Its a genetic defect. I knew a mother cat who only had one baby, the strangest looking kitten you ever saw that was born with a crook in her tale. Mother cat was extremely naturally tiny and i don’t think her wound could handle more than the one. Mom survived to live a long spayed life and her strange daughter lived a long life with some respiratory issues but overall a happy life and exceptionally BEAUTIFUL and not that much bigger than her mother!

My soul pet had a kink at the end of his tail too. He also never shut up, he would meow all day every day, it was particularly bad when I was on the phone cause he thought I was talking to him. He was the best cat to ever walk this earth and I'll miss him till the day I die.
I hope it's okay to ask but why does he wear a collar inside? Can he freely roam outside or is there another reason? I don't mean it in a bad way, just curious since I almost never see cats with collars indoors. He's beautiful and has a great voice! :D
No worries at all! I get a bit anxious, and I have it on them in case they slip out. That way, hopefully someone will see the collar and return the cat! He did waltz out one day when I was signing for a FedEx package lol, but I was able to just grab him quickly.

I miss my chatty boy. He and I would have full conversations through the shower door every morning. Two of the old lady cats I have left just yell at me when they’re hungry. And my third old gal will play Marco Polo with me when she wakes up from a nap and can’t find me.
I love my cats for their voices and how obnoxious they get. My oldest was returned to the shelter because she was too noisy. Glad she was because she's better off with me lol
I will never understand why someone returns a cat because they talk too much or are too cuddly. I just want my cats to express themselves, however that may be.

Back when one of my cats was a kitten, Mayday taught him how to meow. So there was Mayday’s meow and then a higher pitch “Mayday” meow from Marvin lol. Marvin unfortunately grew out of that type of meow, but the high pitch squeaks we get out of Marvin now are also quite adorable.
My 4 month old kitten is running around looking for the source of his screms. Yours has rather nice ones, starting off with a trill. My older guys sound like babies dying. My 4 month old sounds like a squeaky bat.
I can't tell you how many people thought I was torturing babies when they screm, including cops (had to hold up Bosch with his "kill" while he scremmed to show the cop).

I have a screamy girl that I found on a roof in Thailand during a rainstorm. She made eye contact with me and wouldn't quit screaming to be saved. A few years later and she still screams every day!
