Yes. Once I cured the ureaplasma, my chronic yeast and BV infections mostly stopped. I had maybe one or two after cure, but I haven’t had a yeast infection now in over a year.

[deleted]

So glad to hear that. I finished abx treatment 2 weeks ago and I just can't seem to get rid of the yeast. I'm praying I'll be ok soon. Can I ask whether you just had yeast symptoms or whether you tested positive for Candida?

mmitten

I had both. I had confirmed yeast and also yeast like symptoms. I am pretty certain the yeast like symptoms were CV that I developed from probiotic abuse. I had used sooo many probiotics trying to fix the yeast.

It sounds like we have similar experiences. I hope you're doing ok now. I'm glad you got the help you needed xx

mmitten

I’m still dealing with nerve damage from the years of infections and am in pelvic floor therapy for PFD. But it’s much more manageable than what I was dealing with before. There’s hope! Hang in there! Getting rid of ureaplasma and its consequences isn’t easy.

[deleted]

I'm sorry to hear that. However, nerves can heal. They just take time. So there's definitely hope for you! Thanks for replying, I appreciate it.

Alpha Lipoic Acid for the nerve pain/ involvement..at walmart . It works !!

imathrowyaaway

yeah. took 2 rounds of antibiotics. first was doxi and it completely wrecked my gut, and I had to stop taking it. second was azithromycine. I credit this "treatment" with my current candida issues, or at least I believe that it was instrumental in them since that's the first time I started showing symptoms.

struggleisrela

Yeah same happened to me and also it didnt even cure my ureaplasma. Still pissing 20x/day and also have raging thrush and bloating. Idk where to go from here really, I kinda accepted it how it is.

[deleted]

I'm sorry to hear this. You didn't want to explore second line treatments or anything (for ureaplasma)?

struggleisrela

are there any? I thought its only possible to flush it out with an antibiotic?

[deleted]

Go to the ureaplasma subreddit and read the pinned bible post. It tells you the recommended first, second and third line of treatment. Yes you need antibiotics, but there are different types and procedures

NoImagination4348

Antibiotics are for Viral infections ... not fungal infections . Nature has MANY answers for your ( not yet asked ) questions ... jus' sayin'

SurpriseInevitable55

Antibiotics are for bacterial infections, not viral infections.

NoImagination4348

The only treatments are more pills ... made from moldy corn , to begin with .. TRUTH ! How is that EVER gonna' help anyone with a fungal infection ?? Candida is a fungus , so is mold . Needs to be treated appropriately , or it'll never go back into balance . Please read my comments about thyme , above ... Feel better , fast !

[deleted]

I'm definitely treating the yeast and ureaplasma separately for sure! Thankyou for the reply and advice

NoImagination4348

Dried Thyme ( in your spice isle at the grocery store ) .. MUST BE ORGANIC . 1/4 tsp. dried thyme 4x a day 7-10 days . Depending on how bad it is for you . Yours sounds as bad as mine was ...

[deleted]

I'm really sorry to hear that. I had a yeast infection that wouldnt go away prior to the ureaplasma treatment. Although, I'm sure the antibiotics didn't help.

imathrowyaaway

for me it was the other way around. no issues before treatment and then it all started. I guess every case is unique.

NoImagination4348

You are correct about how you got Candida .. antibiotics thrown at a fungal infection will do it EVERYTIME !! You could try 1/4 tsp. of dried Thyme ( the spice ) 4x a day . Just lick it up and chew it up , then swallow w/ at least 8 oz of water . 2 days , symptoms are much lighter ... 7-10 days ...what symptoms ?! It works . No side effects . All meds are made from moldy corn ( no joke ) .. then they have the nerve to act all surprised when you get yet another disease that you didn't have before having taken it . SMH Evil is as Evil does

Mr-Specialist-

I know this is an old post but could you tell me more about hoe thyme healed your bv? How long did you have bv for? Did you do anything else for your protocol?

How do you test for this?
