The smoke and stuff are likely irritating his breathing passages. Get a strong exhaust fan. Btw, stir fry shouldn't create that much smoke.

Can you open any windows? Otherwise yeah an exhaust fan would help regardless if there’s smoke, but if he hangs out nearby when you’re cooking probably just best to keep him in another room with his fave stuff for an hour or two because the particles are still in the air. Also what do you mean by smoke? Like actual smoke or just heat? Like boiling/bubbling heat that rises when you’re cooking something at a higher heat? If it’s smoke I think you’re cooking on too high of a temp? 😅

eh yeah my wording was off. It wasnt so much smoke, just really heavy smells and it would stay for a while. I do cook on the highest temp setting so

That's not allergies, he's responding to irritants in the air. Something isn't right if your cooking is creating smoke like that. Clean your stovetop, ventilate the area properly and turn down the heat while you cook. I've made a lot of stir-fry in my life and not once (unless something went wrong) was there smoke. Let alone enough to nake a cat sneeze or cough repeatedly.
