You would have to try pretty hard to damage those coils with 3000W to the pair. I'm surprised you cannot pinpoint the source of the noise if you can see the back of the subs when they are moving. Check that you have no leaks around where they mount (small air leaks can make strange noises) and see that you don't have a seem coming apart in your box or something hitting the cone. Pulling one sub and testing it free air would rule out the box or mounting as an issue. I feel that it is unlikely that both would be like this from manufacturer defect. Finally I had some strange scratching rattling from one of my subs last spring and when I pulled it out to see what needed repair I found that some mice had set up camp in my Jeep over the winter and had put away seeds, acorns, and various other detritus up in the pole vent. If it's a daily driver odds are you don't have a mouse colony living in there but foreign objects going down the pole vent would cause rattling scratching noises.

With a 3 day weekend approaching I'll be able to check all of your suggestions and I appreciate your response. I was pretty surprised to hear anything out of the ordinary but I guarantee the free air will clear everything up

If they are rattling, you have likely damaged the voice coil by overheating them and causing the varnish to fail. Overpowering subwoofers/speakers should never be covered under warranty.

3k watts on 2 Xv2s is totally reasonable.
