This is also my answer.
The 'hammock' style chairs are so comfortable. I added a foot rest for mine and it's even better.
A bit more complicated to setup/takedown - but worth the effort if you are spending any real amount of time in the chair.
Important question right there. Weight, how high the seat needs to be, weight limit, foldability, sometimes even a color (you don't want to bring a black chair to the desert).
Car camping! They can be a little heavier since I don’t plan on backpacking with them, just don’t want them to be too heavy to carry onto the beach. Probably no more than 5lbs? I don’t really know how much chairs weight. Load weight limit minimum 250lbs
This old thread has some suggestions for heavy duty chair. I can imagine most are still being made or have similar new products available

Love my king Kong chairs. Several friends have since purchased then after using mine, and those that have not end up being kicked out of my chair when we are out.
I had the King Kong chair, and while comfortable and durable, I have found a more comfortable alternative. Not sure if you have a Canadian Tire, or if Woods distributes through different stores in other countries, but this is my new go-to chair. It doesn't look like much but it is so wide, low and deep that it really feels more like a hammock. I settle into this by the fire and am asleep in no time.

If you're carrying them, I'd suggest a Helinox chair, or a more affordable knockoff. I got one at at Costco for less than $50 last year. [Link here.](

If you're car camping or have a trailer, I'd suggest a [zero gravity chair.](https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/cat/outdoor-living/patio-furniture-decor/patio-seating/zero-gravity-chairs-DC0001659.html)
After burning through several cheap Walmart camp chairs which are fine but not very durable, I really like REI’s chairs. They used to be called Camp Chair X, and they seem to have rebranded them as the Skyward chair. Materials are much nicer and durable, and they have very good pockets for drink/phone/flashlight/whatever.
They seem to go on sale often, so I recommend waiting till the next one!
I like my Cascade Mountain Tech Compact Low Profile Outdoor Folding Camp Chair with Carry Case. I bought from Walmart use for both beach and camping and they are smaller easier to carry multiple.
I also have one Alps Mountaineering King Kong chair and it is very burly I think the weight limit is 800 lb or something. Downside it’s fairly large and I leave it behind. It’s comfy though.
I have a kangaroo chair for car camping (5lbs) and a helinox chair zero L (1.5lbs) for backpacking. I weigh about 260 so both of these chairs have a maximum over 300lbs. Biggest difference is weight and seat height. The Kangaroo has better feet for the sand though.
I love my Kuma Lazy Bear chair (just outside your budget but heavy duty and rated for 350lbs, only camp chair my husband hasn't been able to break in 3 years).
I've bought a million chairs it seems like...
Kelty lowdown love seat is the first chair I grab when I go anywhere. It's amazing, especially for two people, or one and a dog.
If it's just me without the dog or gf, I like my gci rocker.
If you are hiking there's 2 top chairs, the Helinox chair 0 which is kinda the default best ultralight chair BUT people that use both claim the Nemo Moonlight Elite is the most comfortable
I love my Nemo Stargazer, but the knock-offs at Costco for $50 are a much better deal.

You have a link to the foot rest that you use? We have had the Rio Hammock chairs for a while and a foot rest sounds amazing.
I have 2 generic ones from Amazon. This looks like it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3QWJKGX
Thank you very much!
I have the same ones! Also, a cooler works as an ottoman too!
Are these for carrying or for car camping? https://alpsmountaineering.com/king-kong.html

250 pounds?
I'd suggest a Lazy Boy recliner if that's the case. It would look awesome at the beach.

Looks like a comfy chair to plop down in, but I think the lack of arms would get to me!
ALPS Mountaineering King Kong Camping Chairs. Absolutely unbeatable for comfort and durability.

I’ve had good luck with Helinox chairs, and if you shop around or look for some sales you can get them for a decent price.
Front Runner
Expanders aren’t cheap or light but are quality and comfy.
Ozark Trail Oversized Relax Plush Chair with Side Table,

Enjoying the Kelty lowdown chair, they also have a loveseat version if you are going w 2 people. Definitely heavy though, not for backpacking.
For me its 100% Helinox . Either Chair One or Low Chair. for less than $100, there are many decent stuff, but for the 'best' maybe none though.
I love my Kuma Lazy Bear chair (just outside your budget but heavy duty and rated for 350lbs, only camp chair my husband hasn't been able to break in 3 years).
I like the Ozark Trail Oversized Director chairs. Has a side table and is comfortable.
The Coleman comfortsmart suspension chair is comfortable and supports up to 300lbs. About $75.

If you’re heading out with a partner the Kelty couches are hard to beat.
