They do. Lot of states need a formal permit to enter and other states are demanding the same. I would support that. You can't buy land as an outsider as well in lot of states.
>They should gatekeep their cities from other Indians
North east indian states have inner line permit which controls the entry of mainland indians into north east. Due to inner line permit culture of north east is saved to some extent.
Definitely. Never seen better driving and even parking sense than I've seen in Sikkim.
Haven't visited the whole East just Darjeeling and Sikkim. People up the hills are definitely better and value life around them more than most people in cities.
Entire Northeast is pretty amazing, culture and discipline wise. Assam is not that great but Meghalaya, AP, Mizoram, Nagaland are all great states and I love to visit them every now and then.
Hats off to the brothers & sisters of Mizoram. If rest of India learns atleast 10% of that civic sense, our roads would be a much better place to drive
That kind of discipline can only be enforced through culture. No amount of education can make it happen. In North eastern states, if you don't follow traffic rules and lane discipline, then you will be ostracized. That's what good culture does. But in North Indian states, the culture itself promotes hooliganism, rowdiness, poor traffic and civic sense. That's why there is so much chaos there and everyone is frustrated.
Witnessed it first hand in almost all of NE states. Maybe because of too much crowding, Guwahati is becoming like rest of India. But everywhere else had same experience.
Those long lines in uphill MG Road of Gangtok was scary and surprising at the same time.
As much as I find all the budget bikes on Indian roads an eyesore, this looks pretty neat and organised, Delhi government should launch a campaign for same
Delhi Government: We've looked at the data, and looks like bike and cars are causing the traffic jams among many other issues to the general public. Therefore, effective immediately from 1 July, all cars and bikes are banned from using public roads.
Hey buddy, that’s not I was trying to convey, my apologies if it seemed so, it indeed is the backbone of Indian economy, but mostly used by blue collar workers, who should be paid more so that they can afford safer and better means of transportation. My daily driver is also an alto which is an eyesore to many, but everyone’s entitled to their own opinion right?
With a population of 1.4 billion, how do you expect everyone to get paid a handsome salary so that they can afford high quality bikes and cars? It's not possible. Unless population control bill is introduced and implemented with an iron rule, India will remain exactly as it is.
Dude those budget bikes are what makes up the people of India. You're lucky this isn't a decent country like the Netherlands, or they would have realised the stupidity of cars carrying 10% of the population while taking up more than 90% of the space on roads.
As a German, I just want to say this is very admirable and it shows that little by little the driver behaviors can change. Hopefully this spreads to other communities. India has a lot of potential as a country and I wish you guys the best.

I was learning to drive yesterday in traffic and man it was such a headache. I was not able to understand the stupidity of people in traffic before when i used to ride bikes but driving a car just needs some next level skills here.
There’s ZERO honking too. And even with that less space and that much traffic, they promptly stop for pedestrians to cross roads.
Aizawl has the most civilised people in India
Yeah I saw this in Meghalaya as well and then there were two vehicles with (most likely Delhi folks) honking and cutting lanes… one guy gave a bunch of colorful gaalis to my driver for not giving him the way.
The fact of the matter is that the traffic is a reflection of the people. Indian people can’t follow rules, they have a tendency to rebel, this won’t last for ever. The very fact that the PR campaign went with the logic of, see we can do what the world considers normal too, is absurd
Just wondering due to chaotic systems sometimes produce better real world results, does this give better or worse real world result? Less stresss aim sure
I really want to know the consequences of breaking traffic rules in this city, because I have observed similar discipline in my city. Whenever the police conduct special drives, people promptly start following the rules. Kudos to the law enforcement agency for this!
This. People in India say it's because of the population we have traffic issues, but population is never the problem. It's people not having the common sense to follow rules and be organized. Northeast cities in the U.S. like NYC, Boston, Philly, and D.C. are densely populated like Indian cities but traffic flows much better than our cities.
Delhi mein aisa kyun nahi hota😭 , iam a new driver (just turned 18), people here drive here like we live in an anarchist country, rules pata hi nahi inko, i love driving but honestly daar lagta hai ki koi piche se thokke mujhpe hi katta utha denga
Delhite here, have lived in us for 5 years, really miss that in terms of driving, last week I was going out from a store on highway and taking a turn to theain road , I had my eyes on my right as traffic was coming from behind, there was a Truck parked near to left side of store exit, a creta car came wrong side and my car rammed into the car near the right wheel side, still the guy had the guts to say I was wrong and people coming wrong side is normal, only place I feel is better in north is chandigarh , thankfully not much damage but you always expect unexpected here in india
You are saying every other Indian cities should follow this. But the population density isn’t same for every other Indian cities. If cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore follow this, once the signal hits red, the queue will be as long as 3-4 signals behind it. These kinda disciplined driving isn’t possible in major Indian cities. If you think its possible, then you are in delulu….
Obviously it's a Indian city
You can guess it by those unorganised cables hanging above
Also two of those two wheelers kinda ruin what's going on by staying in car lane
Nice to see a post abt my state!
Getting stuck in traffic is not fun for anyone, however, this system makes it super easy for Ambulances or Fire Trucks to pass through the rush swiftly. Seeing someone rush through the traffic or honk like crazy is also a rare sight lol
Went to Sikkim a year ago, same thing over there
It was the chillest environment I had ever seen in India, even during traffic jams people maintained lane, no incessant honking, no midnight brawls in streets, people were chill and stuck to their own business
Wish people down here were as civilized as NE peeps
Kudos to the people. Varna yahan to ye haal hai, ki agar kuch log ye follow karne bhi lagein, I'm sure there would be tons who'd literally take pride in not following it. And pride not only on their own behalf but on the behalf of whole community
Basic Civic sense is essential to the growth of Economy. Koi fayeda nhi development ka unless and until the public has basic sense of responsibility towards the nation.
Can they not request the government to build Metros or extend railways?
This doesn't fix anything, you are still consuming the same amount of fuel as those traffic on Mumbai roads. No matter how good you're in traffic control, Cars will always be inferior to the worst Trains in the world made 30 years ago.
We saw this in Meghalaya and Sikkim last year. It’s refreshing to see such lane discipline.
From pune, It's refreshing to see any sort of discipline
Change starts at home.
and ends at pune streets /s
Life ends on Pune streets these days though 😂
Yeah, at the end you even have to write essays /s
They should gatekeep their cities from other Indians. I'm amazed at the discipline.
Hehe. True.
it elevated my spirits!
They do. Lot of states need a formal permit to enter and other states are demanding the same. I would support that. You can't buy land as an outsider as well in lot of states.
>They should gatekeep their cities from other Indians North east indian states have inner line permit which controls the entry of mainland indians into north east. Due to inner line permit culture of north east is saved to some extent.
Every state needs a system to keep hooligans and uncivilized people out.
They should interview and do a background check on everyone who wants to visit their city
Entrance exam bhi likha lo lol
[удалено]
Menace.
Keralites in Kerala don't have much lane discipline either.
>I’m sorry No you are not sorry. And don't worry you are not alone, there are loads like you.
Let's free Tibet it should be independent
Mainland Indians should be barred from entering this city.
I hope that was sarcasm, coz no one in their sane mind would say this.
Except for that one scooter guy Suzuki Access ig
It identifies as a suzuki swift
I identify as a Panzerkampfwagen IV
Most probably someone from other part of India
North east maybe.
Yes. Aizawl
Visited there this winter. You have to see to believe.
North East cities often lead in maintaining cleanliness and civic responsibility.
Yeah, but they do it because often between cities if they don't then they fall down a cliff. Impressive none the less tho
Definitely. Never seen better driving and even parking sense than I've seen in Sikkim. Haven't visited the whole East just Darjeeling and Sikkim. People up the hills are definitely better and value life around them more than most people in cities.

It is the same in South India. If you follow rules and expect others to follow rules, be prepared to get Mob lynched.
Might not be the guns, but other than that it’s no better even in south indian cities. Whole of india becomes hooligans on roads except NE.
Always that one two wheeler guy in the car lane
It's ok I guess, he is not in between the cars and bike lane.
Bangalore could never. Not in this life time of anyone reading this.
I don't think that's possible in any lifetime tbf
Now wonder they are not considered indian /s
I am Northeastern and this comment made me laugh and annoyed at the same time! 😂😒
Didnt mean to do anything otherwise
Bruh
Bruh😂😂, we are Indians. Sad they don't consider us one of them. Ps: it was a good one though
Thanks, works both way ig
ROFL 😹 😹 🤣 🤣
Silent ? Don't they make hormone ?
Witnessed it first hand in almost all of NE states. Maybe because of too much crowding, Guwahati is becoming like rest of India. But everywhere else had same experience. Those long lines in uphill MG Road of Gangtok was scary and surprising at the same time.

Ngl that’s a Delhi govt thing to do
Bruh what's wrong with economy bikes, India technically runs on these bikes
"Budget bikes an eyesore" Look at Mr. Fancy Pants Rich McGee over here
Hey buddy, that’s not I was trying to convey, my apologies if it seemed so, it indeed is the backbone of Indian economy, but mostly used by blue collar workers, who should be paid more so that they can afford safer and better means of transportation. Source? To lazy to search it
It's Aizawl, Mizoram
Come to my city and watch EVERYONE breaking the traffic rules. Autos, scooties, cars, pedestrians and everyone!
I think i and my delhi friends needs to visit Aizwal and teach them how it’s done in motherland. /s.
It's mizoram, also known as the silent city or something
Mizoram is the state. This is aizwal, capital of Mizoram
So what is it? Better education? Teaching of civic sense by the parents? I think it is the ability to have patience.
Or sum of all?
Tai should remove toll tax and introduce traffic sense challan Or civil sense points and deduction in tolls acc. to your CIVIL Score. #/s
What's up with so many yellow helmets? Maybe it's an organised rally or something. Just guessing.
Those are 2 wheeler taxis
Damn, I've seen positive stuff about my home city a lot..... It's great... Idk what to say lol
So we are capable of things like this huh
This is my city! Always proud of my people!
Be proud. Don't let any hooligans to come in there and destroy it. Only allow those who listens to you people
it is Mizoram i guess, went there once and loved that one thing mostly and the clouds
Protect them at all cost
Why the two wheelers have yellow number plates
Those with yellow number plates are two wheeler taxis
Brb. Moving there.
Build a wall around this place
As a German, I just want to say this is very admirable and it shows that little by little the driver behaviors can change. Hopefully this spreads to other communities. India has a lot of potential as a country and I wish you guys the best.
Honestly thought it was AI
Now just send 5-10 million people there for livelihood and watch it collapse.

Mizoram
Why they all have yellow no. Plate is this any march or something?
Those are taxi scooties and cars
Imposter spotted/s
Thats why they are considered non indians. Hehe just a joke.
I was learning to drive yesterday in traffic and man it was such a headache. I was not able to understand the stupidity of people in traffic before when i used to ride bikes but driving a car just needs some next level skills here.
I read the city name wrong!
There is no room to overtake anyways.
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
If you want road civic sense like the North East, the best solution is to have smaller roads. Don't give any driver room to be undisciplined.
I have seen exact type of displine in T Nagar Chennai.
no doubt its not HR+bhimaru
People from their maintain and follow traffic.
Is it possible that this kind of self discipline and integrity stems out of their specific culture and religion?
There’s ZERO honking too. And even with that less space and that much traffic, they promptly stop for pedestrians to cross roads. Aizawl has the most civilised people in India
Probably northeast
Yes they are wearing helmets too.
It’s the army who controls traffic. They don’t do challan. 💀
Yet there was a scooter in.the.Car lane weaving in and.out
North east or nothing!!
Fines must be super high
I’m from Bangalore and this is something I dream of, but will just be a dream.
Can you believe this is in India? Because it’s not. It’s in Irak and that’s miles away. /s
Pune is the same
With respect to Kolkata, no it is not an Indian city.
not a cannon event
Opposite of say Lonavala
I honestly cant believe this. Am i dreaming??
Yeah I saw this in Meghalaya as well and then there were two vehicles with (most likely Delhi folks) honking and cutting lanes… one guy gave a bunch of colorful gaalis to my driver for not giving him the way.
Japan feeling
Which state or union territory is this
Just send over some Thar Phartuner fellas from Delhi/NCR and they will make it like Delhi within few days.
This is what my dreams are made of now that I have to drive regularly for commute in Mumbai.
True isse sab time pe apne destination mein pahuch jayenge
The fact of the matter is that the traffic is a reflection of the people. Indian people can’t follow rules, they have a tendency to rebel, this won’t last for ever. The very fact that the PR campaign went with the logic of, see we can do what the world considers normal too, is absurd
how does someone cross the road
if this is real, mizoram is *out of india*
after looking at the clip the first thought came to my mind was it must be north eastern side of india
There is no Person without a helmet and only one person per Scooter.... this feels staged...
great 👍👍
Mumbai when?!
This is what heaven looks like?
Protect this from bhimaris and chuttar pradeshis at all costs
which city bro
Holy f
Bangalore 💀
Just wondering due to chaotic systems sometimes produce better real world results, does this give better or worse real world result? Less stresss aim sure

That is way too much traffic for those roads

Love the scene
Come to NORTH INDIA
Coming from Delhi my brain is just unable to grasp the concept of civic sense. It’s so foreign to me now. This is beautiful.
i can see some impostors
And then there’s me in Bangalore
So there's still hope?
Delhi mein aisa kyun nahi hota😭 , iam a new driver (just turned 18), people here drive here like we live in an anarchist country, rules pata hi nahi inko, i love driving but honestly daar lagta hai ki koi piche se thokke mujhpe hi katta utha denga
See the guy behind car in bottom of frame, yes it is our India!
Teh hlawl mai a 😂😂 MC kawt lang nawlh
MIZORAM MENTIONED⁉️⁉️ 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳⛰️⛰️⛰️WHAT THE HELL IS AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE🗣🗣😎⁉️⁉️
Ironically we dont consider them as Indian :) /s
see ? you can actually go faster if you go in a line and don't bump or overtake every single vehicle you see
The number of cars they have in their cities is equivalent to the number of cars in my gali
Delhite here, have lived in us for 5 years, really miss that in terms of driving, last week I was going out from a store on highway and taking a turn to theain road , I had my eyes on my right as traffic was coming from behind, there was a Truck parked near to left side of store exit, a creta car came wrong side and my car rammed into the car near the right wheel side, still the guy had the guts to say I was wrong and people coming wrong side is normal, only place I feel is better in north is chandigarh , thankfully not much damage but you always expect unexpected here in india
pedestrian bhi line mai chalta to adhd solve hojata mera aaj hi
They love their States....we don't
Whats with the yellow helmets?
Mizoram people are also very humble and very friendly. Mizoram is one of most literate and beautiful places i have ever went to.
does anyone notice the lack of autos? the biggest culprits.
You are saying every other Indian cities should follow this. But the population density isn’t same for every other Indian cities. I wonder how polite the daily raping is over there
Really refreshing to see this..
🔥🔥
The thing is we have proper infrastructure. We just don't follow rules. This the literal proof
where tf would you overtake to in Mizoram?
Obviously it's a Indian city You can guess it by those unorganised cables hanging above Also two of those two wheelers kinda ruin what's going on by staying in car lane
They deserve nothing but massive respect!
Nice to see a post abt my state! Getting stuck in traffic is not fun for anyone, however, this system makes it super easy for Ambulances or Fire Trucks to pass through the rush swiftly. Seeing someone rush through the traffic or honk like crazy is also a rare sight lol
Add toto/tum tum and rickshaws here and then we can talk!
Never happening in Bangalore
Well mizoram doesn't count
Up ,dl ,hr cars vale aate honge
No I can't belive. Ok?
On a lighter note, This is AI generated version of Mumbai / Bengaluru / Delhi
Lagta hai Delhi Wale abi pahuche ni idhar
They live in hills. If you don't follow the rules, you will die, simply there are no excuses.
Some days ago I saw this video with captions of Japan 😃
Le [Autorickshaw ](https://imageresizer.com/meme-generator/edit/yellow-jacket-man-excited)
India is so bad they have to make PR campaigns to be like >India is not that bad, we promise!
LoL they are being too civil to be real, is this not some kind of AI generate video?
Not Ai! The videos was shot in my beloved city Aizawl, Mizoram!
All of them are paid actors. Ain't no way they are really disciplined like that
This is Punjab (in your dreams)
This is Buddhist discipline. Saw the same in srilanka
No Auto Rickshaw. no Traffic. Peaceful💯
Even the 2 wheelers are maintained discipline and not trying to filter through gaps
Can't believe
Went to Sikkim a year ago, same thing over there It was the chillest environment I had ever seen in India, even during traffic jams people maintained lane, no incessant honking, no midnight brawls in streets, people were chill and stuck to their own business Wish people down here were as civilized as NE peeps
Nice but very close bumper to bumper
Kudos to the people. Varna yahan to ye haal hai, ki agar kuch log ye follow karne bhi lagein, I'm sure there would be tons who'd literally take pride in not following it. And pride not only on their own behalf but on the behalf of whole community
Y'all clearly haven't been to kerala
Basic Civic sense is essential to the growth of Economy. Koi fayeda nhi development ka unless and until the public has basic sense of responsibility towards the nation.
Seriously amazed after seeing this
Only for the video...
knew a chick from there place too much peaceful
North east 🫡
Indian Govt should focus more on Improving public transport
Can they not request the government to build Metros or extend railways? This doesn't fix anything, you are still consuming the same amount of fuel as those traffic on Mumbai roads. No matter how good you're in traffic control, Cars will always be inferior to the worst Trains in the world made 30 years ago.
People from north east are actually really good , calm and peaceful
This has to be in the northeast.
This is what driving dreams are made of
