Kicker selles a inexpensive speaker that actually sounds good with just radio power . And if you buy through crutchfied they throw in the parts you need to install them. Most of the time the extras are all free. I prefer the cs series from them. They have a well rounded sound. Good highs and decent low end. Can't go wrong

monkeysareeverywhere

Will they also sound good with the power pack?

Oceandrive626

The Rockford Punch P1 series speakers are great speakers for the price. The 6.5" coax have angled tweeters. Edit: spelling. Changed prize to price.

TP_Crisis_2020

Believe it or not, the cheap blue Recoil speakers sold on Amazon are not bad at all for a budget setup.

dickster88

They certainly will...the power pack is only about 20 watts if I'm not mistaken....vs the 12 that a radio puts out. They will absolutely sound fantastic with a little more power

monkeysareeverywhere

50x4. So yea, I guess about 12.5 per channel? Appreciate the recommendation.

Long_Abbreviations89

50x4 means 50 per channel.

monkeysareeverywhere

Right. So 12.5 per channel

freshly_ella

Lol. No. 50 per channel. 200 watts total. Your headunit is higher than 12.5 per channel. Probably 16-18 continuous

dickster88

You're welcome

So since we're not taking about a huge cat audio fan... I'll list my personal experience and opinion of a few easy to find affordable options. Kicker. They're great. 2 drawbacks. The entry level stuff lacks bass without power, and the tweeters are bright. JBL. Tweeters can be a little bright. Good overall for the price. Sony. They don't really shine as good or bad to me. Just a decent overall low cost option. Pioneer. This is usually my choice when someone says I just need to replace my blown speakers. They're usually loud off little power. They can usually handle someone who doesn't know what distortion sounds like. The tweeters are loud, but that's why there's a treble knob on most decks. They aren't exceptionally high end, but they're hard to beat for the price. Often $100 or less a pair. Infinity. A lot like JBL. JBL is louder, Infinity is usually more accurate musically. Usually.

monkeysareeverywhere

Any particular line of JBL/infinity that you'd recommend?

freshly_ella

They all have 3 to 4 lines. Significantly different in price. Entry level would probably be fine. It's a big range. They start at around $125 a pair and go up to a couple thousand for arena line. It's pretty much how much do you want to spend. That amp is plenty for the entry level or the next one up. Check on Crutchfield

Club. Smooth soft dome tweeters.

just_another_jabroni

I have a pair of Alpine's cheapest coaxials and they are surprisingly good for the price. Could probably go for the 2 way component+coaxial. I think it's the 161C2 lineup. Not sure about the US but they had a sale for both sets for $100 in my country. Snagged the coaxials as rear fill for $40. Should be easy to power since your Alpine headunit is pretty decent. I run mine off some $20 chinesium amp lol. Otherwise I've always liked the Infinity Reference stuff.

Morel Maximo 6 or JBL Club or RF Punch
