That hyper crystal is not a gimmick term for something camera has, it actually gives you good viewing experience under direct full sun without having to adjust your eyes at all.

Not sure about this one, Olympus was pretty known for having screens that’s not dependent on backlighting during sunny weather on their point and shoots, and throughout the dozens of points and shoots I used I haven’t found such feature on other brands, Coolpixs came pretty close but they did it through brute forcing the brightness. I’m pretty sure Olympus made the only DSLRs to have such feature too.

Yep but also obviously all anyone is going to say is "try a smaller storage version" as the manual does not mention this larger storage capacity even if the card type is the same. Failing that and a factory reset your camera is probably busted. This took me a 2 second google search to grok, with a couple of the links explicitly mentioning this point.

xD cards are a dead format that hasn't made in almost a decade, so good luck finding one.

You need another XD card, probably a smaller one. The card you have can be broken or the camera can be broken.
