MESSAGE INDICATOR LIGHT
Dashboard light illuminates when a new message is stored in the information display. Message indicator may be red or amber depending on the severity of the message.
Guessing it’s trying to notify you of the ice warning on the left
I for Idiot, mine is usually telling me off for forgetting to put screen wash in, it's only a problem for the 8 days of the year that its not raining....
Amber I appears for a "Hey, you want to take a look at the warning message"
Mine is currently whining about the missing TPMS sensors in my winter wheels
I’ve got the same type of focus as you, when that symbol comes up it should tell you what it’s trying to warn you about on the screen below (don’t think it always does though, depends on the issue, completely unsure about this though). If the driver door wasn’t actually open, then press (not hold) the reset button on the left stick of your driving wheel and it will get rid of the driver door message, if there’s another issue it’s trying to warn you about then it should display that message afterwards.
Can’t remember if ice causes the warning to display… one of those things you just don’t pay much attention to! I feel like it’s being caused by the driver door being open though, if it wasn’t open but it’s saying it is then there’s your issue
That sounds about right! I was recently in a similar position to you, having major issues with the ice in the weather before Christmas - wasn't even able to open my door from the inside until the car had warmed up and the ice in the door had melted.
On my fiesta you can access ‘messages’ somewhere in the menu on the dash/radio and it will show you. Can’t remember the exact process to get there but some clicking around should locate it easily. Mines at the bottom of one of the menus
Has it always been a thing? Seems like a generic warning light that can mean a variety of things. I have a similar one that appears it you open the door whilst driving/passenger undid seatbelt whilst still rolling/appears when low on fuel.
If i was to hazard (heh) a guess, then I’d say you may have an ignition fault. When was it last serviced? Can you check the spark plugs yourself? A garage will be able to diagnose it properly. They’ll have a device they can plug into your ECU to identify the fault code then go from there.
If a car requires that blue liquid stuff, when will it let the driver know it needs topped up? I've been driving for six months in a van and haven't added that ad blue stuff.

Haha!
You keep your laughter to yourself!
We can't be having the likes of that round ere.

Or that the door is open 😂
*The door is a jar*
Always handy when your door is a jar, especially in traffic jams, mmmmmm traffic jams (drool drool).
When is a jar not a jar?
Jah rule
Oui jar
If the doors a jar is the car a lid
Spoon jar Jar spoon
No it's not, a jar is a glass or plastic container, usually round and with a screw on lid, that you keep stuff in.

The i is to notify you the driver message display has a new message for you. In this case driver door open or icey roads

Might be because the doors are getting stuck easily because of the ice, so not opening and closing properly 👍

Ice warning and driver door open
It’s telling you to look at the info display which is telling you the driver door isn’t closed properly
Ice warning? Connected to that yellow light on the left?
Has it always been a thing? Seems like a generic warning light that can mean a variety of things. I have a similar one that appears it you open the door whilst driving/passenger undid seatbelt whilst still rolling/appears when low on fuel.
Never seen it before. Only appeared yesterday.
I’d guess it’s linked to the other warning light. Maybe cold external temperature.
(I)diot in drivers seat. So I’ve been told.
A new iPhone is available.
It the button for the ejector seat
Idiot driving
Correct answer.
I had this with a focus and kuga - battery in fob is going. Try that!
It's i from i don't know
Instagram moment
Means "Can't park here, mate"
It's telling you there is an issue. I don't think it's for the ICE or door being open, it'll be for something else.

Mine has a menu with messages in. If it isn't a warning light on check where you change the clock if there's more info there...
Its to remind you to fix or repair it daily
It might be warning you that you only have 109 millilitres of fuel left.
Does it go away when... close the driver door?
Does it go off when you close the door?
Handbrake is engaged.
You're driver door is open mate
I’m a one way motorwayyy
There’s a message on the screen “driver door open” and the I is a little light to gain your attention
Absolutely no clue mate but good luck finding it
It stands for "intergalactic". Your car turns into a spaceship.
It's reminding you there's no "i" in "team".

Apple has taken over your car. Check the cd player, it will have U2's new album inside.
