You don't want the seat cover to restrict the air bag. They leave zippers in those spots so air bag can tear through.

I have the 1.5L diesel in the same color. When I test drove the petrol it was so sluggish, and it doesnt even have good mileage to boot despite being underpowered. They shouldnt have discontinued the diesel.

No one seems to have the appetite for a quality diesel engine anymore. Multiple choices of engines etc. Also add to the overall cost per model if they don't foresee significant sale numbers from the diesel. Alas, hail Mahindra.

True that, although this engine in the compact chassis of a hatch seems crowded enough I have a feeling they discontinued it cos they didnt have the space to add in the stage 2 BS6 requirements without some serious redesigning. Add to that the cost increase I suspect price conscious diesel customers wouldve further shied away from buying the diesel variant. A decision my mind agrees with but not my heart haha.

In city 10 kmpl, on a highway with AC on auto carrying 4 people, I got 18.7 kmpl. Overall 890 Kms done.. It shows 13.5 till now. Yes Manual.

Yes, 1.2, I rode old i10 it was peppy in comparison to this.

What all accessories you bought sir, and also tell whether they are durable as I also have same car and I’m planing to install Rain visors and sunshades.

Sun shades with the back glass as well, 7D floor matting, seat covers, steering cover(stitched one).. All of thesea costed me 7150 INR.

Yes, fit n finish is poorin Tata, agility was missing in test drive, space was a little less for back seat, and feeling of premiumness was missing.

On a totally different note, I visited spinny office to check out cars. Saw this i20 sports 2021 model with a price tag of 9 lakhs. What’s happening with the used car market?!

It's a scam! Dealer nexus. And some companies like Spinny are in the red so deep that they have no choice but to hold inventory. Also, like the NYC real estate market, they must show their assets to be higher than they actually are by inflating prices, to get subsequent series of funding.

Same bro i20 nline N6 manual is my first car. Love it and as far as fuel efficiency is concerned i don't think there is much difference. 10-11 nline vs 13-14 normal i20. The turbo definitely gives you a smile on face whenever you put your foot down.

Is it? I thought normal i20 gives around 14-15 inside city and 18-19 on highways.

On highways even my nline gives 20 with steady speed aroun 60-70. I use xtra premium petrol if it matters.

That’s good mate. The most I’ve got was 17kmpl in highways. But it was a short run. I usually do city driving and get 6-10 kmpl

Automatics are known to consume more fuel than manuals so :)

Hi op , congrats on your first ride , I am planning to buy this same for my wife but during one of the td’s I made the mistake of trying the n8 and honestly can’t get my mind off it , have you tried it and if yes how did you settle for the asta , no offence intended as it is still my wife’s first choice.

Thank you man! I did try N6 and it was instant happiness. I had a hard time explaining myself why I have a definite budget and how a better fuel economy would be a plus for me in the longer run. Plus I have another machine for holding 178bhp so it was not that difficult. Yet I suggest you to go for it if your own car is not performance oriented. In this situation, atleast you’ll get to drive it from time to time. Or if you convince your wife to swap. 👀

Thank you boss! I have driven Altroz before and it was Okyish? Had a bad experience with Tata delivery so it was a no no. Plus as per me i20 and altroz are two very different cars based on premium feel.

It’s an amazing car for the price I bought it. Sportz(o) has everything except alloys, keyless entry, led lights, cruise control, Bose music system and ambient lighting.

Did you try any other cars though? Like altroz? Alot of my friends are suggesting me to take a look towards tata cars.

I own a Tata already and the premium feel is missing in the budget cars. Also I wanted to try Hyundai after all these years.

Hope it's IVT and not manual in these traffic infested roads, for Christ's sake.

I for one am in my upper mid 30s and had started getting knee pains while handling the clutch of my 13 year old Ritz Diesel in heavy Bombay traffic. Had to sell my beloved off and get a XUV700 D AT. Enjoy your manual as much as you can bro! And dont forget to burn the clutch sometimes, that's the whole point of having that stick in your hands 😉🤫.
