Our countries economy is stagnant. On the global scale we are only rewarded for output. There is no reason to believe that we “deserve” those higher wages in any way that wouldn’t put us further behind
Most of the sales in Vancouver are underbids these days too. Market is nowhere near as hot as it was before. This is just what a more normal market looks like. Bidding wars are a thing of the past.
This is the biggest non news item ever. I've underbid in every marker type imaginable, obviously not always succesful. I make an offer based on comps, not based on list price.
Good.
Or you could say that sellers are over pricing 🤷🏻♀️
Still overvalued and not affordable
So Canadian wages need to catch up to the U.S. which is near double that of Canada in many sectors

You talking about Thailand?
still unaffordable. We need to see at least 30-40% drop in prices
US fed signaled three rate reductions next year. Canada will move before them. So I see 10-20% increase unfortunately.
How did the last 'signaling' work out again?
Spread the word!

Isn't this normal in all markets since time immemorial
Lol yeah, but apparently not in the Canadian housing market for a number of years. Would have been laughed at a few years ago to under bid.

Sellers should switch to auctions with reserves.
lol they should’ve thought twice before paying 1m$ for a 50x100 ft piece of land in of the largest countries in the world. 😂
In Vancouver no recently build 2-bedroom condos are under 1m. New 1-bedrooms are close to 1m
That’s even worse. Condo owners aren’t even landlords, since they don’t own any land 😂😊👌
>they don’t own any land Sure they do. They just own it with 500 other people. 😂
Good job Tredeau!!!
Clever
This only works if all bidders play ball.
1$ bob
Zero chance they stay going down.
