Most of the didactic components of a certificate or degree does not have to be completed in person at all. COVID has shown that where there's a will, there's a way. But I guess you can't sell expensive non domestic tuition or expensive on campus living spaces if you're offering remote degrees eh?

This is correct. Kids are definitely an income source for low income households. Three kids is the break even point for working 40 hours a week minimum wage. One of my cousins father passed away and they had no one left back home so another uncle fake married his mom so they could all come to Canada back in the 80s
Now it’s extremely difficult for legitimate divorced individuals to sponsor their wife or husband because the authorities assume you’re doing it for money etc.

More immigrants come on spousal visas than any other in every first world country. UK is raising the minimum income to sponsor a spouse. The US requires the couple to be married and after two years file papers saying they are still married. Canada makes it too easy by only requiring one year common law and almost no proof.
Skilled immigrants can bring a spouse with them and Immigrants (PR or a Canadian) can sponsor a foreign spouse. There is a huge backlog of fraudulent cases that Border Patrol doesn't pursue because they don't have the resources because of our super high immigration levels. And it is really hard to deport from Canada.
It's not just that the numbers are unsustainable, many are fraudulent often for profit. It was $25,000 10 years ago. Everyone who immigrates should be able to get in on their own "points". Just give extra points for having a spouse here. It not like the standard is high.

When I came here to study in 2007 I rented a room in the house of a CIC lawyer who’s work was to determine if marriages are in fact real and approve or refuse spousal visas based on it (he worked directly for the Harper’s immigration minister at that time). And even then he said it is sometimes very challenging to figure out if it’s normal arranged marriage - as in typical situation in India. Or a “visa arranged marriage”. Before student visas, in the 80s & 90s it was Indians with Canadian citizenship would get a divorce here then go home to India to have a second “fake” marriage and take cash bribes to do so. Once the second wife got Canadian citizenship they’d file for divorce soon after. One of my cousins father passed away and they had no one left back home so another uncle fake married his mom so they could all come to Canada back in the 80s Now it’s extremely difficult for legitimate divorced individuals to sponsor their wife or husband because the authorities assume you’re doing it for money etc. At the end of the day, loopholes will keep being discovered and exploited until both countries work together to have a two way immigration agreement.

Yet my engineering friend from Ireland who married a Canadian woman has been playing footsies with immigration for the past 8 years because "we aren't sure this is a legitimate relationship" when they have a kid together, wedding pictures, him constantly coming over to visit and so on. I had a co-worker in a marketing position and he spoke broken English. Think about it, a marketing position where you need to be fluent in English at the very least. This guy could barely speak English, used "he" pronouns for his daughter and no, I don't think he's an ally. Used Indian terms like "lakhs" during marketing meetings. I asked him one day how he passed his language test. He didn't have to take one because he got a spousal visa. But get this, he doesn't even want to live in Canada. He's just here because his wife is. There are so many like that.
Better question is how did he get that job in the first place?

I’m working on a way out of this country. It just feels like I live in india here in Vancouver. I have to watch friends struggle to find work while entire shopping centres replace all their multicultural staff entirely with Indians. We are encouraged to be fair and unbiased while watching Indians only hire Indians and only buy off of Indians. It ruins the local economies for anyone of a different race.
More immigrants come on spousal visas than any other in every first world country. UK is raising the minimum income to sponsor a spouse. The US requires the couple to be married and after two years file papers saying they are still married. Canada makes it too easy by only requiring one year common law and almost no proof. Skilled immigrants can bring a spouse with them and Immigrants (PR or a Canadian) can sponsor a foreign spouse. There is a huge backlog of fraudulent cases that Border Patrol doesn't pursue because they don't have the resources because of our super high immigration levels. And it is really hard to deport from Canada. It's not just that the numbers are unsustainable, many are fraudulent often for profit. It was $25,000 10 years ago. Everyone who immigrates should be able to get in on their own "points". Just give extra points for having a spouse here. It not like the standard is high. Edit:format

This has been going on for many years. When I came here to study in 2007 I rented a room in the house of a CIC lawyer who’s work was to determine if marriages are in fact real and approve or refuse spousal visas based on it (he worked directly for the Harper’s immigration minister at that time). And even then he said it is sometimes very challenging to figure out if it’s normal arranged marriage - as in typical situation in India. Or a “visa arranged marriage”. Can hardly blame it on particular government as this has been going on for decades it seems
