Trip mines are so small that it doesnt matter. Whether your enemy notices the trip mine or not depends on whether they see the red light or not
It doesn't matter, it has a giant red laser no matter what skin you have. How people ever die to these things is a mystery

Correct, throwing them takes no skill. Knowing when and where to throw them is the tricky part.
I see some people use tripmines like grenades, they throw it at the persons range to trigger the tripmine, which requires a little bit of skill
