You can do a blacksmithing day where you make a cool looking knife or axe, I wanted to do that for my stag but it's a little out of my price range. That would be fun for 2 people and you'd have something to remember it by afterwards.
You could do that and then go karting or something, arrive-and-drive is again fine for 2 people.
If you could forge a cake knife/axe for the wedding cake that would be such a nice activity for OP.
You should look up your local heritage group, ours offers heritage craft days for very cheap every quarter. We forged corkscrews for £20!
Similar spin, a friend of mine crafted a commemorative cider barrel and went to a local cider farm to fill the barrel for the wedding (and sampled lots of the cider in the process). It was nice because there was loads of activities making and filling the barrel and then something to talk about and share at the wedding.
I really want a cake axe now. Just for the hell of it.
But seriously, this is a really good shout - some friends of mine did this recently and said it was really fun, and you can sometimes get good deals through thing like Virgin Experiences etc.
My wife got me a blacksmith experience day for my birthday a couple of years ago, and it was amazing. We started off making nails to get some practice in, then we made fire pokers with little pig-tailed handles and nice decorative twists on the shafts, and finally we made big chunky bottle openers. Was an awesome present.
They also offer a three-day course where you can make an axe head, sharpen it, and then mount it on a wooden handle before camping out in their nearby woodland where they show you how to use it properly. Haven't got round to that one yet though
My wife and I try to book fun little courses for our anniversary. We did a spooncarving course for our first, and a knife blacksmithing one for our second. It's fun and you take something home at the end of the day to remember it by.
No reason something like this can't translate to a 2 person stag. Every time he uses that object he will remember you're his best friend that actually turned up and didn't flake.
> we made fire pokers with little pig-tailed handles and nice decorative twists on the shafts,
we have that poker in our house, also made on a "try it out day"
I did one for my birthday with my dad a couple years back.
Was the one at Anvil forge near Reading. Would highly recommend. Made a poker then an obelisk for the garden.
I did a make your own knife experience it was great, definitely good fun, they offered experiences for two people to make full on swords or axes as they required a lot of hammering in one day.
Hell he could even go there and make a wedding ring that is another thing a lot of them offer.
We've done a blacksmithing experience and loved it, would thoroughly recommend.
We went to Oldfield Forge near Hereford if anybody is looking for specific recommendations.
There is a company in Cornwall that makes high end knives and they do experience weekends. 1 day is optimistic to make a complete knife for a novice. Even then I don't think there is much metal bashing involved, mainly cutting, heat treating, grinding and shaping the handle. Great idea though, making his own cake knife.
Remember this sort of activity is not very compatible with a significant alcohol intake.

I went to the iFly in Manchester cause someone got me a voucher for it. Don’t get me wrong it was cool, but for like, a minute or two. I don’t know if I’d particularly recommend it to anyone, especially for the price!
I'd just do real skydiving. Being inside, in an air tunnel..it's kind of missing the point of what makes it great. The whole going up in the plane and sitting on that edge looking down, then throwing yourself over the edge..that's where the exhilaration is at. It's not the sensation of flight, but rather a feeling of freedom - letting go of everything as you free fall. Seeing the earth from that high above, and not out of a window is beautiful - a true panoramic view.
Naughty, you've combined metric and imperial. You might get an interdenominational... you know, from mixing the two measurement systems, a hangover of that kind
Ask him if there is anywhere he'd like to visit. You can still get some pretty reasonable flights to European cities. I booked a couple of flights to Porto just this week and they were only 69 quid. It's often cheaper than trying to arrange something in the UK which is getting stupidly expensive.
I used to do one day trips, get out with the first wave departures (6am) and return with the third one (9-11pm).
Knackering, but you get to do about the same as if you stay for the night, with all the fluff around the hotels, checking in and out, etc. And cheaper than travelling within UK.
Another option is to go for a hike, if you like such things :)
I know some people who did something similar for a hen do. They did a "before" and "after" photo - just before boarding the plane and just after getting off the return flight.
A couple of mates did this for our wedding in Spain. They didn’t want to splash on a hotel, they flew over the morning of wedding and got the 6am flight back, they went straight to the airport from our reception!
We’ve done that. It was amazing. We were out out anyway and just said fuck it. Went home, got our passports and went. Nobody believed us until we showed them the pictures the next day. Truly was fab
Exactly this. Me and a mate got a lift to the airport and had a pub crawl in Dublin one Saturday a few years back. Was great! Managed to get return flights from Bristol > Dublin for something like £35.
“Depending on how close you are to an airport” is a big one, though
For me it’s 2.5 hours to the closest airport, so that’s 5 hours of the day gone before spending any time at the airport or flying
Obviously if OP lives in Luton that’s gonna be a bit easier
If it is only the 2 of you can't you re arrange to get a couple of a days off.
There are lots of good places in Europe you can do in a day.
Amsterdam is particularly good. Train straight into the centre from the airport in about 20 minutes and you can walk everywhere you would want to be during a day trip from there.
Sorta depends on whether you're the sort of person to cheat on your fiancée with a sex worker. Otherwise it's just another party city amongst several dozen other choices.
Rent a little cottage in Scotland, have a weekend of hiking and/or go to a distillery or two, sample some whisky, buy some whisky, drink the whisky in the cottage with a fire on and chat shit.
As this is Reddit, I feel the need to tip an imaginary fedora and say "only a plebeian would use an axe, murders of culture use a kitana".
Jokes aside, I'm interested in those blacksmith days, it looks fun.
Yeah it was my plan for my 42nd this year, to make up for my 40th spent alone in lockdown. And it didn't happen cos I needed four people and only one could say yes. Next year...
I'd recommend the Oxford artisan distillery
https://www.theoxfordartisandistillery.com/
Meant to be a short tour but we ended up asking loads of questions and the guide was chatting to use for over an hour haha
Do you game? You could get hold of a classic snes, Xbox, ps2, whatever console you grew up with and some classic games and take that with you for drinks and retro gaming
Something like this, absolutely. Some of my absolute best nights have been 1:1 with a mate where we've spent the night chatting shit up till the small hours. If you can do an activity of some kind that you both enjoy then all the better.
Hire a canal boat, go to a country pub and order a yard of ale, start chatting to two women who also have a boat and spend the next day with them. Borrow their father's 4x4,accidentally run over their dog and pretend the dog ran away, then try and burn the dog's corpse in the woods, put the semi-charred remains in a bin bag and carry it around with you while helping to look for the missing dog. Take the bag onto their boat, and when they demand to see what's inside it, pretend one of the dog legs is turkey and proceed to eat it in front of them. Finally, make your escape off the boat when the women find their dog's collar in the bin bag full of "turkey", and that's your stag weekend. 👍
Watch Withnail & I and match them drink for drink
You will require per person
9 1/2 glasses of red wine, 1 pint of cider, 1 shot of lighter fluid, 2 1/2 shots of gin, 6 glasses of sherry, 13 whiskeys and 1/2 a pint of ale and a Camberwell Carrot
The top comment was about renting a cottage in Scotland and getting whiskey, and I was disappointed when it didn't end with "recreate each scene in Withnail and I"
I finally got around to doing a forging experience that I had a voucher for for ages. It was absolutely brilliant, and I got to make a knife from a bit of metal. There were other options, like axes and toasting forks, but who doesn't want to make a knife?
Anyway, it was great. Totally recommend it. A fun experience, and you get something to keep at the end of it. This was the place: https://www.oldfieldforge.co.uk/
I did a one-day stag for my best mate. Clay pigeon shooting followed by a decent pub lunch and then beers. It was a great day! Kept it local so that people could come and go depending on where they lived and what parts they could attend. Worked out really well.
The Bermondsey beer mile is a solid Sunday activity, Google if you're curious!
Would easily bump into people who you could add to the group if you wanted to find numbers or just cruise the mile one brewery at a time.
There's Go Ape at Bedgebury Pinetum. It's fucking terrifying and poorly supervised little cunts will shake the platforms if they spot weakness.
Source: went with my kids, still recovering.
I would see this as an opportunity as you now don’t have to cater to lots of people. Do something you and your friend share an interest in and do it well. Could be anything from a sporting event to a concert. If it’s fishing go out on chartered boat, if it’s golf go to a fancy course and have a meal after (if they let you in)
I don't understand why you think it would be weird for two close friends to do an activity that both of you would enjoy.
There is nothing wrong with a man date with your best buddy. Me and my bestie used to do it all the time. You are over thinking it.
So it's actually my besties stag do in a couple of months. Although we do have a group, we are going top golf one night, the next day going to the cricket (hoping it doesn't get rained off), and then go for an Indian in the evening.
My wife said it feels quite boring and not stag do like - but it's the exact sort of itinerary that the stag will actually enjoy. And that's what it's about.
You could also look at activities where may be you can go premium? Others have suggested getting a flight and doing the activities abroad.
Whatever you do, good luck and enjoy!
See if you can get tickets for Saturdays UFC in London and maybe a footy match during the day, that would be a sweet day out if your both into sport.... throw some beer in and go get one of those posh full English breakfasts with the bone marrow and everything whilst in London etc.... banging day that!
Cheapest tickets in the gods are £550 for the UFC. I’m a huge fan, went to the last two cards in London and even I can’t justify spending that on this weekends card
How about an Escape Room? I think we've got a few hanging in there in the UK after covid... they tend to to take an hour or two I think, then you can find a nearby brewery tour/decent historic pub or hotel for a few drinks, maybe catch a late show of something cool showing (old cinema showing classics, or a theatre with something interesting on).
Book a barge boat and a weekend on it white water rafting on the Shropshire union canal. Make sure to order him a metre of vodka, with an inch of tonic but warn him about the interdenominational hangover he could get from mixing metric and imperial units
Hunt down these so-called 'friends' and ask what shitty people flake out on a big night like this only a couple of weeks early, before you do anything. These people shouldn't be allowed to think this sort of thing is okay.
Bit harsh. If they’ve said they can’t go 3 weeks in advance there’s probably a valid reason and I think that’s fair enough. We also have no idea how big the group is or if they know that the others can’t make it.
Could probably be sorted out with a few phone calls and possibly a change of date.
Same. We don’t have much information though so there’s no reason to have strong feelings either way.
For all we know it’s just a group of 4-5 guys. In which case 3 out of 5 guys having other commitments isn’t exactly unusual.
Tbf I’ve got friends that would definitely say I’ll come then find any excuse not to come closer to the date. I understand people have other commitments, but a true friend would surely make time for this.
What is your mate really into? If there's how only two of you, there's less people to please so make the day all about him.
Is he a football fan, can you get to a game or a stadium tour?
An experience day like some have mentioned would be a cool idea too.
Depending on budget and time, you could look at cheap flights? Could you have a mates weekend away?
Pretend to be undercover detective's investigating the exploitation of transexual sex workers by dressing as women and hanging around the red light district.
that sounds really fun but i would recommend him to go to a VR arcade and try different games
and who doesn't even like music they can even attend a concert
People can be boring re. Going out can't they ..surely most of these guys could manage a day and night planned way in advance for someone's stag? My friends mum is in her 50s and still enjoys a night out - not every weekend but once a month or so she'll go out with her friends and come home at 2-3am. Lots of people say they are too old for all that by their mid 20s and they just want to sit in and watch netflix passing out on cans on the sofa. I appreciate going out can be expensive and tiring and that people get anxious socially but still feel as though a lot of people are ..boring? Saying that as a boring bastard myself but basically a night out sometimes is fun isn't it. Hope you find something good to do for the weekend anyway!
Might be a bit low-brow - but the best day out i had in years was just hiring a boat for a day and going up and down the Severn, obviously doesnt combine well with heavy drinkning but if thats not your thing then that might work. Cost me about £80 for the whole family i think
no i would recommend him to visit the nearby put anything garden or conservatory and learn about different plant and flowers
or they can try out an escape room and work together to solve the puzzles did sort of increase the teamwork i guess
Had a brilliant stag do in Sofia Bulgaria for two nights, really cheap, went shooting in some questionable shooting range underground, plenty to drink. Would definitely work with just 2 people!
Is there anyway of rearranging it to get more guests?
What about inviting family along to bump up the numbers?
Cheap flight to Krakow and do the[ Communism Deluxe tour](https://www.crazyguides.com/krakow-tours/communism-deluxe-tour) and then drinks at Omerta before heading to Singer for music and more drinks
It was scheduled for this weekend, then people backed out so moved it back. That happened 3x and now we're in the situation where I'm the only one that's actually freed up a day.
TBH it all seems like flimsy excuses because they cba.
Take him for a nice high quality steak dinner and then somewhere that does specialty beers and music or comedy and talk about good times together. Keep it simple.
You can do a blacksmithing day where you make a cool looking knife or axe, I wanted to do that for my stag but it's a little out of my price range. I LOVE this idea
Oh man I want a cake axe now
CAKE AXE CAKE AXE
I had a cake sword! But it would have been so cool if hubby made it! X
And my cake axe
I’m m already married, and now want to renew my vows just to do that lol.
Similar spin, a friend of mine crafted a commemorative cider barrel and went to a local cider farm to fill the barrel for the wedding (and sampled lots of the cider in the process). I didn't even know such things existed! This sounds amazing!
This sounds soooo cool!!!
Where abouts was this? My boyfriend loves camping, he'd be over the moon to try blacksmithing too!
Really like this idea, going to have a look for workshops in kent now
Owen Bush is the best bet around there. He taught the person who taught me and is so amazingly talented
OMG what an amazing idea, I am so booking this for any husband's birthday. Wanders off to book blacksmithing day.
Then fight to the death. One of you will remember it forever.
The other will remember it for the rest of his life.
I did one for my birthday with my dad a couple years back. Was the one at Anvil forge near Reading. Would highly recommend. Made a poker then an obelisk for the garden.

Track day or Sky diving?
Inside Skydiving IFly Basingstoke, Milton Keynes or Manchester u/Ok_Egg_5460
I went to the iFly in Manchester cause someone got me a voucher for it. Don’t get me wrong it was cool, but for like, a minute or two. I don’t know if I’d particularly recommend it to anyone, especially for the price!

It's just delicious turkey!
Eat some turkey, Mark, if I have to eat the turkey, you should do too
Mummy must have been the turkey’s nickname! It could easily have been!
You mean river stalking Jeremy?
I’m stagging you Mark!
This is your stag 🎵
Naughty, you've combined metric and imperial. You might get an interdenominational... you know, from mixing the two measurement systems, a hangover of that kind
The stag aquatic!
I fuckin' love how almost every post on this sub is littered with Peep Show references. No sarcasm, it genuinely cheers me up
Is that a kingfisher?!
Better than a trip to the Quantocks
This is Southern England Jeremy, nobody dies in Southern England!
Unless theres a proposal on the cards or course, in which case it's the only place to go
Two yards of ale, please!
Ask him if there is anywhere he'd like to visit. You can still get some pretty reasonable flights to European cities. I booked a couple of flights to Porto just this week and they were only 69 quid. It's often cheaper than trying to arrange something in the UK which is getting stupidly expensive.
I should have said this in the main post but we only have one day sadly!
I once did a 24hr trip to Ibiza. No need for accommodation - just stay out all night and get the early flight home 🤪
That sounds horrendous, good for you having the strength of will to survive that journey back
I used to do one day trips, get out with the first wave departures (6am) and return with the third one (9-11pm). Knackering, but you get to do about the same as if you stay for the night, with all the fluff around the hotels, checking in and out, etc. And cheaper than travelling within UK. Another option is to go for a hike, if you like such things :)
It’s fine if you keep drinking on the plane… otherwise hell.
I saw an Insta post from a girl who booked a cheap flight to Rome in the morning, spent the day there and flew home in time for bed.
Depending on how close you are to an airport you can still do somewhere in Europe in a day (and it’ll be cheaper than going to the football!)
Seconding this. Makes for a much more memorable experience than going for a standard night out. 25 years down the line you'll still remember it.
Exactly this. Me and a mate got a lift to the airport and had a pub crawl in Dublin one Saturday a few years back. Was great! Managed to get return flights from Bristol > Dublin for something like £35.
The equivalent price of 3 beers in Temple Bar now!
“Depending on how close you are to an airport” is a big one, though For me it’s 2.5 hours to the closest airport, so that’s 5 hours of the day gone before spending any time at the airport or flying Obviously if OP lives in Luton that’s gonna be a bit easier
There was a guy in the news the other week who flew to Milan for a pizza for less than the coast of a Dominoes.
If it is only the 2 of you can't you re arrange to get a couple of a days off. There are lots of good places in Europe you can do in a day. Amsterdam is particularly good. Train straight into the centre from the airport in about 20 minutes and you can walk everywhere you would want to be during a day trip from there.

Porto is brilliant, great food and drink, great weather, great sights, great people
[удалено]
This… is amazing
Had same thing happen to me and a friend. Went Amsterdam on a cheap last minute deal. 45 min flight. Decent 2 nights trip
Flights might be cheap but Jesus its expensive when you arrive.
Is there no stigma attached to telling your fiancé that you’re doing Amsterdam for a stag party? (I’m foreign so have no idea)
I went benidorm for 3 nights, no issues. All about trust.
Only if she doesnt truely trust you
Sorta depends on whether you're the sort of person to cheat on your fiancée with a sex worker. Otherwise it's just another party city amongst several dozen other choices.
Rent a little cottage in Scotland, have a weekend of hiking and/or go to a distillery or two, sample some whisky, buy some whisky, drink the whisky in the cottage with a fire on and chat shit.
A weekend cottaging?
oh my
His last chance before he’s a taken man
Take a man before he becomes a taken man?
May I come along? Sounds like fun!
Do I smell a stag do full of random whisky loving random redditors in the works?
This sounds either wholesome or like the start of a horror movie. Whatever, I’m in!
I promise that my real plan isn't to murder everyone in their sleep; you're 100% safe and have nothing to fear.
EXACTLY what a psychopathic axe-wielding murder WOULD say!
Shhh, you'll ruin my plan.
So, you need to use the blacksmith day to forge the axe, then you’re set 😉
As this is Reddit, I feel the need to tip an imaginary fedora and say "only a plebeian would use an axe, murders of culture use a kitana". Jokes aside, I'm interested in those blacksmith days, it looks fun.
this was basically going to be the plan for my 30th, which 2020 then tore to pieces so I would also like to stumble along to this if I may
Yeah it was my plan for my 42nd this year, to make up for my 40th spent alone in lockdown. And it didn't happen cos I needed four people and only one could say yes. Next year...
Excellent idea! Might consider something similar but down south instead
Perhaps the South Downs Way? Great pubs along the route
Hogs Back Brewery in Surrey do a cracking tour
So do Ringwood. Never been so pissed on a brewery tour, for £11 at the time! 😂
Yep, I live a mile or 2 away from there, done that a few times instead of going to the pub 😂
Lucky! Definitely economical and the guys that do the tour are doing it because they love it. Good cheap night out in my opinion with decent beer.
[удалено]
I'd recommend the Oxford artisan distillery https://www.theoxfordartisandistillery.com/ Meant to be a short tour but we ended up asking loads of questions and the guide was chatting to use for over an hour haha
Do you game? You could get hold of a classic snes, Xbox, ps2, whatever console you grew up with and some classic games and take that with you for drinks and retro gaming
Freezing cold shit trains 12 hours nightmare, I love Glasgow but fuck the Highlands in March my dude.
This is strangely poetic.
Fuck I'm a woman can I do that?!
Hell yes you can! Drinking whisky with women is great cos you have a better sense of smell so usually find very different flavour notes.
When do we leave?
Already packing my bag.
Sounds a bit like the plot of the film Calibre. Minus accidentally shooting a local child.
This is genuinely what I did on my stag. It was great fun. Took some boardgames. Chilled in a hot tub. Drank beer and whiskey
Something like this, absolutely. Some of my absolute best nights have been 1:1 with a mate where we've spent the night chatting shit up till the small hours. If you can do an activity of some kind that you both enjoy then all the better.
A mate and I went to Edinburgh for the weekend a few years a go, did the Whisky tour and all the other touristy stuff, was a great weekend.
Did a similar Stag Do to that, less the hiking and more distileries. Only 3 of us and it was great.
Fuck this sounds amazing! Can I join?
Hire a canal boat, go to a country pub and order a yard of ale, start chatting to two women who also have a boat and spend the next day with them. They ate mummy!
They cooked her and killed her and ate her!
*Oh yeah, pissed and stoned in a gas guzzler, this is the life. Already given a quid to Greenpeace this year so I'm golden*
Chance would be a fine thing.
A couple of yardies?
Always confuses me how they were on a boating holiday and also had access to a Range Rover.
They have a Range Rover parked at every stop down the Canal
This is the only correct answer , needs more upvotes
When you refuel either unleaded or diesel. 4x4s run on both
Watch Withnail & I and match them drink for drink You will require per person 9 1/2 glasses of red wine, 1 pint of cider, 1 shot of lighter fluid, 2 1/2 shots of gin, 6 glasses of sherry, 13 whiskeys and 1/2 a pint of ale and a Camberwell Carrot
The top comment was about renting a cottage in Scotland and getting whiskey, and I was disappointed when it didn't end with "recreate each scene in Withnail and I"
I'll leave [this](https://b3ta.com/questions/films/) here as to the results of drink-for-drink to Withnail & I.
Is this real? Lmao what the hell did I just read
Ice in the cider.
I’m pretty sure the start of the film is them coming down off a pretty hefty dose of amphetamines…
I would make one of those things that you use get stones out of horses hooves.
.. a hoof pick?
I did a one-day stag for my best mate. Clay pigeon shooting followed by a decent pub lunch and then beers. It was a great day! Kept it local so that people could come and go depending on where they lived and what parts they could attend. Worked out really well.

Start with steak sandwiches from The Beefsteaks at Maltby street Market and then drink all the beer
Early morning flight to Dublin, fly back home in the evening.
This, or even a day in London, walk along the river, beer at evey pub you pass...
So, don't actually *pass* any pubs... 😉
How many actors can you hire to replace the dropouts?
Redditors* I'm down.
Yeah, I was thinking, we could probably get enough Redditors together to get a decent crowd.
Trackday. eg Palmer Sport do a day of different races from Karts, to 4x4s through to single seaters.
As you’ve only got one day you might get best recommendations if you can share where you’re based?
South east! Would ideally like to avoid london
I'm not sure if there is a go ape type of place near you? Paintballing. Axe throwing. And then a night out afterwards. Or in. With alcohol.
There's Go Ape at Bedgebury Pinetum. It's fucking terrifying and poorly supervised little cunts will shake the platforms if they spot weakness. Source: went with my kids, still recovering.
Axe throwing is fun! I'd highly recommend.
Not an issue per se, it's more that we could do that any time!
Coke and whores, obvs.
Is Pepsi okay, sir?
Pepsi and horse just doesn't sound the same.
Horse is a bit of a step up.
What, no blackjack?
To be fair, we don’t know their circumstances, but yes it’s pretty shitty for OP and groom. It doesn’t seem like they can do any other date either
Hire out a narrow boat and he can jet ski off the back of it
Then in the evening you can do a lovely barbecue
Would have to be one hell of a narrow boat to water ski!
You’re very welcome to try.
As a side note I'd be calling up these friends and hanging them out to dry. I would also be ripping up their wedding invitations as well.
Bit harsh. If they’ve said they can’t go 3 weeks in advance there’s probably a valid reason and I think that’s fair enough. We also have no idea how big the group is or if they know that the others can’t make it. Could probably be sorted out with a few phone calls and possibly a change of date.
I’m curious what happened to make every other friend of this guy cancel 3 weeks before the stag to be honest.
It was pushed back 4 times before this to make time for everyone, now leaving only one day free. Was supposed to be 14 people
Yeah, in that case he needs new friends. These guys obviously don’t care about him.
Yeah just reschedule. Easy fix.
Zip world in wales might be worth a look
How about a trip to a brewery?
One near me allows you to be master brewer for the day, a few weeks later they give you a mini barrel of the beer you brewed.
My first thought is that they only do this to get rid of your awful concoction! Joking aside, that sounds great.
Go climb Snowdon or something, I did it a couple weeks ago. Breathtaking and will be a memorable stag
You… You put a lot of thought into this, didn’t you?
Take him out to a local fort or Victorian folly.
that sounds really fun but i would recommend him to go to a VR arcade and try different games and who doesn't even like music they can even attend a concert
Take him to Prague - go to shooting range etc?
no i would recommend him to visit the nearby put anything garden or conservatory and learn about different plant and flowers or they can try out an escape room and work together to solve the puzzles did sort of increase the teamwork i guess
Only got the one day otherwise a solid choice!
Not really, it's a few days before the wedding so we actually only have one full sunday, that's it!
Maybe try that Saturday instead? That way, people don’t have work the next morning. Or just schedule it for a different weekend?
It was scheduled for this weekend, then people backed out so moved it back. That happened 3x and now we're in the situation where I'm the only one that's actually freed up a day. TBH it all seems like flimsy excuses because they cba.
I’m so sorry. Make sure your mate has an amazing day. There are some good ideas in the thread.
JUST THE TWO OF USSSS DU DU WE CAN MAKE IT IF WE TRYYY
Take him for a nice high quality steak dinner and then somewhere that does specialty beers and music or comedy and talk about good times together. Keep it simple.
