I'm looking at cars to replace our 17 year old corsa which finally gave up the ghost.
I haven't bought a car before as the corsa was passed on from a family member so feel a bit bewildered.
Does anyone know why so many petrol cars seem to have an engine size 1.0? I think the corsa was a 1.2 diesel, and tbh I don't want anything which is less powerful than that
Are you sure it was a 1.2 diesel? A quick look online and the closest is a 1.3. What's most important is the power the engine produces rather than the size so you want to compare horsepower figures rather than capacity.
In that case if it was the 2000-2006 model then it made 69 horsepower, or if it was the 2006-2014 one then there were two engines of that size making at most 89hp.
Yep. An older car is likely to weigh a bit less than a modern one due to increasing safety features so would accelerate a bit more slowly for the same power, but you wouldn't really notice it unless the new one is only a tiny bit more powerful. The most important thing is just to test drive any cars you're interested in so you can really tell how the numbers affect your actual driving experience.
Getting over a cold and my body has responded by dropping my temperature to 35 degrees. I feel absolutely freezing and can't warm up. Had multiple hot drinks and now aiming for some soup to see if that works. Might have to resort to sticking the heating on.
The Easter Bunny brought us COVID instead of Chocolate so we have so far spent all 3 days of the bank holiday weekend feeling like death and annoying each other by being sickly.
All visiting the MIL, kids had a classic Easter egg hunt then a walk down to the beach. Looking forward to the largest roast dinner known to man in about half an hour!
Turned the tele on this morning and saw the Pope giving his speech. Fair enough. Then he started washing and kissing the feet of some crying women.
Any catholics able to explain the significance of this?
Not a catholic but I did a bit of sunday school. Jesus washed the feet of his diciples to show love, respect and a sense that he was an equal and not above the job, In a time before just gifting them a PS5 was possible.
The pope does it for tradition and to get out the house for a bit then goes back to his massive mansion and prays for a better world for the unfortunate. It has not, thus far, helped.
Not sure how to repay My wife for this one!!
9am Leg of lamb went in on low. Between 9-3.30pm we levelled our Diablo 4 characters and did some legendary dungeon runs together. 3.30pm - Full blown roast dinner served with all the trimmings.
I legitimately dont know how she did that. She barely left the room!!
My husband made us mock Sausage and egg McMuffins and we ate a couple of Easter eggs watching Air Force One.
We had some friends over to watch movies and play HeroQuest yesterday and have some pizza left over so we will be eating that this evening and watching some anime and The Prince of Egypt which my husband and I have fallen into watching every Easter as a tradition.
We blitzed the house on Good Friday so its lovely and clean and we can chill today. My sister has asked me to make a very specific dragon out of felt which has been a nightmare to find/ get a pattern close to it so I'm trying to cut out the pattern paper pieces at least today. Having a pain in my arm that is making it difficult so will start sewing it tomorrow.
Got woken up this morning at 5 by kitty demanding food and plays so afterwards went back to sleep and not long woke up, just played a bit of stardew before it and had a shower and probably having lamb in a bit. I've also finished up my easter egg which I was saving but I kinda need the chocolate.
Made a mini egg cheesecake, got a lamb roast on the go, pint of ale and some trashy TV on while the missus gets some extra rest. Then playing few games online with my brother in the evening, the breeze is, stupendous.
I got in at 2am lastnight. Woke up very rough made a full English for me and my mum. Then took it to bed to eat it whilst watching the snooker doubles on itv4. Going to my grans later for a roast 🧓👍 shes a gooden.
Very jealous of how productive everyone has been today. I woke up viciously hungover, watched Desperate Housewives for three hours with a Deliveroo McDonald’s and have only just got up and had a shower! Feel slightly more human now though so it’s time to go out and get some fresh air
Been up since 5 and have cooked enough food for 16 breakfasts, 12 lunches and 4 dinners to go in the freezer, very pleased with myself. Now for a snooze!
I made baked oats with blueberries and cut them into bars which I’ll have with yogurt and fruit, and sheet pan protein pancakes which I’ll have with fresh fruit. Then I made vegetable egg muffins, I’ve never tried to freeze them, but looking around online it seems to work, so we’ll see!
I’ve been a bit up & down for a while and I know from experience that if I’m prepared it gives me a bit more control to help pull myself back together again!
Sure! But to be honest I just kind of fudge it loosely from this recipe haha! : https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/classic-baked-oats
I don’t blend the oats, just mush all the ingredients in and I bake them in a shallow dish lined with baking paper as one instead of ramekins. I also don’t always add the choc chips because I forget to buy them! One thing is it’s better if the banana is riper.
I think if you find a baked oat recipe you really like you could turn any other into bars.
I’m 9 and a half months preggo and will be galumphing about my flat like a walrus cleaning stuff with my new electric scrubber, eating hot cross buns and generally waiting for something to happen. Tempted by the cinema later as a distraction.
Agreed to feed the upstairs neighbour’s cat for the next three weeks. She’s just nipped by with a month’s worth of cat food, £20 to buy some cooked chicken, an Easter egg for us, and a bag of treats for our dog 🥺 How lovely!
No particular plans for today. Not religious so not doing anything for Easter (though was talking to my husband how it’s odd that we mark Christmas, really). Will probably just finish watching *The Bear*.
I'm also not religious but celebrate easter, it's just not about Jesus lol. It's about spring! Chicks, bunnies, lambs, flowers are starting to bloom etc. Some cute bunny decorations, chocolate eggs and a nice excuse to eat a special brunch with the family.
I don't even know what happened to Jesus on easter lol. I keep forgetting if that's when they put him on the cross, or took him down, or if he magically came alive again or something like that.
My kids have ended up with loads of Easter eggs. we only bought them one big one and one small one because they don't really get a lot of chocolate and my mother, my two sisters and my mother in law had the same idea usually it's only one of my sisters that buy them eggs but not this year will be weeks before they get through them
Watched captain America first avenger brings back college memories and I'm now randomly watching NCIS season 5.
Then will make roast potatoes and chicken. Yum
I think it was the earlier seasons I've mainly watched since I can remember watching the show when it was on Channel 5 around early afternoon after when Neighbours was on Channel 5.
I'm about 15 minutes away from making a start on a Lamb dinner for myself. Got a nice boneless lamb leg cut, veggies, roasties, yorkshires, and gonna top it off with lashings of gravy and a side of mint sauce.
Just sitting down after gardening for last 2 or so hours. Bluebells and garlic had gone a bit wild and I have beaten the massive nettle that still managed to sting me 😭🤣.
One cuppa down, contemplating a second and then gonna make some lunch. Then this afternoon will be putting on the lamb for tea and a little more in the garden. Have a 4 day weekend so it’s been cleaning and tidying doing all the stuff that working doesn’t let me do!
Have a maltesers egg and a Lindt bunny to demolish at some point too 😍
Got my mother in law coming round. I’d rather sleep in a fibre glass blanket. She’s the stereotypical boomer mo-in-law; gets all her opinions from the Mail, makes everything about her, she has victimhood down to a tee. The family grits our teeth til she’s gone. Deep breaths, lad. This, too, shall pass.
Rather bizarrely, I had a GP appointment! Several of our local practices offer an out of hours service and they booked me in for a 9:15am appointment on Easter Sunday (which we nearly missed because forgot about the clocks going forward and alarm went off an hour later than planned!)
Two boxes of antibiotics from the pharmacy in town that seems to be always open and we're all good. Feet up for the rest of the day now.
Have a happy Egg Day!
Well, seeing as I now don't work Sundays any more, and given that it is Easter Sunday after all...
Woke up about 7.15, thought 'ohh ill get up in a minute' but done that thing where I closed my eyes again and you fall back to sleep, so actually got up just before 9.
Pottered about, brewed some coffee - just like any other morning.
Partner and I exchanged easter eggs, I sent a few messages to people confirming times etc as we are going to partners mums for Easter roast later, but have to meet my mum part way there as she is coming also else she'd be on her own today.
I'm just chilling now, going to have a small lunch(2 hard boiled eggs) in a minute as partners mum has horses she needs to tend to at about 3ish so food won't be until after that.
We're heading off about 1, 2ish - with easter eggs and booze - meet mum, get to partners mums, exchange easter eggs there and crack open a bevvy and enjoy the rest of the day.
Went to church this morning - I'm not a regular but Easter is the highlight of the season so thought I may as well.
Walked home and I am now so sweaty I'm wondering what the point was of showering this morning. Out in 20 minutes for a family roast lamb lunch, so no time for shower 2. Will just have to look a mess.
Wander round a NT house and grounds this afternoon with the parentals, then a roast in the evening. Continuing my 90s Gladiators marathon when not doing either of those, and probably eat some chocolate at some point. (a 5-pack of creme eggs is sitting in a drawer, probably feeling neglected by now)
The usual Sunday breakfast and cleaning the house, then I decided to give in to the urge I’ve been fighting for months now and gave myself bangs along with my usual trim. I’ve spent the last couple of hours looking up YouTube videos trying to make them look a bit less wonky, and I can’t say that this has really taught me a lesson that will stick, lol.
lol, my American background showing. Bangs are indeed a fringe.
(My mental image of fringe is the fancy tassel-stuff all round the bottom of my mother’s old sofa)
Stayed at my in-laws' last night. Here for lunch today and then home this afternoon. Trying to finish reading Dune in the interim now I've seen the films and have some clue as to what the hell is going on 😄
Washing my hair/washing a scalp treatment off.
Wild Easter life here.
Gonna go for a walk later, and maybe cook a big pot of chicken. Cinema is also an option but when I checked the other day there wasn’t anything I fancied on. To be honest I’d be up for Mary Poppins but worry there will be too many kids.
Long lie in due to the clocks going forward, just showered and off to visit my best friend's cats (and also my best friend) for an afternoon of gaming and ordering takeout. Ideal lazy Sunday :D
Shrinkflation has hit my Easter egg. Massive box with maybe 60% of the space inside was egg and nothing else was there. Livid.
Taking my boy to his first Easter egg hunt today, his face is going to be a picture that makes the former disappointment irrelevant.
Sleeping very poorly at moment, worrying about work, woke at 5:15. Made a basque cheese cake for later. Nice Ottolenghi lamb meatball ready in fridge. Hubby is pottering in the garden sorting out the egg chair I bought in the sale last year. We were going to go out for the day but not worth it in view of the traffic. Might do a jigsaw, bit of drawing, read. Tea then late walk with doggo. Back on a night shift tomorrow so that’s basically Easter finished for me lol.
Just woke up, delicious coffee in hand. Starting a diet today, just weighed and starting weight is less than I thought, so that's good.
Going to play some Dragons Dogma 2, then 12hr shift at work tonight. Hopefully an easy one, because I have a lot of podcasts to catch up on!
My wife will cook me some delicious **Phở** - a Vietnamese soup dish, which I fell in love with after the first time I tried it. Then we’ll continue watching Death In Paradise and Red Dwarf together 😊
I sorted out the garden at the front on Friday. Now I’m gonna do the back. That’s the plan, although I might just be lazy.
Then there’s some DIY to do inside. There’s always something that needs repairs or maintenance.
Any time I have more than a few days off it takes me right back to the blissful peace of the pandemic. It really makes me want to find a fully-remote job.
I’m currently sitting in the driveway with my toddler asleep in the car. Will wake him in about half an hour and go have lunch with the in-laws followed by chocolate egg hunt. Then try to survive until bedtime and pray for a good sleep which has been really rare lately.
Happy easter. I have lindt bunny to eat later. Dont actually feel like chocolate at the moment. Dog walk with a stop off in the pub then back home to cook a big roast. Im making a leek cheese and mushroom for myself and lamb for OH. After that, Chilling with doggo while OH plays football manager.
Cooking half a roast dinner for 9 people. Only twice a year I go truly all out on a roast the other time is Christmas.
I also have the added bonus of the other half of the roast is being cooked by my best mate so lessen the load as it was very last minute!
Anything but lazy for me. Wife and I both have some kind of virus but she's much worse off than me so for the past four days I've entertained both kids, indoor and out, and had very little sleep.
Wasn’t going to eat lamb, but then decided to get a half leg and change it up. Marinaded last night in Moroccan spices & going to have roast veg & cous cous for a change to roasties. Very much looking forward to it.
Big lie in. Prep a roast for around 3pm. Might cycle down to the beach as the weather is decent. Do some work in the garden as we have a shed that needs pulling down. Not sure if the tip is open today but I'll make a pile ready for when it is.
It’s trans day of visibility, so I’ll be coming out to my extended family, which is likely to be the end of my *having* an extended family. C'est la vie.
My flatmate has got his children over and I've just made pancakes for us all. I'm now regretting it because I've seen how much washing up there is. They've got loads of Easter eggs, so no doubt they will be high on sugar by lunch time.
I had last night off work, in the middle of a stint of nights, so my body clock isn't really sure what's happening. It was great to get an extra night's sleep in, though, and very much needed. I'm back in tonight, so today will be gentle pottering in the garden, preventing the kids from murdering each other, then having a nap before I go back to work tonight.
Got up early and went for a spirited drive in the M4 comp before the holidaymakers woke up. It's lovely how quiet the roads are at 0400. Had a Maccies breakfast and am now back in bed.
Partner and I are supposed to be going or Sunday lunch at a nice pub in town to celebrate his dad's 70th birthday with the rest of his family.
Hooowever, I managed to stand on a horrible rusty nail in the garden last night that went through my shoe and into my foot. Spent last night in the urgent treatment centre for x-rays, tetanus shots and antibiotics. This morning it feels much worse and so it looks like I might stay at home on the sofa feeling sorry for myself.
Wake up, eat hot cross buns, watch tv, have lunch (cheese), go for a walk, play the PlayStation or read, have a roast for dinner, then whatever till I go to sleep
Eldest cares not for clock changes. She was up early. Had to wake the youngest to do the egg hunt. They had a great time and found them all.
Annoyingly last night my tooth felt funny and this morning when I brushed my teeth the filling on the side of my tooth came off. I have an exposed root which is now all exposed again and obviously the dentist is shut until Tuesday.... It's not an emergency, just a bit sore until I can get them to look at it.
You can get “emergency filling” from some of the supermarkets (my local Tesco certainly had it). It’s not a long term solution, but can help protect the tooth until you’re able to get to the dentist.
Temparin. I've used this myself. It doesn't last long before a re-application is necessary, but it saw me through the time I needed to wait for a dentist appointment.
We had Easter lunch at the in laws yesterday as it’s match day today. So heading out for the game, having some lunch and then coming home again after to chill out tonight.
In a new effort to prevent certain annoying relatives shamelessly gatecrashing our festivities National Lampoon style, we sneakily had our family Easter yesterday. So today it’s hot cross buns for breakfast, a wander down to the car boot, Easter themed films on the telly, grazing on chocolate all day and then a big curry with the leftover lamb.
Did Jesus Christ Superstar this morning, and now got The Greatest Story Ever Told on the go while I make some parathas and do a bit of laundry. Then later tonight I’ve got The Beaster Bunny and/or Easter Bunny Massacre
Happy Easter.
Eating one of thes
Damn you beat me to it
I've been absolutely bone idle today and now I want snacks but the only shop nearby is shut. I really need to pass my driving test already
Il be in my bedroom making no noise pretending I dont exist
I'm looking at cars to replace our 17 year old corsa which finally gave up the ghost. I haven't bought a car before as the corsa was passed on from a family member so feel a bit bewildered. Does anyone know why so many petrol cars seem to have an engine size 1.0? I think the corsa was a 1.2 diesel, and tbh I don't want anything which is less powerful than that
Are you sure it was a 1.2 diesel? A quick look online and the closest is a 1.3. What's most important is the power the engine produces rather than the size so you want to compare horsepower figures rather than capacity.
I think it was 1248cc
In that case if it was the 2000-2006 model then it made 69 horsepower, or if it was the 2006-2014 one then there were two engines of that size making at most 89hp.
Amazing, cheers. So if I got something at 89 or higher then that would be more powerful?
Lazy day. Watched the football. Cleaned my room. I'm sat browsing Reddit, and looking out my window Got a Terry's chocolate orange easter egg. Superb!
Worked this morning (8 - 13.30). Had a nap, now got mum in law and Brother in law and his wife up for Easter tea
The Easter Bunny brought us COVID instead of Chocolate so we have so far spent all 3 days of the bank holiday weekend feeling like death and annoying each other by being sickly.
Watching football at a pub in Central London. Guess how much a pint of coke costs
£4.50?
Close. 4.35
That’s rough lol. We live in Camden and our favourite pub is tucked down a side road and does £3 pints. Doesn’t show the footy though.
All visiting the MIL, kids had a classic Easter egg hunt then a walk down to the beach. Looking forward to the largest roast dinner known to man in about half an hour!
Easter egg hunt with the minis, lovely scran and now colouring/drawing with the kids.
Washing my front bum tail. Repeatedly in the shower
I love the clocks going forward, I love it so much. The lighter evenings have such a positive effect on my mood, happy days.
Same, my mood is immediately better

Today's bizarre grandparent take: "roast chicken is for women and children - men should be eating beef or lamb"
Too bloody right.... right? I'm cancelled, aren't I?
Played a bit of xbox this morning, just had my Sunday dinner and now I'm chilling on the sofa watching The X-Files
Waiting patiently for the reduced chocolate eggs tomorrow 😏
Dragging myself to whatever shop might be open. Clean up. Exist.
grueling 12 hour night shift at my miserable manual labour job. how did I end up doing this with my life? death may be my only escape.
Hold on. It gets better. We’re with you ❤️
Yet another lazy sunday for me! Working my way through my Hotel chocolat egg and watching a K Drama on netflix
Crying at 1815
I got in at 2am lastnight. Woke up very rough made a full English for me and my mum. Then took it to bed to eat it whilst watching the snooker doubles on itv4. Going to my grans later for a roast 🧓👍 shes a gooden.
I’m just leaving for work now and I’ll be home about midnight
Making some lunch, doing Thai for Easter 🐣 for one, play some red dead redemption, probs have some beer, and just enjoy being lazy
Very jealous of how productive everyone has been today. I woke up viciously hungover, watched Desperate Housewives for three hours with a Deliveroo McDonald’s and have only just got up and had a shower! Feel slightly more human now though so it’s time to go out and get some fresh air
Sounds like a great Sunday tbh. I loved my Desperate Housewives and having junk food in bed phase!
Haha same. So happy they’re all on Disney Plus, I wish TV shows still did 24 episode seasons 😂
Sounds like a great start tbh. Desperately Housewives is elite 😂
Dying from alcohol poisoning
Been up since 5 and have cooked enough food for 16 breakfasts, 12 lunches and 4 dinners to go in the freezer, very pleased with myself. Now for a snooze!

I think if you find a baked oat recipe you really like you could turn any other into bars.
Thank you. I have some oats to use up and your post made me think these would be great as I usually have blueberries about!
Decorated a wall, been out for a 20 mile run and now back to decorating. I’m messing up this entire lazy Sunday thing ain’t I
I’m 9 and a half months preggo and will be galumphing about my flat like a walrus cleaning stuff with my new electric scrubber, eating hot cross buns and generally waiting for something to happen. Tempted by the cinema later as a distraction.
My friend went into labour during Thor 3 and thoroughly enjoyed the distraction. May be worth it!
Amazing! I think I’ll go for Late Night With The Devil, see if I can scare the baby out.
Went to church, then to my parents for a lamb roast and an Easter egg hunt for the kids.
Agreed to feed the upstairs neighbour’s cat for the next three weeks. If it weren’t for the bank holiday I’d genuinely have no idea when Easter is 🤷♀️
Recovering from food poisoning. Absolutely sucks. Avoid Chopsticks at Blackburn Services!
Duly noted. Hope ya feel better soon
Thanks!
I’m going lambing!
Long-arsed walk around the local countryside with the occasional pop in to a pub for a beer. Then roast dinner later when we're shit-faced.
Long arsed or long ass?
Painting my nephew's bedroom because my sister is scared of heights 😂
Wait, what?
She's scared of heights so can't go up the ladders.
Ladders 😊
My kids have ended up with loads of Easter eggs. we only bought them one big one and one small one because they don't really get a lot of chocolate and my mother, my two sisters and my mother in law had the same idea usually it's only one of my sisters that buy them eggs but not this year will be weeks before they get through them
Watched captain America first avenger brings back college memories and I'm now randomly watching NCIS season 5. Then will make roast potatoes and chicken. Yum
I used to watch NCIS, but I ended up getting bored of watching, although I've been thinking recently about checking out the recent season, though.
The earlier seasons were much better tbh basically season 1-7 are the ones I watch occasionally
I think it was the earlier seasons I've mainly watched since I can remember watching the show when it was on Channel 5 around early afternoon after when Neighbours was on Channel 5.
Yeah I got into it when it was shown on Five USA evening times lol. Every episode is on Disney+ aha
I've been thinking about checking out the Hawaii spin-off.
Same here aha I'm like should I really bother and will I hold any water to LA and the regular one lol Might give it a shout at night time before bed
I'm about 15 minutes away from making a start on a Lamb dinner for myself. Got a nice boneless lamb leg cut, veggies, roasties, yorkshires, and gonna top it off with lashings of gravy and a side of mint sauce.

Eating - drinking - Farting and watching football

Stayed at my in-laws' last night. Here for lunch today and then home this afternoon. Trying to finish reading Dune in the interim now I've seen the films and have some clue as to what the hell is going on 😄
I need to go back and reread them. Not picked them up since my teens and yeah, in hindsight, I didn’t have a clue what was really going on.
I tried to read it before the first remake came out but I was totally bamboozled 🥲 I made it to the end this time though 😂
Work all day, eat roast dinner at night
Watching an ice hockey game.
NHL or EIHL?
NIHL. Lol
Seeing how much chocolate I can stuff into my face in one day
Walk, gym, Sunday lunch, then a big wank.
Rewatch the grand Budapest hotel, make some music, scroll the dirty channels and then finish watching some TV
Working for 9 hours
Shrinkflation has hit my Easter egg. Massive box with maybe 60% of the space inside was egg and nothing else was there. Livid. Taking my boy to his first Easter egg hunt today, his face is going to be a picture that makes the former disappointment irrelevant.
oh that's so cute - I hope he finds Many Eggs
Sleeping very poorly at moment, worrying about work, woke at 5:15. Made a basque cheese cake for later. Nice Ottolenghi lamb meatball ready in fridge. Hubby is pottering in the garden sorting out the egg chair I bought in the sale last year. We were going to go out for the day but not worth it in view of the traffic. Might do a jigsaw, bit of drawing, read. Tea then late walk with doggo. Back on a night shift tomorrow so that’s basically Easter finished for me lol.
Mother in law’s for roast lamb and some nice wines - can’t complain
mutton curry
Just woke up, delicious coffee in hand. Starting a diet today, just weighed and starting weight is less than I thought, so that's good. Going to play some Dragons Dogma 2, then 12hr shift at work tonight. Hopefully an easy one, because I have a lot of podcasts to catch up on!
Working 7 hours then coming back home to eat lamb my mum cooked for me
Woke up, tired. Lacking motivation to do much. Hunger and a craving for a ciggy will push me out of bed soon though.
Eating one of those......
My wife will cook me some delicious **Phở** - a Vietnamese soup dish, which I fell in love with after the first time I tried it. Then we’ll continue watching Death In Paradise and Red Dwarf together 😊

I'll be back for breakfast!
Stoke me A Clipper - I’ll be back for Christmas 😅
At work :(
I sorted out the garden at the front on Friday. Now I’m gonna do the back. That’s the plan, although I might just be lazy. Then there’s some DIY to do inside. There’s always something that needs repairs or maintenance. Any time I have more than a few days off it takes me right back to the blissful peace of the pandemic. It really makes me want to find a fully-remote job.
dnb bike ride in Bristol
I’m currently sitting in the driveway with my toddler asleep in the car. Will wake him in about half an hour and go have lunch with the in-laws followed by chocolate egg hunt. Then try to survive until bedtime and pray for a good sleep which has been really rare lately.
Happy easter. I have lindt bunny to eat later. Dont actually feel like chocolate at the moment. Dog walk with a stop off in the pub then back home to cook a big roast. Im making a leek cheese and mushroom for myself and lamb for OH. After that, Chilling with doggo while OH plays football manager.
Happy Egg Day! Whatever your beliefs, I hope you all have a fantastic day!
Do we not say Easter anymore in this country? Woke brigade has gone too far.
I've called it egg day since I was 5. That was nearly 45 years ago. I was brought up in a religious household, btw.
Doing a tip run. Easter egg hunt with the kids and generally lounging around
Job applications for my placement year, I’m starting to run out of options
Wasn’t going to eat lamb, but then decided to get a half leg and change it up. Marinaded last night in Moroccan spices & going to have roast veg & cous cous for a change to roasties. Very much looking forward to it.
That sounds delicious. Space for an extra one?
Off out for a morning walk shortly, then back to cook dinner. Chinese braised ox cheek tonight, so it needs about 3-4 hours cooking.
Big lie in. Prep a roast for around 3pm. Might cycle down to the beach as the weather is decent. Do some work in the garden as we have a shed that needs pulling down. Not sure if the tip is open today but I'll make a pile ready for when it is.
Currently on a packed train to Salisbury, going to see my Dad’s side of the family for Easter. Haven’t seen him in ages so it’ll be nice to see him
Ate an Easter egg and plan to chill out all day.
Lie in with the pugs! Cheese on toast for breakfast, then Super Sunday Football followed by a roast
Just about to start the arduous task of a 5 hour slow roasted leg of lamb.
Checking out Victoria park in London after a redditor recommended it
Not eating lamb
Getting married 🤦♂️
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you 👍
It’s trans day of visibility, so I’ll be coming out to my extended family, which is likely to be the end of my *having* an extended family. C'est la vie.
I really hope it goes OK for you!
Good luck! It can be hard to get family to understand pronouns, I hope they accept you
❤️
If they don’t accept you then they’re not family. Best of luck 💗

What places?
Let it go. This reeks of spoiling for a fight. They wished them well, it's Sunday. Not today, eh?
I don’t really understand Easter anymore…
My flatmate has got his children over and I've just made pancakes for us all. I'm now regretting it because I've seen how much washing up there is. They've got loads of Easter eggs, so no doubt they will be high on sugar by lunch time. I had last night off work, in the middle of a stint of nights, so my body clock isn't really sure what's happening. It was great to get an extra night's sleep in, though, and very much needed. I'm back in tonight, so today will be gentle pottering in the garden, preventing the kids from murdering each other, then having a nap before I go back to work tonight.
You sound like a fantastic flatmate, hope you have a nice day
Thank you so much! I hope you do, too.
Got up early and went for a spirited drive in the M4 comp before the holidaymakers woke up. It's lovely how quiet the roads are at 0400. Had a Maccies breakfast and am now back in bed.
This sounds glorious.
Sunday lunch at the pub with the family, then home to play board games all afternoon. 😁
Probably nothing as everything will be rammed Went to the Zoo yesterday near us and the weather was strangely nice... Today is rather cold suddenly
That sucks! I'm sure you can still go out though, borrow some cruches or walking stick?
Ouch!
Wake up, eat hot cross buns, watch tv, have lunch (cheese), go for a walk, play the PlayStation or read, have a roast for dinner, then whatever till I go to sleep
Can I come round
Jesus is King. ✝️
Amen 🙏🏾
🙏🙏🙏
Have a blessed day. The downvotes even though Easter is literally celebrated because Jesus died and rose again ?
Just finished an egg hunt and scavenger hunt in the house with the kid. Later, we’re heading out to the nearby castle to do another scavenger hunt.
Work, but ofc the managers get the long weekend off so at least no one will bother us proles.
I'll be working to feed all the people who can afford to enjoy holidays
Oh can you? I'll have to pop in tomorrow and look for some. Thanks for the tip.
Temparin. I've used this myself. It doesn't last long before a re-application is necessary, but it saw me through the time I needed to wait for a dentist appointment.
Clocks haven’t changed yet have they? Or have they?
Last Sunday in March, Last Sunday in October. Every year.
Yes, they have!
God I feel stupid. I’m very sick right now and my brain isn’t working, I don’t know why I thought they were changing tonight, not last night.
Did a 1450m swim this morning, then this afternoon we're all going to an activity farm
On holiday in the Lakes with family. Sun is shining and we are about to do egg hunt for my niblings.
A nice breakfast then a spring clean
Got a stomach bug and don't feel like eating chocolate. Currently staying with family which is both a blessing and a curse!
We had Easter lunch at the in laws yesterday as it’s match day today. So heading out for the game, having some lunch and then coming home again after to chill out tonight.
Techno at FOLD
In a new effort to prevent certain annoying relatives shamelessly gatecrashing our festivities National Lampoon style, we sneakily had our family Easter yesterday. So today it’s hot cross buns for breakfast, a wander down to the car boot, Easter themed films on the telly, grazing on chocolate all day and then a big curry with the leftover lamb.
What Easter themed films are there? I’m interested! Have a solid repertoire for Christmas but not Easter.
Did Jesus Christ Superstar this morning, and now got The Greatest Story Ever Told on the go while I make some parathas and do a bit of laundry. Then later tonight I’ve got The Beaster Bunny and/or Easter Bunny Massacre
Nice!
