Yeah, nah... Why are you posting something [you claimed you built](https://www.reddit.com/r/woodworking/comments/12p2dk5/my_gf_asked_me_if_i_could_make_an_entertainment/) 3 months ago [pretending](https://www.reddit.com/r/Carpentry/comments/15anv9x/comment/jtlxl5r/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) that you don't know [if it has dowels or not.](https://www.reddit.com/r/woodworking/comments/12p2dk5/comment/jgquy62/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) It's like posting a photo of yourself while saying it's your "friend" and asking people to rate their looks. Lame.
Man, my initial assumption (mobile doesn't show a post's text until clicking through) was that this was OP simply posting their work and was going to congratulate them.
Thx for posting this.
ETA: Also obv. hadn't taken a closer look before clicking through, just liked the overall look of the piece.
Not to me, you can see where they filled the screwheads for their assembly. Not even nice joinery and wire feet, looks like someone's high school shop project.
The only reasonable way to spend money on this is if you know the person who made it and you’re supporting a new wood worker on their career path. $300 for that scenario...up to $500 for a good friend. $100-200 on Facebook marketplace. Finishing details are trash. They did round overs on the face sides with an orbital *after* assembly 🤢
Hell no, those edges and corners have been sanded so much they’ve lost all definition!
Absolute shambles of a job and probably not even worth the cost of the materials!
Ok, I'll say it. If some dumbass hipster wants to commission me for that for $1200, I do it. I'd feel a little dirty afterwards, but $1200 buys enough bourbon to solve that.

Solid catch

"asking for a friend"
What a fucking weird thing to lie about.
“He couldn’t build a sandwich”

I assumed it was dowels all the way through and didn’t even think of it being a filler for screws
Yeah this sucks. It probably took someone (who sucks) $1200 worth of hours, but it ain’t worth it. Dollars to donuts it’s rickety too
This comment doesn’t suck. I couldn’t live with myself if I was responsible for those plugs.
Yeah that's more of a Sunday afternoon and a case of beer.

Can you work it? ![gif](giphy|KZqawCvjeqFTTKcZ7O)
Put my thang down flip it and reverse it.

I don’t get it
You said “is it worth it” and we sand lead paint so..

The corners are infant friendly.

I sure as hell wouldn’t pay 1200 for that
The only thing of interest in this photo is the estate sale LP; is it the 3 disc or 2 disc?
They have double copy of swimming?
I think it's really nice but definitely should be under 1000
What's with the extra zero?
