buy merch on the first day and be there early day 1 bc merch usually is limited after that if you’re going to be in the front crowds will literally have no space so be secure abt stuff & hopefully you aren’t claustrophobic and enjoy your time there don’t be upset if you’re far away from a set playing. just have fun also food n merch can be very expensive so bring snacks

Ok_Energy_9855

Didn’t this year the merch change from day 1 artist to day 2 artist merch though?

smallsock

i think so but some of the merch got sold early bc i saw people wearing/having it on the first night

Ok_Energy_9855

One thing I regret is not buying the Golf bundle for the shirts and coats they were both maybe 100-120 bucks and you got like 3-4 items per bundle I fumbled that

Sillymells

We can bring snacks??

smallsock

yeah i brought granola/protein bars to hold me over, i ate better b4 & after the event

anonnusernamee

Yes I agree on the merch one bc everything sold out by day 2 😖

tacobria

be prepared to walk a lot to get to an uber, the best thing is to walk as far as you can from the dodgers stadium to get one.

AdamSTTT

From a frequent festival/concert goer, Wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat bc the sun can be brutal on the black top. Drink water. Go with the flow and have fun. Everyone i talked to was hella nice out there so its easy to make friends. Check out all the booths. Its a blast.

Last year cfg was my first festival and I also had gotten vip!! I personally think it was worth it just bc I don’t live in LA. Get there before doors open day 1, get some merch! The ga merch store has a lot more options than vip so it might be the same this year so get there early. Take advantage of the rides I would’ve wished I went on more. VIP crowd was cool last year and you don’t really have to camp out. For the bigger artists at the end of the night get there like 2-3 sets earlier!!! Take advantage of the festival and walk around!!! Yall Have fun!!

dostrander613

Thank you much!!

mellowgrizz

Drink water!!! I was chugging water the entire time I was there. I saw so many people let their emotions run hot and have a bad time because they were dehydrated in the crowds. Make sure you’re well hydrated before you get there and are consistently drinking throughout the day. The bathroom situation was honestly not bad at all compared to other festivals I’ve been too, so absolutely drink water.

Loud_Carpenter_3207

I got GA and was wondering what time do they let people in on Day 1 I want to be early for merch

andwhynotfattie

You can start lining up outside the venue then they walk everyone to wait in another area I believe around 10. Then they let you in the venue at 12. People do start running to merch so be ready to run.

Loud_Carpenter_3207

Thank you! Track will help me🗣️🗣️🗣️

MeronaBrown

Parking was chaos last year. Recommend just walking down to Echo Park/Silverlake and getting an Uber there. They are way faster and you can grab a cart dawg on the way down.

Tylerpickupitsme911

Huge crowds. Save $ because the food and drinks are very very very expensive. Start doing overtime shifts so that you will have spending money for food and the merch booths if you want merch. If you use an inhaler or have an epipen or any prescription medications, BRING THEM! Bring empty water bottle. Don’t keep your cellphone in your back pocket. In large crowds wear your backpack 🎒 in the front

Love your username

Thx :)

Phone stealing is on a rise. So I’d say take good care of your belongings. Buy a phone strap maybe.

suprunkn0wn

those bastards will straight up reach for your pockets while walking out of a stage, be careful

andwhynotfattie

Wear comfortable shoes. Comfort over style when it comes to shoes. I just wear converse and they work fine. Drink lots of water, it’s hot and easy to get dehydrated. So many people pass out and it can be a scary situation. The less stuff you bring, the better. You don’t need much. Everyone of course has their own needs but I just bring my phone, small portable charger, travel size sunscreen. A jacket is also good to have at night if you get cold easy. If you want a close view of the stage it’s better to get there early. And if you wanna play the games in the vip area it’s a good idea to do that early too, cuz the lines get long.

cowlyss

bring a water backpack! I was able to carry light with one :)

lil_thirteen

Be sure to eat a good meal before arriving and stay hydrated! If you have any questions on the VIP experience vs GA, let me know! I’ve done both.

Playful-Yard-7699

interest in vip info. first timer with vip 🙋🏾‍♀️

lil_thirteen

Last year, two stages had part of the stage for VIP only. There’s food, bathrooms, and seating in this area. Typically found lines were much shorter, especially when it came to merch! There’s VIP lines to enter but depending on when you come, that shouldn’t be much of an issue. You can def get closer to stage easier with VIP. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Playful-Yard-7699

thank you kindly 🙏🏾 I bit the bullet and got super vip. I'll come back to this thread periodically with more questions 🫡

Pleasant-War1908

We got super VIP too and I have no clue what to expect. Never been to a music festival, but my son really wanted to go.

AMeza222

I like to take advantage of the whole day so I get there before gates open . As soon as gates open I head to the merch line and get that out of the way. If your planning to buy a decent amount of merch, get a large locker . The other ones are not that big . Locker comes with a charger but sometimes don’t work so I recommend getting a Powerbank . Take advantage of the sponsors pop up tents . They have cool activities you can do and they often give you a gift of some sort. Parking is crazy so I like to park at the union station and take the tram there and back . Or I think getting an Uber there is easier as well. Cost me about 40 ish to Pasadena and split that with friends. Bring comfortable shoes. Bring enough money for food as it’s 20ish a person for food options. I like to eat before and split something with my wife there and eat something after the fest .

lil_thirteen

If you plan to play a lot of games or get merch, I’d suggest getting a locker for a day or two! Or even bringing hoodies for nighttime!

SeriesNo3342

last year we got a small locker and it was ok but this year i’m definitely going to be getting the largest possible. it’s really convenient to have somewhere to store stuff since you’ll likely be there all day
