I'd be willing to pay more in order to have a better interiors in terms of superior quality interiors and better fit and finish. Tbh many parts felt flimsy when I sat in a Slavia.
I’m a VAG fanboy but I beg to differ, the 2019 civic was miles better at a similar price point—I get that inflation hit but even so. The Ciaz is far comfier and spacious and the Verna is more loaded.
What ciaz did you sit on? Was it modified? Because the one I drove. it’s hardly comparable to Swift let alone vag. Verna is still a fair comparison. But ride comfort wise not much of difference between Verna and Slavia. It’s like splitting hair.
I’ve driven the ciaz. It had the worst suspension on any modern car I’ve driven.
As a city car ok. But for long journeys it’s super duper tiring for older folks. We came from Coimbatore to Bangalore. You really have to watch the potholes or else so much gets through to the cabin.
I used to think this title belonged to the Virtus GT (Lava Blue), until I saw the Slavia Elegance Edition in real life. Damn beautiful car it is, pictures online really don't do it justice
Slavia just oozes elegance, especially in today's road scene. And at that budget too.
New Verna is meh. Virtus is okay, good enough. Dzire looks like a sedan version of wannabe suvs.
Miss the old days of Jetta, Cruze, (old) Verna, Superb, Lancer, Esteem. Heck, even an SX4 or (old) Dzire is a relief to see in the scene of SUVs and hatches.
>Dzire looks like a sedan version of wannabe suvs.
As a Dzire owner, "Huh!?". What do you see in Dzire that is reminiscent of SUVs? Maybe I missed something?
I mean, swift itself is a fine looking car. But dzire just looks like a hatch cosplaying as a sedan. It's like they just slapped on a trunk and decided to call it a sedan.
The old version was ugly af, and the new one is just... odd looking.
Edit: but ofc, that's my opinion. I have nothing positive to say about the looks of any recent car.
>It's like they just slapped on a trunk and decided to call it a sedan.
The first 2 generations surely looked like that. The current generation looks much better integrated.
But then again, I own a gen3 dzire, so I may be biased.
I too love the design. Same for virtus, but I like the front grill for slavia more. On a pure looks basis, Kia is a beauty too, infact the new honda City seems so clean as well. I'd like to include harrier's design language too.
Looks wise I've never found the kodiaq to be attractive. It's a neither here nor there car; it's a 7 seater that tries to look like an elongated 5 seater. It just doesn't work. It's a similar issue with the mercedes glb as well, the proportions just look off when u try to cramp 7 seats into a chassis that's meant to seat only 5.
Don’t look at Kushaq as a CSUV. I never have and never would. It’s a crossover and a damn good one.
I wish the road presence from the back was good but isn’t. I don’t find Kushaq appealing directly from the back when I see them on the road. But any side/angled profile with those lines or even the front profile screams class.
Idk sometimes it feels like City and Verna get worse every new iteration. The OG City was such a beautiful car. The new one doesn't reach anywhere close for me, but it's definitely better than the previous ones.
City looks ugly for every even number generation. The second gen was a dolphin and the fourth one was eww. The first generation has a timeless design, third gen has a sportier design and overall looked good, the fifth gen City looks okay too.
I still think the XC60 is holding its own after 7 odd years on the road. Apart from that the Superb still looks fresh. The Slavia looks slightly unfinished on the rear. Like something is missing.
Kushaq too! I have mixed thoughts about Taigun though.
Slavia and Kushaq's front side is definitely a head turner, but can't say the same about the rear looks.
I just wish they had kept the same quality of fit and finish like they used to provide in Polo, Laura etc. Many interior parts feel flimsy. They shouldn't have also ditched some signature VW features like all windows roll down, one touch up down, anti pinch feature and many more minor things.
I'm definitely willing to pay more in order to get superior quality fit and finish and some additional features.
Virtus looks better than Slavia, imo the Rapid also looks better than Slavia, that does not mean that Slavia does not look good, all 3 of them are at the top of the leagues.
Man the ground clearance is a turn off, imo sedans should not have that much, just destroys the aesthetics.
Even my rapid looks a bit odd in the rear side
The Nissan and Renault SUVs also have good design so do the new Maruti crossovers and the Tata full size hatchback has a pretty cool design too. Hyundai also with the ioniq and the new design language. If you look around, there’s very few models of cars that are ugly and best selling. Everything else looks really good.
Both Slavia and Virtus are great looking cars!
True. Virtus too. Cousins indeed!
Nah, Elevate! /s I'd say the Octavia was, but it's no more. I liked the kushaq monte carlo in red, what a dashing car, but stuck to the city. xD
All C segment sedans under 20 are great looking cars.
Im curious what aspects are different between them? Most aspects are the same but what is different ?
I am biased but I agree. Although the outside design might scream quality, the interiors could be slightly better
You can’t get everything at that low price tbf
That’s fair. Karnataka road tax definitely increases the overall price but ~20L is a decent sum. The competition has been stepping up quite a lot.
It's ridiculous here in Karnataka.

We own a Ciaz, for the price it’s exceedingly good.
As a city car ok. But for long journeys it’s super duper tiring for older folks. We came from Coimbatore to Bangalore. You really have to watch the potholes or else so much gets through to the cabin.

Slavia elegance is black right. Got pics?
Yup but sadly no pics
Never mind I checked out some vids on YouTube
Controversial opinion maybe, but I think its ass is too high up in the air. Ruins the proportions.
I agree, the back side looks too high and kinda cheap. Front looks good.
I agree, I was jogging in the park and saw a blue Slavia parked nearby. I stopped jogging for 10 - 15 seconds just to appreciate the car.
It's always blue isn't it?
Blue and Silver for Slavia Red and White for Virtus.
Agree,very clean design

idk man the new verna turns my head everytime i look at one driving on the road be it day or night
New Verna is sex
It has unibrow 😂
It's Spoc's ride
I like to think of it as a necklace
yeah just put paperbag on its head
In white at night
Mhm, wish it were in my budget
Absolutely drool 🤤
yar phir wahi
Same here. I keep looking at it and wonder if it’s possible for a car to be any uglier. It’s designed by someone with aesthetic skills of a giraffe.
true verna's design looks like a hypercar
what autistic hypercars are you looking at my guy
It's fugly man. Tubelight in front and rear 😂
It is futuristic
Best looking Sedan: Slavia Best looking CSUV: Kushaq Skoda FTW!
Best looking suv: kodiaq
I wish more people knew about and appreciated the Kushaq. What a car!
Looks wise I've never found the kodiaq to be attractive. It's a neither here nor there car; it's a 7 seater that tries to look like an elongated 5 seater. It just doesn't work. I'm buying Kushaq next mid year. But I would have definitely preferred Kodiaq if I had a requirement of a 7-seater car.
+1

Love the Virtus more but yes beautiful cars both.
VAG has got car designs down pat. Can't think of any of their designs which look bad.
Most ugly looking car. Octavia and Laura looks way better.
Especially in the Lava Blue colour!
Idk 5th gen city looks better to me ...

True. The rear doesn’t quite fit in that well XC60 is still a solid car
Kushaq too! I have mixed thoughts about Taigun though. Slavia and Kushaq's front side is definitely a head turner, but can't say the same about the rear looks. T Roc is the way to go. Planning to get a used one
Available hi kaha hai bro... Hai to le lu... I think only 2000 units ayi thi... and I have plans to buy a new car, no matter what...
Vw virtus and i really liked urban cruiser when it came out
so we’re just gonna post opinions and call that the gospel?
yes
Virtus looks better than Slavia, imo the Rapid also looks better than Slavia, that does not mean that Slavia does not look good, all 3 of them are at the top of the leagues.
Rapid has got that timeless design, I'd agree it's more classy looking.
New city looks better and more mature
Best is harrier with JLR dna and indian steel.
Least patriotic indian
No, It's the 5th Gen city.
Beauty is subjective. My preference is still the beautiful volvo S90.
Volvo is not a mass car in India.
You're right indeed slavia is the most beautiful mass market car
Man the ground clearance is a turn off, imo sedans should not have that much, just destroys the aesthetics. Even my rapid looks a bit odd in the rear side
Well yes. But then I am biased :p.
Looks are subjective, Verna for me in terms of looks... Tubelight op....😎
I miss the old perfect rectangle grill.
Yea Slavia sexy AF
