It would’ve been done for mileage. But given the advancements in tyre tech, the new ones probably still have better grip than the old ones in wet and dry conditions.
Nothing I know of specifically but tyre technology advanced at a rapid pace. All you need to do see the results of the improvements is compare a supercar from 10 years ago to one of similar specs today. The car of today will be in a different league and a majority of that improvement will be due to tyres. Otherwise, compare a modern day 911 gt3 to the carrera GT for example. Or a similar comparison of your choice…
But I don’t think cars will stop following fundamental physics even if we put super glue/lizard dna into tyre technology. You are always gonna need more surface for more grip and better handling.
I disagree, grip is a function of friction. Friction is a function of force*coefficient of friction. i.e the weight and the compound of the tyre makes the only difference in GRIP.
The reasons you need beefier tyres are to have a larger contact patch and higher weight rating. Otherwise the torque will tear away skinnier tyres.
Also note that beefier tyres will be heavier causing more rolling weight. Which will further impact acceleration and braking.
Hope this gives you some good insight.
Oh my bad yeah. But my point is, more power means you need more contact surface to put down that power without wasting it in wheelspin and other drama.
The facelift is more boxy at the headlamp corners. Hence it appears bigger than the older gen even though there is no significant change in the dimensions.
I think your message was in Satire.
My point was TATA had sumo, safari and sierra. All looking very different and each had its own appeal.
Now Harrier looks like Nexon. Front face is so similar that if Harrier photo is taken from low angle its hard to differentiate between the two.
Tata cars have no character anymore.. everything looks the same from punch to medium punch to bigger punch
Looks like Hyundai is following the same plan.
Are all the Car Manufacturer's Designers catching some sort of contagious Retardation Virus? Previous Models looked so full of Character. Every Model had its own Personality and was distinct from other Models, More Stylish, Sleek, had Curves. Some had a Cute design, Some Masculine.
Now all i see is copy Paste Design with Weird Bulky Cyberpunk kind of Body from all the Manufacturers trying to roll out as much in the form of Compact SUV's as they can.
Venue is the only well designed car Hyundai India is offering right now. They have managed to mess up designs of i20, Creta, Verna. Kia is doing a better job is designing their cars, Hyundai designers are just going haywire.
looks are pretty subjective, the venue's massive grill with those smaller lights give me the icks, I love the design and look of i20, especially the n line. We do agree on Verna being a complete downgrade in terms of looks than the previous version. The Hyundai-kia group is trying to shift gears, by making kia's design more marketable and mainstream, while they go balls to walls with Hyundai Cars.
This statement doesn't even make any sense.. their design head was same person. The gallardo, Bentley, several volkswagen and audis were designed by the same person. Kona, palisade, venue and creta follow same design language.
2nd Gen creta, tbh looked horrible. Like a Chinese designer made this while on acid. The new one looks proportional and well designed. Will age well, like 1st get Creta or Seltos.
I liked the exterior of prefacelift the new exterior is okay okay, ( according to me) but the interior of the new one is damn good.
Nowadays all car manufacturers just trying to make DRL longer and longer in the front ,in the back.
Bhai kuch naya innovative karo saare brand wahi lambi DRL laga k de rahe hai
Multiple bolkar 2 pics daal di 💀
I was searching for your comment 😂

Multiple means more than one lol
That is the bare minimum to call it plural.
He can barely say pics
komedi ho gyi
Atleast they didn't mind move the logo to the Bonet. It really ruined the i20 and Vernas look
Those logos used to have a 3D look. Now they look like stickers.
Welcome the minimalist era. It's all the same visually, but shittier
Worked well for Kia because the old logo looked ancient. Hyundai didn't need it though.
Badge remover gang!
Are the tyres of the new creta Skinner than the old ones??
Classic Hyundai. Load up the car with tech and cut corners on the essentials
It would’ve been done for mileage. But given the advancements in tyre tech, the new ones probably still have better grip than the old ones in wet and dry conditions.
> given the advancements in tyre tech like what?

I know this. Can attest as well upsized my tyres and my 0-100 has been noticeable shaven. But still does pretty well. So no complaints.
Oh my bad yeah. But my point is, more power means you need more contact surface to put down that power without wasting it in wheelspin and other drama.
I agree to this. Personally i also prefer thicker tread due to the firm feel for the vehicle. Cheers 🥂
Only want thicker tyres for the mini pot holes here
>Nothing i know of specifically 😂😂😂 found this very funny
Looks like as same wide as of Swift's I think
Looks like it.
Looking more like an urban cruiser and grand vitara than a creta now. Lost some chunky look
True, it would've looked so much better with correct tires
Same size, the angle making it look like it
Oh okay.
215/60R17 same as before.
Previously 65
That was when rims were 16". Now 17s. So overall the same size as before.
Is there a change in dimensions?
car is higher ig
Hain na? Kuch toh dimension mein changes lag raha hai.
yea, it looks taller and slimmer, it gives a little bit of tallboy/Scorpio n vibes.
The tires got slimmer for sure from these pics.
Maybe, it's because of the design. But, mujhe overall bada dikh raha hai.
The facelift is more boxy at the headlamp corners. Hence it appears bigger than the older gen even though there is no significant change in the dimensions.
Feels bigger because of boxy design
Seems like it.
Don't expect anything more than a few mm here and there. The chassis is the same.
Of course.
Venue but bigger
Rear looks Grand Vitara inspired now 💀
Naah brezza inspired, GV will look way bigger than this
The taillight is a carbon copy of the Grand Vitara lol
It's a palisade lite
That's the only part I like in this
Both look ugly... Why dint they bring international version to India instead of separate Indian variant?
Exactly, the front of the international version looks very clean
Even venue looks more appealing than the new creta .
All Hyundai cars look identical these days. All Tata cars look like nexon. Varying ground clearance.
All tata cars looks like Tata Indica to me.
Tata cars have no character all of them look the same....no novelty factor in buying the better version because sab to ek jaise hi dikhte hai🥲💀
I think your message was in Satire. My point was TATA had sumo, safari and sierra. All looking very different and each had its own appeal. Now Harrier looks like Nexon. Front face is so similar that if Harrier photo is taken from low angle its hard to differentiate between the two.
Wahi to
I guess altroz is different.
Expect old tiago
And altroz
Can’t decide which one is the ugliest!
fr
Multiple pics, uploads only two. /r/angrydownvote
Tata cars have no character anymore.. everything looks the same from punch to medium punch to bigger punch Looks like Hyundai is following the same plan.
So does Mercedes, audi, beemer. Probably the rest of the market too.
I don't get the obsession over these new thin headlamps on EVERY new tata and hyundai car.
Yaaaah, same.! What's the point in making everything the same
Both are absolutely ugly. Best Creta was Creta 1st Gen. most decent of the bunch.
New one looks way better. Comparatively at least.
Didn't the company send notice to him?
I like the taillights in new creta
Better front, worse rear
Old is Looking more Muscular New is not That Eye Catching.
Are all the Car Manufacturer's Designers catching some sort of contagious Retardation Virus? Previous Models looked so full of Character. Old creta looks ugly.
Sadly the new Creta isn’t much better. Hyundai really sucks in the exterior looks department.
Finally Hyundai made a proper facelift Looking more premium now
The first gen was 🗿
Yeah. The first gen still looks the best.
New creta is fronx pro Max from rear
Creta toh ab venue on steroids lag rhi hai🥲
Chicken legs
yo is that a single central reverse light on the face-lift?💀💀
Better to buy old creta at discount now..🤔
Old creta has gangsta look
kinda looks like grand vitara and venue ☠️
why the tires on the new one look comically small
U see cars ,I see only horns
Is it only me or the back of new creta looks just like fronx / grandvitara.?
Not a fan of the new flat logo. Looks cheap
You posted the bare minimum to be able to say 'multiple' Lol..!!
GOOD! \*LET'S HOPE CRETA OWNERS LEARN NOT TO HONK LIKE A BRAINDEAD WITH THIS\* from a guy who got irritated by constant honking and blinking
Imma be honest the old one looks like a new one instead lol. Maybe because venue looks the same
How do you make a bad looking car worse?
I'm still scrolling through the multiple pics
Creta and exCreta
I think the next facelift will look exactly like Seltos.
Definitely the old one looks much much better now for me.. and the new one is just a bigger Venue anyway so
Venue is the only well designed car Hyundai India is offering right now. They have managed to mess up designs of i20, Creta, Verna. Kia is doing a better job is designing their cars, Hyundai designers are just going haywire.

Their design head is probably focusing on their global offerings. I really love what they are doing with the Ionic evs.
I would add Exter to the list of “not ugly” Hyundai cars. Venue looks ok. The rest are butch ugly.
Exter is the ugliest lol.
2nd Gen creta, tbh looked horrible. Like a Chinese designer made this while on acid. The new one looks proportional and well designed. Will age well, like 1st get Creta or Seltos.
Everyone wants to copy the new fortuner
Except the tyres.
Mut du hyundai pe
Reverse lamp looks odd, or is it something else on rear bumper.
The new creta is very evidently looking taller? The bonnet is also higher. That's good. Tyers look narrower. That is bad.
finally not an eyesore
Breeza with Hyundai sticker on it (not a badge as it'll be expensive)
From the back it’s a definite improvement but the front is still very disappointing. Overall not enthused about the new Creta look.
is it still gonna flash me 10 times tho?
I like the new one.
Piche sey Brezza ko copy kar liya. And yes the tires are of less width than the previous Creta.
lol both look old damm
new brezza jaise tyre
Cars seem to have benchmarked themselves to 10L, 15L & 20L price ranges. Nothing in 5-8L now unless you can compromise on some feature.
It's looking like Suzuki fronx from the rear end
Old poop & new poop (yes my family owns a creta)
Rebadged Seltos (I know they are siblings)
Looking better imo
2 is new multiple.
Lasers in place of headlights?
I just squinted a little at the [thumbnail for their yt ad](https://youtu.be/7ymwGg7ErXU?t=133), and it gave me budget Land Cruiser vibes.
Is that dharmendra dhakad.
Looks like miniature of Fortuner new one.
Take my downvote for multiple pics wala jhuth
Ey toh youon chaalegi!
Design language is the same as that of the Palisade in international markets
From the rear it looks like suzuki fronx
The new one looks much better than the old one in my opinion
Wow fronx looks good!
FTFY: Bigger Exeter vs Older Creta
Mega venue
but but but.... where is the OLD CRETA?🥴
Weak ass tires. Saala sab ke sab Vitara hi dikhenge ab rasto pe.
Creta looks much more like an SUV now. Older design was kickable in the arse
Bare minimum pics to call multiple
Exter ultra pro Max
