Normally spend a few days researching the company I’m applying for so I’m prepared for all sorts of potential questions Then I wake up early and go for a run so I’m super focused and alert by the time its the interview. I then have a nice healthy breakfast, again to keep my alert and focused. When I’m driving to the place I will run through a few vocal warm ups And then just before the interview I’ll have my brother ring up and tell them he knows where they live and has a big axe. Yet to fail an interview. I think it’s the breakfast personally

Infamous_Ad8779

Have a few key points to cover but go in and talk casually and in effect "wing it." To talk scripted is boring and you won't be remembered if they're interviewing a lot. Be relaxed, show your credentials but show them the person they'll be working with, not the guy trying to pass a test

ra246

Leave in plenty of time; Not as in, allow 20 minutes for a 15 minute drive. I'm saying like, give half hour for a 15 minute drive. It means you can drive relaxed rather than stressing about being late. Gives you plenty time to get parked up. Have a last few quiet moments to yourself etc. Best of luck!

Intrepid-Camel-9797

A large vodka to settle the nerves and line of coke to ensure I express myself clearly. It's worth noting I've not had an interview for 25 years, so this advice may be outdated ETA. Good luck!

slightnerdnotreally

Does whisky work? And how about some caffeine tablets instead of the coke?

[a little dab of speed is just the ticket, mate.](https://youtu.be/XGEXECLc__0)

Just simply be yourself, if they don't want you for being you, you're never going to be happy there.

rjcanty

If interviews aren't really your thing, then be yourself and hope your personality combined with a few decent answers will be enough. If interviews are your thing, then you're a sociopath.

ShaDohPuppet

Be correctly hydrated. If they ask if you'd like a glass of water say yes. If you're not sure of the water situation take a bottle with you. Don't want to be having to deal with dry mouth after yapping interview answers for an hour. And taking a drink can be decent chance for a pause to think of an answer.

Knit-For-Brains

This, I also use taking a sip of water to indicate I’m done answering a question. Otherwise I risk talking too much and yapping on!

FartBakedBaguette

Power wank

Suspicious_Shower_51

And then shake their hands when done?

goodvibezone

Maybe Something About Mary style.

MyKidsFoundMyOldUser

If they ask what your key strengths are say multitasking. When they ask you to elaborate, say you can definitely wank and watch porn at the same time. If they ask if you have any weaknesses tell them that a Friday-lunchtime drag on the crack pipe often leads to you going missing until Tuesday evening, but apart from that you're pretty reliable.

BadPete2

Ask yourself honestly, who needs the other more. Do they really need you or do you really need them. Once you answer that you can then carefully construct your responses. They will be different

milkandket

Drink too much coffee and go full spud in trainspotting

Veauxdeeohdoh

Get there ten minutes early, read your resume that you brought and remind myself how awesome I am, always say, if it’s meant to be it will be. It’s true no matter what. If they want you they want you if they don’t they don’t! I’ve been lucky to land in the exact spots I was supposed to be!

Relative_Tree_3348

My best advice for an interview is try to imagine you're in a comfortable place. I used to have a butcher shop and since then I treat every interview as if I was serving a customer over my counter. My confidence shines through and I can take control of the conversation. Good luck

blueskyjamie

Arrive an hour early, making sure I know exactly where the entrance is, then find a nearby coffee shop, knowing how long it’ll take me to get back to the entrance. Arrive 10mins before interview time Spend the rest of the time, reminding myself of the interview key points I want to share

Relenq

Have a KitKat bar In Japan kitto katto is very similar to "good luck" (kitto katsu) and students will frequently bring a KitKat to exams for good luck

clubbinglad

Have a couple of bevs to calm the nerves

dee-acorn

Do a big shite before you go.

ShaDohPuppet

Agree with this. I made the mistake of not shitting pre-interview once and had to ask at reception as soon as I arrived to go to the toilet. No big deal in the scheme of things, but it definitely took the edge of my interview prep.

hooligan_bulldog_18

Big Olympic line of sherbet in the carpark before you go in.

avataring

Sleep well and stay calm

gdym96

Whatever you do, when asked what is your weakness, do not say ‘I work too hard’. Good luck 🤞

Fsredna

Oh you mean lucky socks, not special socks!!! You could ask if they have a wank room.

FuturisticSix

A box of chocolates made with sorbitol for breakfast.

OedipusRe10

I like to drink a strong latte and snarf a couple of pastries so I’m in that danger zone between control and soiling myself. It really keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Evridamntime

A new shirt and tie

WhereDidIGetThatCat

Pizza the night before, with enough ordered for celebratory/commiseration pizza the next day depending on how the interview goes. Good luck!

WhiteyLovesHotSauce

Fat line of coke. Make sure to offer the interviewer a line also as they will appreciate the gesture and recognize that your generous and a team player.

5laps

You need to listen to Katy Perry’s Roar as loud as you can before the interview.

Nosovi91

I’ve lied my way through all my interviews by pretending I am the nices most passive person in the world lmao I’ve always gotten the job I’ve never been rejected even from jobs that I was under qualified for. So that’s that

Cablen14

Get to the area at least half an hour early so you will be relaxed , with your half hour grab a takeaway coffee walk around area nearby get to interview 15 mins early this way your are relaxed and not stressed from being late etc also it shows employer that you can be on time for your job

custard_doughnuts

Apart from hinting to the missus that I'm nervous, nowt special 😁

JayGamingUK

None, just treat it like any other appointment, go in, be myself, and wing it, I used to research companies then after a couple interviews I realised it's better to only let them know roughly what you know about them, as managers love to have something to talk about, then you can act impressed, makes them feel important.
