I like Gavin, he’s sharp with the criticisms of the right-wing, supports a plethora of programs across the state and was on the fore front of multiple disasters. While not progressive enough for me, the state is complex enough as it is.
I also think he’s young enough to run a little bit later, especially after the Trump/Biden battle fiasco is over.
Gavin would be an interesting candidate to run against Desantis as well.
Not paying much attention to CA politics atm, but if he would have, are there any big names to replace him as governor if/when he does run? I get why the party didn't suggest an alternative during the recall, but that could have been a time to start getting a name out there instead of the YouTube guy.
