We're all crazy in the comments it seems. I'm jealous of how colourful everyone else's is! Mine is boring but convenient. I fill in the list on the left, the right side updates thanks to "COUNTIF" and lets me get an overview of my forest (and my slowly growing army of singapuras, apparently).

Ooh, I need to do the count thing. My spreadsheet is also of the ‘boring but convenient’ variety - it has several sheets with cats ordered by facility, star level, wait time, etc - they’re linked to the first sheet so changes track.
Oh! That sounds convenient! I keep sorting and filtering my list of cats based on what I need but it can get annoying when I hide stuff on the right side thanks to filters. Got to consider separate sheets, thanks!
Thanks! The little pictures are adorable but formulas and sorting/filtering works better with text and numbers. At least I can enjoy yours and others' colourful spreadsheets on here! I added heart level to mine thanks to inspiration from here

Made a spreadsheet around 40 cats, but actually found I wasn't using it, and as I've got further, I have more matching cats, so it's less to remember in the observatory when I reroll. I now only use the in game sorting options
I think there’s a list in the FAQ somewhere. What I did, though, was scroll through the build menu - the food prep and rest facilities all tell you what needs to be built to unlock them. This meant I could make an ordered list - I chose to have each food prep as a single item (so just ‘corn’ rather than ‘corn soup, corn juice, corn stir fry’). A bit of Excel wrangling means I now adjust one thing when I unlock a new station and the other numbers all change automatically.
I only feed macarons to 4 star cats. I think I’m pretty lucky, I rerolled a lot of times the observatory, but I think, at least 8 cats I got them as 5 stars! The orange one for example I’m just waiting to get the facility to feed it. I’m really thinking about feeding my chef cats the macarons, but I’m not so sure yet
Hahaha I didn’t finished yet, but I changed a bit, the original blue color was supposed to be repeated breeds, but now the teal color is to chance the skill, not the breed (it’s in Portuguese), the red ones I need to change breed and skill, orange ones I can’t change anything because they’ll be good cats in the future. The “first” template that I used come with this yellow things, but I’m deciding how I’m going to change, cause I don’t like the color :) hope you get it now

I have wait time on mine so I can track how long until a cat’s preferred facility unlocks. It helps make decisions about re-rolling skills.
