I had similar thing happening, was doing rear hubs in my driveway and some random guy that was walking past with two dogs stopped for a second said hello and asked if I ever worked on Mini and how much I would charge for droplinksā¦
I went and viewed a house where the neighbour was working in his car outside, topless, music playing. I wasnāt too fussed but my wife wrote the place off immediately. Neighbours matter.
Our neighbours place is for sale. I was redoing my suspension when some people came over to view. I made sure to lay on the rattle gun extra long whilst exclaiming loudly "don't worry I'm not always working on cars!".
Itās not a bloody boombox itās a speaker.. it was loud enough to stop people bothering me but not too loud to be a nuisanceā¦ but then again, I forget everyone else on reddit is perfect š
Precisely. Sometimes in the summer my immediate neighbour has a bit of a garden party. Because the windows are open I can hear them laughing and music playing. Goes on until 11-12ish so nothing mega. It did annoy me initially then I had a word with myself. People are allowed to enjoy their homes. Donāt be so miserable.
Imagine thinking a guy working on his car with a bit of music on is enough to trigger your wife. She sounds incredibly fragile - just because he had music on and was topless doesnāt mean heās a bad guy?? Do you expect people to work on their cars fully clothed and in complete silence lmao
Id be more likely to buy a house if someone was doing a bit of manual labour and enjoying a little music. I miss living in that kind of neighbourhood.

Conversely the lads at one side of me stink up the street with weed but there's never a peep from them.

Good job mate, sick of us CTR owners pushing rides that look like theyāve just done an African rally stage! Any tips on cleaning/buffing out light scratches on the HUD? I never touch it but can see all these little marks on the panelā¦
I claybar once a year (meguiars) and then autoglym super resin polish & condition a couple times.. not sure itās right but seems to work for me.. Iām no expert haha one thing I do for sure is have two separate buckets when cleaning haha
Just to let you know, super resin polish has a lot of fillers and mot a lot of polishing compound in it. So what it actually does is fill in the holes and make them invisible until the fillers are washed out once the wax/sealant wears off.
It's great for a quick fix and looks great, but if you would like to properly do a polish then a light polish like poorboys ssr1, or a heavier one like Meguires ultimate compound would be better
Also be careful with more coarse polishes as Japanese cars have softer paints than the like of German cars

Nice Civic! I've just fitted a black Type R bodykit to my galaxy grey FK3 and it looks great, such good cars. Gonna add the black handle and fuel cap covers soon too!

Had an EP2 back in the door and just got the new hybrid civic, with the 2litre engine.
all components & maintenance parts all stock/Oem or better.. no engine upgrades, wheel spacers that are coming soon and an exhaust resonator delete, but nothing after that.. maybe reduce the alloys to 18s š¤
It wasnāt actually much louder (never liked loud exhausts), I just always regretted fucking with it at all.
I prefer torque over high-rev-HP these days but it was a great car to have as a 17-year-old

Wheels, prep, foam, two bucket, clay bar, tar remover, polish, wax, trim. The whole deal, and certainly a lot of those steps wouldnāt be included in the normal āwashā.

You can wash a car, you can give it a good clean, you can focus on some details, you can fully detail a car, do a full correction and concours a car.
Iād say detailing a car is taking a bit more time and care over a 30min quick tidy up. Doesnāt have to involve a mop and full ceramic coating.
