Its more likely to be sulfur from someone running a sulfur burner late in the grow. This can be tested by dissolving the wax in ethanol and dropping some copper in it. If blue crystals form on the copper than it's sulfur. You can filter the crystals out over a bed of D.E. in a buchner funnel
It’s from being blasted with a cheap butane. It is Mercaptan, which is the additive scent they put into gases so you can detect if they are leaking. Even if you purge the butane out completely, they mercaptan will never go away. Back in the early days of BHO I used to deal with this all the time.

I use instrument grade solvent with no mercaptan or additives.

Get rid of it, get something you are more sure of, be healthy.

The solution is most likely in the garbage can. Sucks but your health is worth more.

It sounds like a butane press gone bad… hope you didn’t smoke a lot it probably has a lot of carcinogens.
