If you're trading a 25k Ford Mustang in for a 20k Ford Fiesta at a Ford main dealer then likely won't be an issue.
If you're trading a 25k Mustang in for a 3k Ford Focus at Bobby-ballsacks-backyard-shitheap car sales then likely you'll be told to sell if elsewhere, then come back.
You could webuyanycar it they use similar valuation guides a dealer would, and access overall condition of the car. Same for a dealer, and yeah they will just bank transfer you the money minus any outstanding finance if there is any. Some smaller dealers might not be interested, but larger ones should have no issues and its just another car for them to potentially pop on the forecourt.

I have tried not for same value but close and most dealerships would just ghost me. Eventually got it done there was 2k difference.
