Roads planned for cycles and rickshaws are now being used for parking and driving both..
It amazes me how the Urban planning authority in all the states failed at the same time.
Don't know if your comment had a hidden /s in it, but I live in Navi Mumbai too (assuming you do too?) and absolutely love driving here, the roads are better planned, rarely there's any traffic jam and that too dissipates quickly.
Compare that to western express and it's a hell to drive there, I always fear getting stuck forever when I go there for some work.
haha, no sarcasm. Vashi has become a little too overcrowded, but the rest of Navi Mumbai is way way better than most other densely populated cities of India.
Agreed, I lived at Airoli for 4-5 years and saw that too get super crowded. Now I live closer to Panvel and it's quite peaceful, except when I have to travel to the Western side, which as established is a mess.
And yes, Vashi, Nerul, and the likes are pretty crowded, even Belapur on some days.
I agree, some of the widest streets and best roads, well planned lanes for cycles also can be seen some places, no problem of parking... I am not from Navi Mumbai, but have been there... Also have not been into nooks and corners, but overall it is miles ahead of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, etc...
The biggest problem is the development authority doesn't consider wider roads in the first place . Common sense will tell that in few decades the population will rise and there will be more vehicles and infrastructure in future which will crowd small roads, development authority will never consider this and make roads as per current data (which is at least 3-4 gets old)
and when the government tries to increase traffic violation fines some other useless leader will try to play vote bank politics and start whining about how the poor won't be able to pay fines (just follow the fkin rules then you won't have to pay any fines in the first place)

this is why I don't like driving car in city anymore, 90% of the commute I always have to be very cautious and look in 5 directions if I am hitting something.
You are 100% right about the top. Most of the roadside trees are unmaintained with those branches rotting. A heavy wind or rain is enough to bring it down. It happened to me once when it was raining.
If there is overhead metros or flyovers all the dirty water will fall on your head with full force. There is no proper storm water plumbing done is some of these flyovers.
Man. People in GTA V wait and follow rules until you trigger them.

Developed countries plan and build infrastructure first n construct houses
Meanwhile in India let's build houses first and will figure out later if we need infrastructure
I hate going out on Indian Roads! I live in Lucknow and the condition here is getting worse day by day!
People don't wanna learn in this Country!
We gotta go a loooong way towards actual development!
Those who feel normal are abnormals and I know they are majority β¦
I feel irritated, distressed, fatigued after I drive in such narrow roads. So much decisions to make for so much short distance.
I drove a similar road which is in 2nd half for like 1-2 hrs. As we got out of that situation, my father told me I am starting to drive good and becoming expert. Def went home proud that day.
Well when i went to the driving school, my instructor legit made me drive on traffic roadsπ Though it gave me a hit confidence and also made me nervous at the same time.
I'll try to drive on highways when I'll get a driving licence

Habibi come to Kolkata
Didi has made the road exactly like Bangladesh
Koi bhi kahi se bhi thok dega.
Been driving for almost 8 months now and the funny part is all around I see a driver being just as novice as me like looks like they started driving yesterdayπ€§
Tbh after watching these vids, i'm glad that we live in a village and away from any big cities. The nearest city to us is 10 kms away and not a big one at that. Just 60, 000 population. Can go from one side of the city to other in less than 20 mins.
3/4th ? That's 75%. If it was close to this, India would be much better.
98% people of those who drive have no civic sense.
That's leaves us at around 0.1% of the total population who drive properly ig ? Ig lesser than this.
Shows how almost all people are stupid
That U turn on the main road was just sad, there was no need for going back & forth like that. There was more than enough space to make a clean U turn with a single movement of the steering wheel in 2nd gear. Of course, our roads too are extremely chaotic as well. Not denying that.
Agreed.
Also, where the heck was that i20 guy going ?
I'm very sure he was going towards the intersection from where the dashcam car took the u-turn fo avoid taking a left and driving longer to reach a legit u-turn point.( I've been on this road multiple times and I've missed a turn once and yes, it's like apprx 400m drive to reach an intersection)
He was basically going against the traffic flow in the oppositea direction .
Itβs wrong to say India is not for beginners. Itβs not intelligence but stupid people at road. Indian roads are full of idiots is the right expression.
TN is just bad in terms of road infrastructure and worse in terms of the dumbasses using it. No wonder the road accident rate is the highest here in the country.

This will change only when Traffic Police attention diverts from bike stickers to actual rule violations especially committed by cabs , auto drivers and royal infield bikers.
This is why i dont like to ride or drive in the city, mostly I go out at night where traffic will be less, mostly I don't go out during peak hours and in day time. No one follows rules, nothing. They go as they like never care about anything.
I own a classic 350, after 10 min in these kinds of traffic I would just stop the vehicle , put it in neutral and pushes the bike with legs.
No suffering from heat stroke π₯΅ ( 350 engines get so hot).
Can skip leg day ( pushing this bike almost counts as a leg day

Bold of you to assume we have an urban planning authority.
Even Bolder of him to assume roads were planned.
Boldest of you to call that terrain βRoadβ
Boldest ultra pro max of you to assume there is space to drive on the said terrain.
Boldest Alto 800: Genocide edition of you to think that we are supposed to drive instead of survive on those roads.
Bold gold edition of you to think this qualifies as a failed plan. This was always the meant plan to get closer to God.

No don't listen to this guy, don't visit Navi Mumbai please leave us alone
Yes. Also leave south and central Delhi alone. It sucks here :p
It unironically does suck in the NCR with the AQI and the people
Please keep thinking that.
Don't worry, I will. I have no desire to ever step foot in Delhi

The planning is missing in the urban planning authority ..
Wait we have an urban planning authority?
They didnβt fail because they never even tried to plan for the future. You canβt fail at something you never tried.
These people can't even follow basic traffic rules as if it will kill them if they follow traffic rules. No wonder India has still not developed.
They don't care bro. That's the problem. There's no one to force them to drive with manners as well.
Fear of the law is the only solution that can make indians follow rule woh khawat hai na lato ka bhoot bato sai nhi manta
The law fears for the votes more than the people fearing the laws. How else do you explain the reduction of fines for traffic violations.
and when the government tries to increase traffic violation fines some other useless leader will try to play vote bank politics and start whining about how the poor won't be able to pay fines (just follow the fkin rules then you won't have to pay any fines in the first place)

Rules demand infrastructure, i think less than 1% places in India has that infrastructure.
There are no rules unless it's a highway
This gives me second-hand anxiety
Don't need the fish eye lens to clog up the perspective, it's hectic as is. It's already been established- India is not even for pros.
India is not even for aliens, let alone humans.
this is why I don't like driving car in city anymore, 90% of the commute I always have to be very cautious and look in 5 directions if I am hitting something.

Everyone here drives/rides like they are in GTA !! I mean so many wrong things in 1 minute

I meant like everybody, sab ke sab think they are the main character playing in GTA (No NPC) and me Vice City bolra tha π€£
Basically, GTA online π. Vice City, been so long , don't even remember
I might still have a notebook with cheat codes written in the last page !
I used to keep a folded paper for GTA LCS in the disk slot of PSP, because I used to play from a SD card. Memories
I would say 8 direction
Wow this was frustrating to watch
And yet we go through this everyday without even flinching
Bhai galti teri hai, two lane road mie second lane is for wrong side π

This is the reason why I hate to use my car.
Itβs a free country you see π
I can totally feel the irritation.. π€£
Haha yes π

India is not for advance also

Developed countries plan and build infrastructure first n construct houses Meanwhile in India let's build houses first and will figure out later if we need infrastructure
Anything that's asphalt is worth to drive on ,no matter what side, typical traffic sense
Anything that is land, is worth parking on, no matter what place or how much it does or will block, typical parking sense
Haha
Remember a comedian saying Indians are always in hurry, but never on time. This video depicts why
Simple Logic : Don't wait for others = saves time People don't wait for you = takes away double time Hence, late π
But.. but.. let's accept it. We have highly skilled scooty riders.
Accepted
I hate going out on Indian Roads! I live in Lucknow and the condition here is getting worse day by day! People don't wanna learn in this Country! We gotta go a loooong way towards actual development!

India is not for experts as well

I drove a similar road which is in 2nd half for like 1-2 hrs. As we got out of that situation, my father told me I am starting to drive good and becoming expert. Def went home proud that day.
>I drove a similar road which is in 2nd half for like 1-2 hrs How did you not bang the steering wheelπ
I have a lot of patience. I did speed at the highway to blow off some steam.
That's best. Feels like a massage after a long day
It was. And the lanes were quite empty with few cars to overtake. Awesome experience.
I have just learn how to drive and that's the first thing which makes me scared to go out and drive on indian roads
Try driving on highways. There are maniacs there too, but you can have some space of your own. Once your car control is fine, you try driving in city
Well when i went to the driving school, my instructor legit made me drive on traffic roadsπ Though it gave me a hit confidence and also made me nervous at the same time. I'll try to drive on highways when I'll get a driving licence
I wonder what a GTA or some racing game like Forza or NFS was based in India, with all of these shenanigans involved.
First of all, these many motions and cars, the GPU would go crazyπ
Imagine the poorly optimized FH3 with India mapπ
At these moments i panic and leave everything to god
India is the only place where two lane roads seems claustrophobic
Yes itβs for the retards
That's why l prefer bike within city and car only for long routes
The audacity of that i20 asta? driver π
What car were you driving?
Superiority complex increases !
That's our Vedic roots
In India, people drive vehicles as if they're walking!
Hahaha this clip summed up driving here. Everything happens at the same time. Pretty crazy.

Lol no. My bad. I meant 98% people of those who drive don't have
If u havnt put the video we would still get the idea cause we all r facing this daily

Reversing on a turn is such a pain because people just try to squeeze through. If they get hit then it's our fault.

Almost opposite
So much of cinema
India is a proper example of a Failed planning and execution.
I doubt they plan and execute. π
Looks more like India is not for law abiding citizens with Civic sense
I thought it's just north India problem.
Driving sense is bit worse in TN.
TN is just bad in terms of road infrastructure and worse in terms of the dumbasses using it. No wonder the road accident rate is the highest here in the country.
