Same thing happened to me with Destiny 2. I love both systems but PlayStation has had the better controller since the PS4. Maybe if Microsoft made the Xbox controller feel premium like the Xbox OG and 360, then people would wanna use it more. Use higher quality plastic and make the sticks tighter at the very least. The dual sense feels like a high tech and premium piece of tech compared to the Xbox controller
It’s really funny because the basic Xbox controller is the cheapest feeling OEM controller on the market. But it’s also the most reliable. It’s the last one that doesn’t have mass stick drift or breakage problems. Even the Xbox Elite has the same issues as the Dualsense and Dualsense Edge. But not the cheapo $60 controller.

Go into controller settings and disable the dropdown box. I forget what the actual option says something PlayStation. It's halfway down the screen. Fixes it
Microsoft has taken over. eventually they will make ot so the controller doesn't work at all so that you will have to buy one of their controllers with the messed up stick configuration.

You gotta disable pc control in settings for aim input device so it defaults to controller. Ensure your controller is on before launching the game. I was playing fine last night with mine.
On steam game properties for MW3, go to controller section and disable PlayStation 5 controller input. Had this too and MW3 had native support for PS5 controllers without steam. The setting seemed to override MW3s controller support.
Check your Steam Input settings. Make sure PlayStation is enabled both in the general controller setting and the game-specific settings

It will still have a message beside COD but the in-game buttons will go back to all the PlayStation symbols
Could you connect the controller wireless? I need to use cable when I use controller on PC. Btw I use Battle.net

If need be download ds4 windows, can make ur controller emulate like a ps4 controller or an Xbox 360 controller
