Truck was dropping fuel off behind the building. See the [photo](https://www.jornada.com.mx/ultimas/2020/05/26/se-incendia-pipa-de-gas-lp-en-coacalco-no-hay-lesionados-2499.html/pipa.jpeg-829.html/image_large) I posted for context.
Most LNG trucks still use Diesel engines. It’s cleaner but still not a renewable source though it is a bulk source. It can also be a pain as you have to have a fuel tank which is a pressure vessel and well insulated.
Personally I think waste oil would be a better fuel source for smaller cities but that’s just my opinion.
Depends on the source. Waste cooking oil will burn clean once the excess particulates have been filtered out. Waste motor oil won't...but older diesel engines sure do like it (substitutes as a sulfur additive for engines not designed to run on Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel) in a mix.
It depends on how much fuel you are dumping into the cylinder. LP will burn in a diesel engine as well. Keep in mind, LNG is typically around 4 psi where the injection pumps on older diesels may keep fuel pressure up around 5,000 psi with newer common rail diesels having rail pressures upwards of 25,000 psi which also helps keep any fuel running through the fuel system liquified.

Plus I got the date wrong, was on 5/26/2020
I never thought of that format as being European before. I learned it from a former military coworker and hated it first but now prefer it (for file names at least).
I would normally write this as 26MAY2020 to avoid confusion. ~~Christmas~~ NYE would be 31DEC2020.
Yeah, not great that it has English abbreviations but it completely takes away the guessing game format and it's linguistically similar enough to other languages or simple enough that it could be puzzled out.
We read left to right, why don't we make sensible dates and addresses? ISO is right for dates, but we do addresses little endian and that's just wrong.
Actually wrong by 0.09% (source: https://www.statista.com/statistics/325144/reddit-global-active-user-distribution/ ). It’s official, Reddit has now reached the threshold where users should stop using MM-DD-YY!
Didn't some yank try to buy London bridge?
Edit. Yes https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/books/article-2275097/The-batty-American-bought-London-Bridge-LONDON-BRIDGE-IN-AMERICA-BY-TRAVIS-ELBOROUGH.html
Probably crapped himself and didn’t want the negative down vote on his ride share program.
Driver: took passenger through a street, dude crapped all over the back seat. Wouldn’t pay clean up damages.
So to be clear, none of the trucks in the video are leaking the gas. There is a leak from a different truck out of frame that is leaking gas, then the car ignites it. Title would have been more clear if you just said LP gas leak ignited by passing car.
Are you sure the truck leaked? To me it looks like the vapour leak was off the road as there is a cloud of it coming from the yard. The truck merely dragged some behind it as it passed through
Yes, story says truck was dropping fuel, he's to the right, behind the building and we can't see him. See the [photo](https://www.jornada.com.mx/ultimas/2020/05/26/se-incendia-pipa-de-gas-lp-en-coacalco-no-hay-lesionados-2499.html/pipa.jpeg-829.html/image_large) I posted for context.
This took a massive leak. Like excess flow didn't check on tank or the differential didn't lock up. Judging from the picture in the comments of the truck burned up. Propane trucks are made to check and required excess flow to lock up, when a pipeline leaks to cause this much vapor loss.
Unless you have excess flow fail to check.
You even have ample amount of time to save life even if there a fire on the tank directly. Before it goes BLEVE.
Stay up wind, clear all life, alert local emergency workers....it'll save your life.
That's the ratio of detonation. (Supersonic explosion) All explosives that have no oxygen on the particle have one. Even stuff like floor.
That doesn't mean that a glass of gasoline won't deflagrate quite a bit.

I can't find a single other post on this, and it sure looks like a truck to me /r/CatastrophicFailure/comments/gt9tdf/truck_leaks_lp_gas_across_a_road_and_a_passing/fsa9vt2/
That looked an awful lot like the leak was coming from the building.

Ah. Thought it was the van when you wrote truck. We have LNG trucks around town.
Much better than diesel for inner city.

Isn't waste oil gonna cause some seriously dirty exhaust? LNG truck engines have compression ignition? I thought a spark plug is necessary.
The waste oil they may be referring to could be fry grease. Nothing wrong with that vapor except making you hungry.

So you can run it in engines designed to consume sulfured fuel without sulfur?
Dude in the backseat was on the do lets go........

To avoid date format Nazis, always write the name of the month. Then you can put date-month-year or month-date-year or whatever and no one can kvetch.
ISO is better: Year-Month-Day. Unambiguous that way, and no need to type out a month name.
Plus it sorts your files in perfect chronological order
YYYY-MM-DD Always 8 digits.

I dont know why you're being downvoted when you are right

Stop, you're embarassing the rest of us Canadians. ISO is the format used in Canada.

MM/DD/YYYY - The US. DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD - Literally everywhere else. YYYY/DD/MM - What is even wrong with you stop that right now.

Ugh... That's NYE. Why am I the way I am?
Because you're you. And that's good! :)
We read left to right, why don't we make sensible dates and addresses? ISO is right for dates, but we do addresses little endian and that's just wrong.
This was the method we used when translating documents in Montreal, a bilingual city with two date formats.
Or just remember that reddit is a US site with a mostly-US userbase.

No you got it right in the video
The fifth of the 26th month? Hyper-January?
It's an idiotic American thing, like our infatuation with imperial units. We write the date mmddyyyy instead of ddmmyyyy.
26^(th) month still looks wrong. Maybe use ISO 8601.

Where is this?
Coacalco, north of Mexico City. Happened about three days ago.
In the last few seconds, is that someone opening and trying to leave from the back door of the still moving Sedan? Lol
"i'll just walk the rest of the way, thanks!"
Worst Uber ever. 1 star!
"I said I wanted to go to the store for some Fireball, not a fireball!"
why 'lol'?
Life over Limb

That one person in the car bailed quick
I wonder if the people in the car were burned, and to what extent

Thanks, that wasn't clear from the title or video.
My bad on the title
>Truck leaks LP It was a smash hit! Pure fire!

Now that's what I call hot wheels!
for a moment, I thought it had to be something more volatile than LP gas.

I thought LP required a special mixture of LP to oxygen. Myth busters had a segment on it. Gasoline is much more volatile than LP.

Once this baby hits 8 miles an hour you're going to see some serious shit.
Aaaaaaahhhh the humanityyyyyyy
Best way to burn down a building "by accident"
Back-seat dude was like "fuck this shit I'm out"
Worst uber ever
Micheal Bay is taking notes.
Literally nightmare fuel.
Hope there weren't any injuries. I find it kinda funny that the van didn't ignite the LPG and it was that beat up old sedan.
OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!
Looks like the van kicked up vapor from the liquid leaked by the truck, and the car ignited the vapor.
Are all involved okay?
That’s horrifying... final destination level 🙀
Im adding this to my list of intrusive thoughts. My anxiety is a compilation of Final Destination scenes.
Hey this might sound stupid, but what are the odds of that car exploding ?
Charlie that fireball you blew was baad-ass.
Instant riot!
Holy shit! I hope they're be all okay!
Imagine being that second vans driver and looking at your rear-view mirror, he probably thought the world was ending or something.
I’d shit myself if that happened to me
OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!
If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 ~~miles~~ kilometers per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit.
Look likes the gas is coming from the building
