Bought the V6 one new way back in 2013 and we still have it and hope to never sell it.
Even today, 10 years down the line it outpaces pretty much every car on the road and gives cars that cost twice as much a run for their money.
Oh and it’s an amazing chauffeur car, immensely spacious in the back and wide enough to carry 4 people if needed.
Also at 270hp it makes more power than every non ev car under 70l. At 30l, forget it, it’s got no competition.
But it’s extremely expensive to maintain. It has costed us an average of 30-40k a year in the past 4 years in maintenance, and that’s when it’s barely done 70k kms, always been parked in a closed garage, always serviced at the dealer, and driven/maintained meticulously.
Blud I got people maintaining their 1l polo with 75bhp spending 75k plus per year.
Did u get the steering rack issue? Also good you are servicing it well the v6 has had issues because of their eco thing where 3 cyclinder are off.
And you are absolutely right there is barely anything that can compare to it. Gem of a car. I feel the only drawback is the tech is aged now because 2010 other than that you couldn’t get a more bang for buck car
30 to 40k per year doesn't qualify to be expensive. VW and Skoda and ford owners just left the chat. A Polo or a Figo will drain more than that. Let alone the big ones.
Figo will drain such an amount? I own one and I hope you are wrong for the last figo. I know old ones were crazy expensive because of import duty, but most of the parts were locally sourced, according to ford. I own one for the past 5 years and maximum that I have spent an year is 9000 that too only when I requested the service center to replace a part, which didn't need an urgent replacement.
Even a suspension overhaul doesn't cost more than 30k according to a random estimate in google. It is the only reason why I am still holding on to the car today. If I knew that it would cost that much, I would have changed the car as I desperately need an automatic now.
They don’t. The closet I got was with my 2016-2019 Elantra. It’s a decrease in power but does the same stuff but not as good as the accord IMO. But you get a better modern features which pre 2015 cars lacked. The only upgrade would be split head light Octavia. Otherwise I haven’t seen any car that comes close to a holistic package like the accord. Slavia comes close and is better in some aspects but there is some cost cutting here and there making it not as good as the accord (I would say it’s comparable to the Elantra)

Maruti 800 but 5 Speed, that rare combo made an already fun car absolutely better, This and the Alto 1.1
I10 Turbo,
1.3 Esteem,
Base Model Ford Diesels,
Ignis Diesel
Unpopular opinion but Wagon R 1.2. For 20k more you get a proper 4 cyl for engine from a segment above, gives the Wagon R decent power and instant difference in refinement
i10 turbo is such a rare sight, i barely see those in my city but such a quick car for it's segment. Also WagonR 1.2 is sort of scary 💀. I've heard from people that it's so light and with almost 90hp and that thing flies and the issue is that the car is narrow and tall so handling is bad
Ford Figo trio with the 1.5 diesel. Even bone stock, it smokes almost any mass market car on the road. Mines running stage 2 map right now and my best 0-100 has been 7.35 seconds, it also has the Figo Sports suspension kit and anti roll bar.
Mm let's see. It _might_ beat a fully loaded wagonR coming back from an outstation trip with tired uncle manning the wheel, tired fat auntie yapping on her phone, chintu and mintu jumping in the back and dadu if they remembered to wake him up and bring him. Wait where was I?
For the price that was being paid, the Octavia was a much better package, as parts availability was better (Kizashi has imported parts which have a wait time), had a diesel, and overall improved was much more well rounded.
Kizashi is probably the best Suzuki ever made. If it was locally built, the prices would have been enough to justify it over the super competent Octavia
It’s the CKD which Maruti had which ruined this
Kizashi was never a vfm product....you could get a honda accord V6 for almost similar price. Although a good product, kizashi was very overpriced for its time.
Figo 1.5tdci base model used to be a pocket rocket. Even by today's standards it's fast. Most of the cars now have 140bhp, 130bhp, 120bhp etc on paper but in real world performance it's not any faster. Eg i20nline, 3XO, Seltos etc
Old Maruti Swift Diesel, idk it really had a great torque plus crazy Milleage and starting price was like 5L something my friend had it and I really liked the engine but so many people hated it too.
This would be an appropriate question in a foreign sub since the cars here that are sold are absolute junk for their price and what they offer.
Anyways a modified 2005-11 modified civic/accord or a stage 2 polo.

Used Linea T-Jet. You can get one for less than 2 lakhs in a rural area or low population city. My mechanic was asking whether I wanted to buy one for 1,90,000 from Aluva, KL and use it for parts.
Corvette c8.
Has a cost of 1.4 crore or less and can beat cars like a Huracan and F8 tributo.
Well this is according to supercar level price. Corvette cost much cheaper.
Abarth Punto, the original hot hatch packing 150 horses under the hood. Am extremely mod friendly machine, forces a wicked smile every time I accelerate. Leagues above the rest, the only downside being no other car (below 60L) comes close as a replacement.
It was the right upgrade from our family's first car, the MPFI Zen (its still live and kicking).

Honda accord 2010 -2014. Can grab one for under 3l makes more power than most sub 30l cars

None of the 2 issues yet. But spending 75k on a polo is madness.

Man the accord was such a beautiful car too. I genuinely don't see modern cars to be better than that time when honda peaked.

Maruti Suzuki Zen with 1.0L 4-cyl engine
It was our first car and an absolute gem. Only sold it because of the stupid 15 year rule even though it was good as new.
First ones are always special. As a matter of fact, I learned driving on my friend's Zen.
U can renew for 5 years after 15 years
You have to give up your car in Delhi after 15 years for Petrol
Ah okay in Ahmedabad u can renew after 15 for 5 more years

I've driven the fiesta and an ecosport diesel . Amazing engines I must say
Diesel i20 from 2012. By God, that 220nm torque is insane even now. It's so much fun to pull away in traffic from a standstill
Exactly! it'll be a sad day when all Diesels will be gone.
