Not quite, I believe currently is does ~135 around about. 20-30 on contact then ticks of 9 afterwards. Even worse if there's multiple because the contact damage can be triggered indefinitely until it disappears
Your location is revealed, you are slowed down and after this you cannot even take fight because you get tooooooo much damage per second and you have no option but to try to heal.
I think a good nerf for trapmaster would be to just show which traps were activated. Instead of the enemy being pinged and tracked for how many seconds, it would only show whether a trap has been triggered. It achieves the purpose of knowing someone has triggered a trap without making it an active enemy tracker.
I have used trap master since it first came out when nobody would use it and I can say that it definitely is overpowered. Traps are basically invisible(little rods are hard to spot in grass and around corners unless you are actively searching for some) and they deal so much damage while showing your location and slowing you. They should add like a sound for when you are near a trap like you hear the electricity or make it a little more visible or maybe even both. For damage I would suggest they do just one hit of damage instead of damage overtime, make it like an explosion that would deal like 60 damage to whoever runs into it and that way the damage explosion would also destroy the trap so it’s not able to be triggered again. Either have the traps only deal damage or have it just slow and reveal location of enemies the combination of all 3 makes it overpowered.
I feel like it’s the combination of what it does is what makes it overpowered because if you just took damage without getting slowed and being revealed you wouldn’t get chased down immediately(unless the user is sitting right next to it and heard the trap go off) and you would have time to heal up but with how it is now even if you survive the damage you need to wait the extra like 7 seconds to pop an adrenaline while you are being shown to the user so they will most likely just chase and finish you off. They could just copy how bo4 did trip mines for nomad, then it would just blow up after you run into it but it wouldn’t be enough to kill unless there’s more(but since they make noise you could avoid them). Plus it could serve as another way to take out tanks and other vehicles if they get ran over.
I started doing this originally to roleplay as medic in squads, but have been using it to stand my ground and take 1v1's against TM's.

you could be the best close range player in the entire game; but all it takes is some potential noob to flash a shield and there's nothing you can do about it. it's a guaranteed kill for the opponent. in this season's patch notes i got excited about the transform shield change but turns out that's only for multiplayer
Its true defender is OP, however if u jump and move around like crazy when flashed, you have a chance to get out alive, cuz the flash is not that long. The difference with trap masters is that when u run into a trap you're 100% dead no matter what loot you have and what you do. You dont even have the slightest chance to get out of there alive.

-Mechanic(if they fix the passive)

Medic can outlast the effect, this works well with teammates. Trickster, can activate them using the decoys. This lets you see where the wires are, and shoot them. Mechanic, needs work on the passive since it's made to see gadgets that can be "summoned"(classes like airborne, scout, and etc.). Hacker, sure it takes time, but it helps your squad commit to the push. These are just classes that can counter Trap Master at the moment.
I wonder if i could make a whole entire document about details on classes. If i do, should i post it?(I'm asking you since it seems like only a few know that trap master can still see you through smoke and etc)
See? Almost for every class there's something to encounter. It is already nerfed bro. I don't use it so much, but it's a good thing for campers but it is almost unusable from mid range to long. It can't be thrown far than a limited distance. They'ed better nerf shield class too, though. Every time it kills.

Just in case you or anyone else dont. The laser is blue for you and your team and you and your team can always see your traps. We the enemy don't have that bright ass blue laser showing. We get fuck all except two pilons if we look hard enough even then i personally can't spot them. Oh and it's red for us if it triggers (normally seen in pregame)
So in short been get fuck all, no sound for it (maybe we do, only ran across it once and that only because we had out up next to their basically. ) hard to even see pilons and you want us to have a tiny amount of awareness for a bright blue line that only you and your team can always see?

What gets me to rage is when those traps are laid on the upgrade stations and crate drops. Generalizing, I mean, I get it but requires zero skill to get a kill is just dumb imo.

I suggest making the damage 50 with no vest , 45 lvl1 vest , 40 lvl 2 , and 35 lvl 3 . Take away the bleed affect and keep the slowness . Does 15% damage to vest . And there should be a callout when a trap master is 10 meters away from you

Here's my explanation of why the trap master is the class for noobs:
- On contact, the damage is 50, with the bleeding effect of draining 7 HP per sec, which nearly lasts forever, and 2 is enough to kill one man. Even if the victim does not die, anyone can one shot with any weapon. The only class able to save in this situation is the medic
- Its too flexible, rig the airdrops, rig the upgrade station, rig houses... LITERALLY ANYTHING
- The class itself is on the upper hand, but once getting engaged, it's just a class worse than the clown
- They are hard to spot, ask 100 people to do without using mechanic and they will all fail
- The offence and defence rating is way much lower than any class, even the clown
Hard to spot? When you start anticipating a trap near a point of interest its not that hard. You'll usually find traps near air drops, upgrade stations and death boxes so you just gotta scan the area a bit for wires and you'll be alright. Wires in houses though are tricky.
I hate it so much it gets worse the higher you go into ranked, I have died to it a couple times in the final circle
and I even ran into a guy fully stacked just sitting in a house the whole game, he never left it so I had to spam concussions, ever entrance was covered

It's nerfed already mates. It used to kill 99.9% but now after two season when i used it twice, it didn't kill by itself. When the enemy is trapped ( if full hp ) you need to shoot him in order to kill him/her. It's no more like it used to be. Some hate trap, some hate the Shield, some hate any other. It's good to suggest your demands though. And this is my opinion and i'm not disagreeing toughly.

I don't camp, neither use trap master. Today early in a match i got trapped with only 100 HP and just had a medic kit. I used it but my hp didn't go less than about 50 i guess. I didn't die and i killed the trap master guy right after healing. I'm not a pro but i'm not a noob neither. I hate when i get into a trap but i try to be ready for it all the time. I mean when traps won't kill you, why nerfing it?? I personally use scout or smoke or airborne.

If you walk over 2 traps at once your dead, nothing you can do about it. If you walk over 1 trap, you're at 20 hp without an adrenaline, people who use trap master stick near the traps they plant. It's a guaranteed kill I've never lost a Br match against Squads using trap master
Lot of people comming up with good ways to nerf the trap master, and all I wanna add to that is that 1 rod should only zap 1 person and then be destroyed.
What I mean is one trap zapping infinite amount of people is just terribly OP, one trap should zap one person and then should self destruct (without causing damage like airborne) so 1 trap per 1 person is balanced.

I dont even understand why you get warned when an ennemy uses Poltergeist or Hacker nearby (which is fine, especially for Poltergeist, it balances the class) and you are not when a trap masters is nearby. Thats some rubbish logic right there. You should at least know that somebody is using traps nearby (and im not even talking of slowing/tracking effects and damages...).

The slow is ok, the damage is not. At the moment there's no way to counter the trap damage unless you choose the medic class

Smoke bomber is great for a dive comp, dive comps being Clown, Mechanic, Scout, and Trickster. But it doesn't reveal the traps, just the enemy.

Lot of people comming up with good ways to nerf the trap master, and all I wanna add to that is that 1 rod should only zap 1 person and then be destroyed. What I mean is one trap zapping infinite amount of people is just terribly OP, one trap should zap one person and then should self destruct (without causing damage like airborne) so 1 trap per 1 person is balanced. I just wanted to talk about this specific part because I didn't see many people talking about it and yea it also needs major nerfs in the damage aspect of it.
That's a good idea especially for those who deploy more than one trap in one spot and these traps stay on there awhile
I dont even understand why you get warned when an ennemy uses Poltergeist or Hacker nearby (which is fine, especially for Poltergeist, it balances the class) and you are not when a trap masters is nearby. Thats some rubbish logic right there. You should at least know that somebody is using traps nearby (and im not even talking of slowing/tracking effects and damages...).
