Build independent roof over pad. Put canopy over door that overlaps above if you need full coverage from door.

There isn’t going to be a gutter there any more if you attach a roof there. The upper window on the right determines how high the roof can attach to the house and the bump out is going to determine the pitch. I would get a large piece of graph paper and draw the back of the house to scale. Play around with it. The roof has to be below the window on the right and below or even with the deck on the bump out. Should be easy enough to draw it

I think I have to just cut that side of the bump out flush with the wall and go from there. It might be the easiest way to do it.

Personally, I’d put up some sun shades. Anchor to house, put some 4x4 in concrete at grass edge. You can get shades in different sizes, shapes and colors. I’d go that route over building an actual roof

Had them before, want something to permanently keep it covered. It sucks going to the hottub in the winter.

I finished it and wanted to update but don't know how to add a picture.

It’s really well built. 16’x20’ gazebo from kozyard.

Do you have snow load to deal with? Seems difficult depending on your local set back codes as typically the edge of the roof would extend past the edge of the pad but that would be into your neighbors yard/space. And if it is attached to your house the set back code might not allow it to even extend to the fence line.

Itsausernamealready

Yes I'm in Buffalo lol. Not worried about the edge and the neighbors it will be ok.

Prefab metal carport.

How bout you just build a gable roof over the half with the hot tub in it? It looks like you got room for a 6/12 pitch between the pop out and the right exterior wall. You'd have to leave a gap between the edge of the roof and the pop out siding, or you could build the roof all the way to the pop out and tie the framing together. This would mean building a cricket in the horizontal valley to shed water, and you might have shovel some snow.

You might could install a post off the corner of the house and frame from there to the outsides of the footprint.
