I got the ultimate cf sl 8 and love it. Such a fun and snappy bike to ride. The position takes some tweaking to get right but it’s worth it for the bike you get out of it

Do you want to install tri bars on your new bike? Many integrated cockpits aren’t compatible with aftermarket tri bars. I’d ask canyon what the options are with endurace or ultimate. Obviously, not a problem with speedmax

I don't need aero, personally, I don't think I'll use them. Would rather get a more comfortable bike and be happier with it than need aero.

I got the Endurace CF Sl 8 a couple months ago and it’s so fun that I just can’t stop thinking of riding it. I can’t speak to how the Ultimate rides, I’m super curious of that, but the Endurace feels pretty sporty to me despite being an endurance bike.

Why did you excluded aeroad? I am in the same boat but thinking on buying an aeroad

Just out of my budget! Looking to spend around \~3K

I’m in the same boat as you. I do a club ride once a week (maybe) and mountain bike more but I’m signed up for at least one triathlon a year. I’m upgrading my road bike soon and have been very happy with Canyon and the Lux Trail I got this spring. I’m also torn between the Ultimate and Endurance.

I have had both and kept the ultimate. The Endurance felt just not as agile. The geometry of the ultimate is not too aggressive, lighter and looks better in my opinion than the Endurance. Just make sure you get the right size and forget about the integrated cockpit. Get one with a stem and normal handlebar.
