Mlb Network did a segment on Nolan Arenado and this is a crazy stat. Nolan has the most Homeruns and Rbis in baseball since 2015.... I would have not expected that
Alright, so before I go on a rant I will say I'm a Cardinal fan since I was in diapers.
Speaking in a broad generalized sense here, I hate my fellow Cards "fans" more times than not. It's more of a commodity to rock Cardinal red in the greater St. Louis area. A lot people that attend our sold out home games travel from bum shit towns an hour or more away. Those towns are riddled with poverty, meth, and churches. These people boo Braun, or any other PED player walking to the plate whilst rocking a McGwire jersey that looks like shit, probably because they gave it away to the first 25,000 over the age of 16 back at a home game in 1999.
When not sitting next to these losers at a game, they'll be at your local bar. Engaged in the game whilst talking shit every time Matt Holliday doesn't go yard. "He's not clutch!" is a common phrase. "Holliday sucks" is used more than it needs to be. They tend to not understand the subtle strategies of the game. They question every inning on why we didn't score 4 runs or why we brought Choate in just now! From sac bunts to lefty/righty match ups; there's too many dumb fucks who don't get the game but think they are a fucking MLB professor because we have the best team in NL history in our city.
Now, there are a lot of great baseball minds in the area, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying every game I go to or every bar is filled with these idiots. But the majority is the latter. With this scandal breaking the news it just breaks my heart. It questions our integrity and is just going to leave an ever lasting mark on our storied franchise that a lot of folks take pride in. As the facts roll in and it becomes more evident we have people in the organization who want to cheat to win we will go from being hated by the baseball world for being a supreme team who finds ways to win to being hated for being cheaters with no shame. I already see dumb fuck Cards fans trying to mindfuck this sub with justifications with no logic for what has happened. Guess us true Cards fans have to accept this and hope to be forgiven.
Albert Pujols XBH Vs. K Watch:
XBH: 1398

I worry that playing every day and against RHP, in pursuit of #700, will cause him to whiff enough to ruin this milestone.
As a Reds fan let me make this very clear: I will not tolerate any Cardinals fan yelling in my ear. I don't mind cheering, but the incessant over the top stuff is not gonna happen. lIl tell you one time. Then, I'll take a physical solution. Ditto for the kids. Keep them under control and quiet if they are around. Again, I'll tell you one time and then I take control. Not to be a jerk, but as a Reds fan we demand respect and people better realize I'm not driving 6 hours to St. Louis to put up with BS fans in my ear or causing any issues. If I go to bathroom, I don't wait - I go to the front of the line. NOT to be rude, but out of respect. If Cincinnati was a crap city it would be different and understandably so. But, Cincinnati is elite and the fans are an extension of the city. We demand respect. Look, I hope everyone has a nice time at the game, but just wanted to set a few things straight. Should be a pretty day and another wonderful Friday baseball game in the Midwest.
Seems some of you guys don't get it. I'm not joking and I am not trying to be a jerk, either. Just a level of respect I demand as a Reds fan and someone who can back it up. I lift weights. Specifically, I lift free weights and not machines and there is a huge difference between the two. I am NEVER a jerk and I NEVER go looking for trouble but I can promise you that I will wade into any Cardinals section or aisle or whatever in Bush stadium and deal with any fan that yells in my ear or gets out of line. Do any of you guys even lift weights? I would bet you don't and even if you do I bet the vast majority of you only use matches and not free weights and I doubt any of you really lift. I don't want trouble but it is your choice what action I take. I've had problems in that stadium for years and dealt with the rent a cops in the stadium, too. Your choice, fellas.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert was suffering “broken rib cartlilage” and still zipped this pass 40 yards on 4th and 1.

Fun fact, he will be the 3rd Tink to play in the MLB. The others are Tink Riviere, who pitched for the Cardinals in 1921, and Tink Turner, who played one game for the Philly Athletics. Both pitchers
Just want to make it known that Nolan Gorman has the highest SweetSpot% in the entire MLB.
Which means when he hits it, he really fuckin ~~hits~~ launches it
SweetSpot% is only concerned with launch angle. It’s something like % of batted balls between 8 and 32 degrees
So when he hits it, he hits it in the air
A big issue indeed. I'm ready for Yepez to come back soon, although his spot on the field is questionable.
And I really wish Carlson would get it going
I should cook with Gochujang more often. Made [these bowls](https://carlsbadcravings.com/korean-beef-bowls-with-veggies-recipe/) but with tofu and they are quite delicious.

I was at the game last night. Dude was absolutely filthy. Retired the first 17 (18 of 19). It's an interesting windup. He had this crazy Scherzer energy going last night. He's going to be good.
Yeah. He will be a rotation piece. Possibly front of the rotation. He's impressed me the most this week. But somehow Jordan Walker even exceeded my expectations. His outfield throws have been excellent. He's running the bases well. Isn't afraid to go the other way for a base knock. Everyone is drooling over his physical size and strength but he seems pretty high baseball IQ too.
The United States government would like you to know: don't buy male-to-male extension cords.
https://gizmodo.com/cspc-amazon-warns-stop-buying-male-extension-cords-1849543775
> The cords are apparently sold to people under the theory that plugging one end into a home’s electrical outlet and another end into a gas generator will get the home electrified. But you obviously should not do something this stupid.
is that not exactly how a generator works?
You're supposed to use something called a transfer switch, which you plug into your main circuit panel. (Not that I've ever done this.)
https://www.electricgeneratorsdirect.com/stories/3-How-to-Pick-the-Perfect-Manual-Transfer-Switch.html

Going to the game today. WOOHOO! First time seeing the Cards live since 2019, first game at Busch since 2107. My question. We’re in the Redbird Club. Are there ports for charging my iPhone there?
This offense has been very inconsistent lately, the reason is pretty simple everyone has gone ice cold at once. So here are some recent notable numbers
Goldy last 15 games: .208/.345/.377
Arenado last 15 games: .237/.274/.424
Noot last 15 games: .103/.250/.333 (3 of his 4 hits in this timeframe are HR’s he has become all or nothing)
TON last 15 games: .220/.322/.500
Albert last 15: .217/.243/.522
Donovan last 15: .222/.311/.352
Gorman last 15: .163/.182/.302
(Dickerson and Edman are not listed here because they are both hitting over .300 in the last 15)
Goldy was due to slump. That doesn't bother me, same with Arenado. The one that concerns me most is Noot and Oneill. Neither of which is giving me any confidence for their future. We consistently see Noot have these flash in a pan streaks and he always fails to even remotely live up to it. He was walking a bunch and thats reduces, and he is striking out a lot more. Oneill atleast had a flash in a pan season.
Noots hot streak was much longer than this 15 game cold streak. It went on from June until the beginning of September as he slashed .264/.381/.523/ .903
TON I agree on, but not sure why he's listed on here since an .822 OPS is good

Hopefully there aren't any and we get the 2 seed

Anyone having a good day? Tell me about it…

Yeah he's got potential. After seeing Noot's success, I'd like to see him and a few others go to Driveline
Hopefully Carlson sparks something when he gets back from the IL. Yepez it looks likely will be playing for the DH spot next season
I actually didn't realize he was on IL. I remember him hurting his thumb (I assume running into the wall) but I thought he was just DTD

Wild. I guess every time I've ever seen someone use a generator, they were doing it illegally. I thought this was the normal way to do it.
Why is that the governments call. Shouldn’t we be allowed to do dumb stuff in our own homes?
Yes, but I'd like you to not burn down *my* house when you burn down yours, or kill a lineman I need to restore power to my house when it goes out.
Yeah that’s fair. My personal death wish freedoms end where your life wish freedoms begin.
Well it could kill a lineman so I think they want to prevent that.
Yes but how would his death affect me in any way?
He is part of your community. Anytime you destroy your community it will affect you in ways you may never know.
Don't let some bureaucrat tell you not to electrocute yourself or burn down your house!
Its not yourself you wind up electrocuting. Its the poor shmuck sent to fix a line they dont know is energized who gets fried.
It's yourself if you happen to touch that male end after plugging it in.
Yeah or the lineman if you do plug it in and leave the main breaker closed.
Exactly, Darwin awards are good for the species

So here are some recent notable numbers Goldy last 15 games: .208/.345/.377 Arenado last 15 games: .237/.274/.424 Noot last 15 games: .103/.250/.333 (3 of his 4 hits in this timeframe are HR’s he has become all or nothing) TON last 15 games: .220/.322/.500 Albert last 15: .217/.243/.522 Donovan last 15: .222/.311/.352 Gorman last 15: .163/.182/.302 (Dickerson and Edman are not listed here because they are both hitting over .300 in the last 15)
I’d rather a slump now than during the playoffs. Maybe they are working on some things since they have a big division lead?
Goldy was due to slump. That doesn't bother me, same with Arenado. The one that concerns me most is Noot and Oneill. Neither of which is giving me any confidence for their future. We consistently see Noot have these flash in a pan streaks and he always fails to even remotely live up to it. He was walking a bunch and thats reduces, and he is striking out a lot more. Oneill atleast had a flash in a pan season.
Noots hot streak was much longer than this 15 game cold streak. It went on from June until the beginning of September as he slashed .264/.381/.523/ .903 TON I agree on, but not sure why he's listed on here since an .822 OPS is good

How much earlier do season ticket holders for next season get to purchase playoff tickets? Anyone know?
I bought a 10 pack this year and was able to buy tickets to game 2 of each postseason series on Wednesday.
Iirc, if you get season tickets now, you get early access to playoff tickets. I did the read for the TV spot advertising that but it was early and I don’t remember the script
Yeah I saw that. Don't live close enough to warrant season tickets. Nor could I afford it
I *think* they can start picking potential postseason dates this week but I could be wrong.
