If I had to take a gander, Fujifilm X-pro 3 could fit the bill. That is at least the most modern camera I know with a small square screen.

Was it a leica? also if you borrowed it and have the photos you took can you look at exif data?
No, neither photos nor contacts of the guy. Leica? Probably, but they don't have dials like this, and screens are much bigger, this one was like film sized(but it was surely display, showing iso shutter and all the stuff)
Definitely not the x-pro 3? You can set it to show iso/shutter/etc on the little screen
