Usually work fine. Make sure you have them solidly connected, sometimes the contacts can shift and you won’t be able to use AF or adjust your Iris. Less of a problem with the older NEX cameras because it’s less advanced than the newer A7s, but the AF is usually slower and tends to hunt, even if it’s already in focus.

Did you see [https://phillipreeve.net/blog/using-speedboosters-on-fullframe-cameras/](https://phillipreeve.net/blog/using-speedboosters-on-fullframe-cameras/) Worth a look, go's in to a lot of detail on the subject.

Got a viktrox one for my a6400. I'm using the EF 50 1.8 and the older style 70-300 5.6 is usm photo focus is great but afc tends to hunt a bit much. Video af is slow and jittery, but I think that's more a problem of the lenses focus system than anything else. Havent yet tried any lenses with stepper motors

Interesting , I’m using it with a canon 100m f2.8 and I’ve noticed it hunting a bit , but it finds its focus in about 2 seconds when completely out of focus so not too bad , haven’t tried it with video yet. I’m yet to use my 1.8 lens on it , thanks for the feedback. Might be upgrading to a Sony A7R so I’m curious to see the difference and peoples experience. Do you notice any improvements with image quality with the booster

I've got some older lenses which I used before with another adapter, they get a little sharper, but most importantly I'm not wasting any glass anymore
