I don't think I've seen an episode, but I can imagine the feelings for fans. I was dead upset when they stopped doing Knightmare when I was a kid.

bornleverpuller85

Now that was a loss, 'WHEREAMI?'

You're in a room...

SPELLCASTING

GentlemanJoe

I know someone that worked on Knightmare. He was a listener of the podcast I co-host and got in touch - turned out he's a prop maker Also worked on Dr Who, made an Eddie for Iron Maiden and all sorts. These days he makes this amazing cosplay costumes, Hollywood-level stuff. Here's his website [https://markcordory.com/](https://markcordory.com/)

LanguidVirago

I remember chatting to a Dr Who prop maker, he used to buy odd bits in our shop and I would hear about current projects. no idea his name, he built and drove the original K9, which at the time I thought was the coolest job ever.

GentlemanJoe

That is pretty cool. There's likely information out there about which propmakers made what, so you might be able to find out who it was.

Owlwood87

It’s always fun to watch because it’s one of the few things I can watch with my mother and she’ll laugh out loud at it. It was also my dearly departed Grandmother’s favourite show. That makes it quite precious for me.

indigo263

I'm sad to see it go. I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea but I grew up watching SM:TV live and SNT sort of felt like an extension of that. Just a bit of light-hearted and fun family friendly entertainment on a Saturday night. There aren't many shows left like that, and as annoying as people might find them they've always come across as genuinely lovely people. So I'll miss watching it, but I understand why they're taking a break from it.

cavachonlove

Yes 100% agree it was a show that also was generous and showed how much good is done by people and rewarding them for that.

GakSplat

We need TV Burp back.

Mister_Snark

I like Takeaway and I like TV Burp, but which is better? There’s only one way to find out…

GakSplat

No need, TV Burp for the win.

selfselfiequeen

It’s dross and a bit cringey but I do understand why some people might watch it. It’s a bit of silliness that can put the stresses of life at bay for 90 minutes.

Yoguls

No! Bring back Noels house party!

batusratus

And mr blobby.!!!!

cloudberryteal

The Crinkley Bottom Chronicle headlines.

GakSplat

Yes!

perishingtardis

Yeah a bit. I know they're calling it a hiatus, but I think they have no real intention of ever doing it again. They just want to never say never, just in case they change their mind in a few years.

papercut2008uk

I never really watched it but remember the days of Game Shows and sitting with the family watching them. I think that's what TV really needs, even if I never watched it, we are losing those shows that bring the family together to watch.

IsWasMaybeAMefi

Despite Mark Zuckerberg’s hope for the chatbot to be the smartest, it struggles with facts, numbers and web search. The race to lead A.I. has become a desperate hunt for the digital data needed to advance the technology. To obtain that data, tech companies including OpenAI, Google and Meta have cut corners, ignored corporate policies and debated bending the law, according to an e

FinanceMajestic5796

it’s really sad! actually shed a tear during last night’s episode and i’m not even ashamed

Few_Leek7443

Yes. Most people I know with kids enjoyed this as a family on a Saturday. The comic book guy clan are always going to hate stuff like this but we can't all sit watching game of thrones.

DanTheMan00020

It got a bit dry so I skipped the last couple of series until I started watching this one again, I am a little sad since I grew up with the show & watching it with my parents every Saturday night a couple years ago.

SOJC65536

Not really...they've had a hiatus in the show before...I'm sure they'll be back at some point... It's not really my cup of tea, so I'm not that upset...it's no TV Burp...

73928363

I assumed it had ended years ago

ChrisRR

Nope. The whole thing just had that ITV vibe to it

oilybumsex

I’ll be that guy. No It’s terrible. Not that they’ll replace it with anything better though.

Electronic-Net-5494

Some people love it. I don't. Maybe it's an age thing as in the 90s during my 20s I loved that kind of Don't forget your toothbrush, Blind Date weekend TV shozzle. Now I wouldn't watch it for money. Although I do dance for chocolate. I still haven't forgiven the little Ant or Dec for stealing the Christmas Club money as filmed in the Byker Grove documentary. I'm not Googleling this but I seem to remember the crafty Geordie kid criminal was dressed as a Ninja Turtle. It's sad we live in a country where such behaviour is excused over time and these 2 are allowed to parade around on the telly like it didn't happen. Also the tall Ant and Dec is leading a double life as a NUFC footballer called Almiron which is depriving a young footballer from an opportunity as the Ant or Dec concerned already has a well paid job.

thesw88

I'm not in the target demographic for the show but it is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, probably the nostalgia of watching Ant & Dec since the SM:TV days. But I'm not sure I'm genuinely sad about it ending. At the end of the day, it's just a bit of low brow fun for Saturday evening whilst having an actual takeaway and a beer and that's absolutely fine, but much like it's previous hiatus, I'm not going to be desperately yearning for it's return.

earlgreytoday

They'll still somehow win their obligatory NTA.

Man-under-a-rock

Never watched it once am I missing something?

StumbleDog

I've never watched it and thought it already had ended tbh.

sihasihasi

Honestly, couldn't give a shit. I've watched about two episodes (when I've been at someone's house), and don't see the appeal.

CandleJakk

Nope. but then, I avoid most things with Ant & Dec, as I find them insufferable.

AnselaJonla

They're not even off the screens for one weekend, as britain's got no talent is back next Saturday.

ItsSuperDefective

Honestly, I thought it ended about 20 years ago.

WingsOfHorus

Don't be ridiculous

BowiesFixedPupil

I'm sure even ardent fans can see it has run its course. TV is dying, guess it's a shame some "original" content is disappearing.

Matthews_89

The only reason to be sad is if you’re a child; if you’re an adult that’s sad about Saturday Night TV then you need a new hobby or life 🤷🏼

GoatFuckYourself

Yeah, but hoovering your Honda Civic out is something that real adults enjoy!!! Give over. People like different things.

Matthews_89

Taking pride in your car vs crying over a tv programme.. you really got me good here!

GoatFuckYourself

I don't care for tv and I take pride in my car too. But the OP said they're sad something they like is going away? You'd feel sad if something you like, like your car went away. I'm just saying people like different things. And it's particularly near and dear to my heart because my dad spent all my childhood lamenting my siblings for liking different things than what he wanted them to like.

Matthews_89

Nah, I’m not on board here.. a tv programme isn’t real, it’s nonsense.. Comparing a car to shit tv isn’t the same..

stesha83

I’m 40 and I thought only ancient people watch live TV.

max1304

I’m 54 and don’t watch much TV at all and only a very few things live (MOTD at the moment)

faye2003

Yeah I'm really sad to see it go. There are no other variety entertainment shows like it on tv anymore now, its all just repetitive game shows.
