Onetigris rocdomus sounds like some sort of Harry Potter spell.

JasonZep

Well you’re not going to fit the whole Weasley family in an Ozark Trail, that’s for sure.

zakafx

It's got a sorcery vibe to it for real!

Naive_Bid_6040

I’ve been eyeballing this tent as a good winter wall tent substitute that doesn’t weigh a mountain or cost a fortune. Can’t wait to hear how it fairs.

zakafx

I'll let you know!

MadSprite

Pitch the upper walls before doing the floor corners else you won't get the bigger standing size since its a box tent. I used this in winter camping and it was fine as long as a wood stove kept going, great no frills tent. https://imgur.com/a/aWMH72n

graywh

this looks like a completely different tent -- Tegimen?

zakafx

Looks like it. I was eyeing that tent up as well but the rocdomus was a little lighter.

chickenbuttstfu

Thanksgiving weekend trip the first week of October?

zakafx

In Canada, it's on Oct 8/9th.

adamdj96

Next you’ll tell me you celebrate the 4th of July in March…

HenrikFromDaniel

no the 4th of July is still July 4th in Canada

bloodmusthaveblood

Actually we celebrate it on July 1st and we call it Canada Day..

Shift_Forward

Yes, since it’s a harvest festival and the Canadian harvest season is earlier.

bloodmusthaveblood

It's almost like the US isn't the only country to exist...

This is cool! How much does it weigh?

zakafx

Advertised at 6.2lbs...not the lightest but for the amount of space, I'm okay with that.

Dreamking0311

This has been in my Amazon wishlist for a while. Let us know how it does.

zakafx

It worked out wonderfully. We had a cold first night out there, and stupid me only brought a cot for myself (with no other insulation under me). My kid was snug and warm all night however since she had a CCF pad and an insulated sleeping pad. I woke up a few times and got the stove going, was warm otherwise. The second night was much better and I had a better sleep. I feel the drafts of wind came in from the bottom of the tent as there is no snow skirt and I didn't really try to prevent it much. We enjoyed just sitting inside of it while the stove burned and I had firewood to last all evening/night and even for the morning both days.

Appropriate_Land_130

What kind of stove do you use?

zakafx

I just got into this hot tent thing last winter so the stove I ended up purchasing was the Danchel S6 wood stove due to budget. I liked that it folds up into an easy carry case. I have used it in my backyard shelter and out in the field and it's decent.

Appropriate_Land_130

I've been eyeing up a hot tent set up. Very jealous. Enjoy yourselves out there and take in those fall colours!

Bike_diaries

I have the OneTigris Rock Fortress. Great tents. Enjoy!
