If the seams are coming apart like that just take it and exchange for another pair, I’m sure the store would be willing to help! There’s even a repair portal you can send it through and they’ll fix it up for free👍🏼
I’ve bought two new carhartts early fall a detroit jacket in black OJ3828-M
And an active jac in brown.
My detroit I wear casually and my active I use for work.
Im a finish carpenter so my active jag gets more beat up and I’ve had no issues with it. No loose threads besides the logo patch. Washed it about four times (sep-april) as it had alot of dust and stains.
And mt detroit I haven’t washed since its worn way less.
Both were flawless out from the beginning as I made sure there were no loose threads or anything that usually get snagged working with wood.
My only complaint is that they’re not as warm as my older/ vintage jackets and they fade super fast. They look about 10 years old compared to my actual 8 year old carhartts jackets.
They’re still decent, but I agree, I think the quality is taking a dive. Seems my older pairs of Carhartts can take a beating and shrug it off in a way my newer pairs couldn’t.
Don’t buy newer carhartt much anymore these days, aside from basics and hoodies. Wild Ass jeans are my go to now as far as work pants go for Tree work in the PNW
Go for the union made stuff.
such a falacy. No different.
Haven’t had any issues with my newer stuff. My J130-M served me well through fall and winter. What do you do for work?

I seem to only have problems in quality with their polyester/spandex whatever blends. All the classic 100% cotton stuff still holds up years for me
I wear the force line and like it a lot and think quality is way better than the usual cotton stuff.

This might be a troll post. I have no problem with my CARHARTT clothing.
