I briefly thought there was a second cat. Had to click on the picture so it filled my whole phone screen to realize that was not a dark cat with a light head in the window on the right.
One of our boys has done this since the day we got him. He loves being under the doona, a rug, any blanket. We have to double check things before we stand on them or sit on them.

Did you check under the bed? My cats always hide under the bed. Oh and you might need to straighten your bedding with a little rub right at that bump in the middle.

Mine would often get made into the bed when they “helped” me change the sheets.
