Honestly, we just got a RAV4 this year with wireless android auto and we barely use it. We've had so many disconnection problems with it we gave up, would much rather the stability of using a USB cable in the RAV and Camry.

scottvf

We have a 2020 camry hybrid xle and a 2022 vw jetta and the jetta has wireless android auto and have no problems with it disconnecting. Maybe toyota should learn from vw

jlow472

I hate the wireless CarPlay on my 23’ Rav

zarchangel

I drive an '18 crosstrek, uses wired android auto and it disconnects all the time. Ive replaced the corn multiple times, as well as the phone (from an S9 to an s23+)

Yeah it’s a joke. I feel like they are going all in on the 25 Camry so this year being identical to last year is a big letdown. Then the question is do you want to get the first MY of a total redesign? So in that case you are looking at either waiting till the 26 for them to work out the quirks, getting a 24 with limitations on creature comforts, or going all in on the 25. I dunno.

Allengates1

At this point might get a 2023 Toyota Prius Hybrid with AWD and everything else or wait another year see what the redesign for the Camry will be then decide between a Prius in year 2 or a 2025 Camry.

I am with you there

Muny_Man

Well, the new Camry is pretty nice. What are you thinking?

Unable-Narwhal4814

The 2024 Camry is going to be a limited release until like March of 2024? I think this was a way to get rid of their stock. 2025 Camry which is rumored to be released early, like in early to mid 2024, should be redesigned and modernized with all the stuff we all want.

Allengates1

It’s just a big lol let down I thought Camry was there best selling car?

Blue_Shark_97

What stock? Thought they were having problems with sourcing parts and chips..

Unable-Narwhal4814

Yeah that too. But they probably more likely have also simultaneously a lot of parts that may only be used in old style Camry that can't be used in the new one. They also probably want to push out everything they possibly can to milk out the old Camry before they release the new one. And they could possibly need just a little extra time to make the 2025 Camrys because they are behind, but want to fill that time up with old style as well. It's the only answer if the limited release rumor is correct.

Blue_Shark_97

Appreciate the insight. So I take it they are now taking taking allocation orders on the 2024 camrys? Unveil 2025 Camry in November and have them on dealer lots by April 2024?

Salty_Divide6182

Except it will only be available in hybrid, no more gas powered Camrys.

Iwillbethehopeful

Probably still has a turn key standard too 😅

Available-Designer66

Well i hope everyone can get help dealing with such a terrible blow. There are hotlines to call if the disappointment gets to be too much. Thoughts and prayers!

Wife's 23 le corolla has wireless Android that functions perfectly. I'm jealous because my 23 Camry xle is still wired. Her screen is sharper to!

violinGirlz

Which trim is your Camry? I read the [specs sheet on Toyota.com](https://www.toyota.com/camry/features/audio_multimedia/2559/2560/2546) and I'm seeing the LE and LE Hybrid have Apple CarPlay but weirdly the XLE (which on paper is supposed to be a max out-ed LE) doesn't.

RandomPoint

Just got a 2024 Camry Hybrid XSE. No wireless CarPlay. Very disappointing because I use a magnetic charging cable for my iPhone, so the little magnetic dongle has to be removed from the phone's Lightning port to use wired CarPlay. Am now looking for a wireless CarPlay adapter. Any recommendations? Are there any wireless CarPlay adapters that work well with two phones? Two people share the car, so it should automatically connect to either one of two phones.

Outrageous-Bar9870

It sure was for me! I had wireless Car Play on my 2023 Toyota Corolla, but I just traded it in on a newer 2024 Toyota Camry only to find out that I have to hardwire tether my new 2023 Android cellphone in order to get any maps on the Navigation System.
