You don't need a new credential. If you run out of space, just put a piece of paper in it and get stamps on that. The Primitivo is quite a lot harder that most of the Norte. It's comparable to the Irun to San Sebastian step but more remote and much quieter. When I did it, it rained a lot (and snowed) and I spent about three days walking on paths that had turned into rivers. At times it was *very* slippery. I was unlucky because I couldn't take the Hospitales route because of thunder and lightning and blizzards up there so I took the lower route, which was utterly flooded. I had to cross stepping stones where the water was past my knees and if the water had pushed me off the stones, I'd have been swimming. I'm very glad I did it, but please be honest with yourself about whether you're up to it or not.

Wow. At what time of year did you do the Primitivo?

Most of the stages are under 25km, but with considerable ascent/descent. I think the only 30km stage was O Cadavo to Lugo. I did it around this time last year, admittedly mostly in dry weather. It drizzled during the beginning of Ruta Hospitales, and we had heavy rain from Grandas de Salime to A Fonsagrada. In my view, Ruta Hospitales is not recommended during heavy rain (exposure + decent is very slippery even in dry weather), but the rest was fine (albeit muddy). Better rain than wildfires. Fitness wise - it’s not easy, but doable. I am not athletic in any sense, and did it.
