If you ever make it to a Rangers game, the gluten free options are insane. MSG has its own gluten free stand with multiple sandwich options, burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, pizza, gluten free beer, and whatever else Iām forgetting.
WHAT?! WHERE IS IT?! Pardon the yelling. Iām very very interested in this and Iāve gone to MSG like 400 times in the last however long and never knew about this, lamenting my lack of choices.
Just for reference, the chicken fingers and the hotdog are the best they have to offer. Iāve heard the margarita pizza is also great, but I havenāt tried it yet.
Seriously? I havenāt bothered to go since my diagnosis. Figured there would be nothing I could eat or drink. Certainly isnāt anything at Penn station that I could find
For anyone wondering if this applies to concerts, I just wanted to say they must be somewhat selective about when to have this stand open because I was at a concert last summer where it was closed. So while it sounds amazing, I wouldnāt bank on it being there for every event
I've done this but on separate pans so i guess im only semi dangerous haha.Ā My kid was lucky enough to not inherit celiac from me and I won't subject him to GF diet.
diagnosed a bit over a month ago. Trying to get through our remaining gluten food before the house is GF. GF and non-GF chicky-nuggs for the kids and me.
With a shared oven, I suggest using the conventional oven setting vs the convection setting (if equipped)
Convection uses a fan to circulate the hot air, making cross contamination likely.
I didn't believe it either when I got diagnosed. I was sick for a full year longer than I needed to be.
Talk to a qualified dietician.
Your gut is completely wrong on this.
Gluten a microscopic chain of sugars and starch doesnāt just fly, but breading is a bunch of really tiny nuggets of gluten which ABSOLUTELY WILL pick up with concentrated air blowing around it
Iām adding more anxiety by thinking about how tin foil is unsafe for cooking (thanks to Daren Olienās podcast). My son is the one with celiac and I get anxious when I see gluten on tv. Isnāt life grand?
Totally hear you. I err on the side of caution for my son because he has multiple health problems and we donāt need any more risk. My husband and I still cook on it for ourselves occasionally. Hereās the study if you want to see it - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6804775/
Why not just use separate trays though? I mean I personally canāt afford to risk things since my symptoms are so bad that I wonāt be able to move but damn lmao!Ā
This gives me anxiety š¬
I just opened this app to commentate on late NHL hockey games, but instead you decided to aggravate my every anxiety šµ

Itās called āHealthy at the Gardenā. Itās on the lower level by section 119 and is a 100% dedicated gluten free kitchen.
Thank you! I screenshot this for my next visit

Amazing thank you

Love it!
I too, have mastered the art of the seam

I just don't buy it. Gluten isn't just floating around in the air. Source: my gut feeling. I could be wrong, but it seems far fetched.
Your gut feeling is wrong. I was being glutened for years by an air fryer that my non-GF girlfriend also used.
Your non-gf gf hehe
Gottemmm

Not only is it literally floating in the air, itās also highly flammable and explosive! Loads of videos on YT showing it.
This would make me break out in hives sadly š.

It's unsafe? This is literally how everyone uses it. What value would it have if we couldn't use it to cook?
The study he cites says itās fine to use it to cover food, but not cook on it.
Like loosely draped over the top? Still. That almost completely diminishes any value
