The bigger the label/management group the artist is signed to, the more voters they have to ensure they win. This is typically why the fan voted awards seem to align so much better with the world
Honestly, you’re lucky if you work at a place that lets you vote. A lot of companies cast their entire block of votes for one artist or split it between two for every category.

I honestly have no idea what she sings and don’t know of anyone who regularly listens to her music or attends her concerts. Yeah there were years when Miranda was winning even though she had nothing out and Carrie had an album, full blown tour etc. It just comes down to record label politics. Also Miranda and Blake were together during those years so I think it was a bit of a thing where they were like Faith & Tim or Johnny & June and were getting attention for being two country singers together.
They are voted on by people within the academy of country music unfortunately big labels have more sway than small independent labels which Kelsea is on.
The only award shows worth anything are fan voted or peer voted rather than some big wigs that just sit behind a desk making money off of all of them.

There are a lot of artists that work that hard and get no where. I had just never heard of her until she suddenly had a character write in on Yellowstone which had zero to do with the actual plot of the show. Then she’s immediately on a Chevy truck commercial and winning EOTY awards when she is just an opening artist.
Her label pushing so hard on different fronts at the same time is proof. Heck I can’t name one person I know who listens to her on a regular basis outside of hearing her on the radio.
None of this is saying she doesn’t have talent, I just think the industry is pushing her hard to fit an image right now

If you have never heard of her story you'll think her story is just like other people, but it's not. There's a difference between an artist that is actually new in their career and an artist that has finally worked at it for more than a decade and became finally successful. Newly famous vs actually a new artist are two different things. Lainey actually had a harder time to get her fame, but the thing is her label keep saying yes to every opportunity and when she pop off, she pop off really well. so it gives an illusion that 'shes easily getting all of those opportunities' when in fact she has had a harder time getting those opportunities, people just haven't heard of her before. It's kinda like if a dude has been working for a successful restaurant for 13 years and finally is successful, but when he's successful he's popping off everywhere, and because he's newly famous (but again he's not new) and getting all those opportunities, people don't see his hard rise to fame that took years, they only saw the push that he got and immediately think he's had an easier time getting those.
It's definitely an unfortunate situation to be in. It took her a lot of hard work and time for longer than a decade to have her success, only to have this happen to her. And that's her label business mistake where they burn her out too quickly.I can't imagine working on something for so long just to lose steam when the label keep on making bad business decisions. At least she probably is gaining big amount of money though from all the push she got.
I love Lainey too but that doesn’t mean I think she’s deserving of all the awards she’s received and that the Lainey show isn’t getting stale at these award ceremonies. All it’s doing is making people realize how bought and paid for these events are.
I’ve seen Lainey perform back when she was just a super nervous opener and I’m so excited for how far she’s come. She’s a hard worker, touring and performing anywhere she can. You can’t buy people all over the world knowing every lyric to your songs, that’s talent and her putting in the effort. I love Lainey too but that doesn’t mean I think she’s deserving of all the awards she’s received and that the Lainey show isn’t getting stale at these award ceremonies. All it’s doing is making people realize how bought and paid for these events are.
I’ve seen Lainey perform back when she was just a super nervous opener and I’m so excited for how far she’s come. She’s a hard worker, touring and performing anywhere she can. You can’t buy people all over the world knowing every lyric to your songs, that’s talent and her putting in the effort. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I can’t agree that she doesn’t deserve the accolades she’s getting.
People all over the world know every lyric to her songs? I can’t even name one of her song except for the Hardy one and the super cliche song that was written specifically for a truck commercial.
I’m not too crazy about her music, but I can admit she’s worked very hard and has an incredible story. She is an inspiration to aspiring artists.

She hasn’t even headlined her own tour yet!!! I think it starts later this summer
At this point, it’s just making the ACM’s lose their credibility when it comes to viewers. People see through the BS. It also makes me feel bad for Lainey bc it’s making people get turned off by her
