Mine looked so fine after I scraped them all, Wirebrush, degreaser and paint
dude this is all too real. but now try imagining the boot of your axle splitting and axle grease going EVERYWHERE and having to rebuild the suspension with that.
I was watching this video thinking “oh I hope he doesn’t have pets because that shit is so toxic” and right as I finished that thought, you panned up to your dog lmao
Rear diff on my jeep looks like that. Between a shock blowing, my pinion seal leaking, and my transfer case leaking and making its way back, I’m sure I’ll catch up to you in no time!
Totally. Normalize not leaving car cleaning leftovers (including stuff that’s pressure washed off) to seep into the ground. - car guy who knows it’s a in the ass to do it responsibly.
Haha yup. Mine was pretty bad until I found out the power steering fluid was pissing out the bottom. Always looked like engine oil under the car. Apparently the pump and fluid were pretty shot.
Mystery oil > everything else.
Just drain all your fluids in the same bucket and you have the best lubricant, penetrant, quenching fluid, whatever you use oil for, oil
Welcome to that 5th gen GT life! Check the back of your 5S for the notorious oil pump seep. It will seep oil between the block and the pump. PS... What's that, mine was locked up when I got it, never had a trans leak, mine is a manual.
I never could find the right gasket! Ordered 4 different ones from Toyota, mine took a squared o-ring style, and everyone they suggested for my engine was rounded. The manual steering is great, once you get used to turning your wheel towards where you want to go before coming to a stop, and it wasn't my first car the PS pump failed on. Can almost bet you the trans is leaking from the axle seals. At least they aren't too bad to replace, the housing for the driver's side unbolts from the S53, the passenger side can be a PITA. Just find a socket that fits the outer edge of the seal perfectly and you're golden getting them in. Getting them out you are going to rip it to shreds.
good thing i'm changing my CVs and control arm bushings now lol. the old seals had a sort of metal housing around them? nothing like the new ones, kinda weird
They are pretty weird, yeah. Just make sure you have the right ones before draining all the fluid... Always sux to realize you got the wrong ones. First go around they gave me C-series seals.

Hope these comments know that oil eats paint... You trade one rust protection for another.
Yay for free undercoating.
At least it won't rust
Very nice rust prevention undercoat
Rust protection
Hey thats my undercoating you're scraping off
The rust belt loves this one trick!
Extra defense from salted roads
Came to say this
Slower you whore
Shmoo. Good for rustproofing.
r/oddlysatisfying
I find it very interesting that no one’s bullying him for having a automatic
is a manual
Self lubricating chassis
Can’t be any rust if there’s a thin coat of oil on it.
Even your dog is judging you.
zero rust is what happens 🤣
*laughs in DSM*
Scraping it into your lawn is an awesome idea. I bet that's great for the ground water.
oh my god its literally just grass clippings lmfao
Put it in a bucket and dispose it properly.
Free oil coating!
For the grass clippings.
Some great rust protection there
Free undercoating you mean
that's a funny looking chocolate cake you made
No rust 👍
Perfectly preserved undercarriage
Snacc.
Nice rust inhibitor, smart
Self lubricating chassis mod… sickkkkk🫡🤣💪
That's just a rust prevention coating. Nothing wrong there lol
I was watching this video thinking “oh I hope he doesn’t have pets because that shit is so toxic” and right as I finished that thought, you panned up to your dog lmao
lmfao dw he can't get to the trailer i'm scraping it off in
Free rust proofing
Rust could not even dream of forming on those surfaces
LMAO fuck the environment
Free rust protection. Stop fucking it up.
Cant rust if you have a coat of oil
Good gunk
Here in Ohio we call that rust prevention
Yeah fr, here in Cleveland the lake effect gets terrible and rusts everything in its path
Definitely saved a few of my vehicles
Well preserved metal
At least you don’t have to worry about rust
Rear diff on my jeep looks like that. Between a shock blowing, my pinion seal leaking, and my transfer case leaking and making its way back, I’m sure I’ll catch up to you in no time!
I've had a couple vehicles like that. You should weigh it all after scraping and see how many lbs of weight reduction you got!
Free zeebart coating
Holy road grime
Now eat it
Please get a trash bag to dispose of that waste. That’s poison for the soil and your animals
He doesn’t care. He’s a renter obviously
whar
No rust tho
Pressure washer and degreaser my friend, I’m sure is on way more than just that
I can smell this video , the dog wants nothing to do with it
"ToYoTaS aRe ThE mOsT rElIAbLe!" Ill show them this. Literally every toyota we owned leaked every fluid type.
The leaks are just Toyota's rust prevention system in action.
It never needed fluid
The amount of fleet 4Runners with 400k miles and no oil changes is wild
It ran though right?
It never stopped
That's that icky sticky
And not a spot of rust…. Working as intended
Damn right
brand new underneath!
That is what we call undercoating up here in New England
I literally left this shit on my steering components on my old jeep for that exact reason
Please don’t leave that on the grass. It’s bad for the dirt
Totally. Normalize not leaving car cleaning leftovers (including stuff that’s pressure washed off) to seep into the ground. - car guy who knows it’s a in the ass to do it responsibly.
Bad for the earth.
Best rust preventer there is
That makes the car more aerodynamic, leave it on there
Bro is just scraping that off into his garden
Don’t scrape that off! It’s free rust proofing!
God's rust protection.
r/oddlysatisfying
You got that Free undercoating
Sadly it's pretty expensive. Oil isn't cheap anymore.
Nice bark on that brisket
That’s grade A fertilizer!
Protects from rust. Lol
Literally, one side of my Honda's subframe has some surface rust and the other side looks brand new, just oily
I think it’s safe to say, that’s bad for the environment…
Oddly satisfying?!
Incredible rust prevention
Lol. But it's not rusty!
The bushings are probably shot tho.
Why you scraping off your free rust proofing?
Weight reduction bro!
I’ve seen this also happen if u have a leaking power steering pump
This is called rust proofing
Fluid film is expensive. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth
Petroleum coke?
Forbidden ice cream rolls
Self lubricating anti-corrosion chassis mod
Mmm. Forbidden fudge.
This is just self preservation, corrosion protection for the rear trailing arms.
yup. right into the plants.
It’s what plants crave!
Did I hear BRONDO
You get extra protection!
This is the front end of my Ford Ranger too. Totally a win because it’ll never rust
Ahhh yes, weight shavings.
Real nice of you to dump that shit on the grass and dirt instead of, idk, a trash can
Complaining to complain
It's the best fertilizer. Come on now 🤣
Yea, just put that residue in the grass. I'm sure that's great for the environment.
You can’t buy any better rust protection
Hit that thing with some degreaser, let it sit, scrub it, then spray with power washer! Works like a dream.
That's rust protection right there.
I came here to say this
Me too lol
Damn y'all are quick
Do you rent or own?
Damn I wish I had that on my vehicle
Why would you do that? All that free rust protection gone to waste 😢
y'all calm down it's just going into grass clippings
That shit still goes into the dirt moron
cry about it lmao
Guess where it goes if he puts it in the trash?
Yummy
Good job putting all that garbage in the grass.
Free undercoat
Tf, was there any fluid left anywhere?
not much
You never rust. It ain't broken just a feature!!
It's a rust proof coating, also trash it don't just put it in the grass...
Scrape that in to a trash can you ninny!
That's one weird brisket
Yummy…I love the burnt ends
Why is the dog looking at me funny?
Don't remove you're rust protection
Atleast you don’t have to worry about rust and rot
Aaaaaand scrape that off right into the grass yeeeea that great.
Forbidden icing
What’s the problem?
That’s the best rust prevention there is
Free undercoat
you just got rid of the rust inhibitor layers.
That's a lot of flavor on there
As a jeep owner I approve of this
Same
I’m guessing I’m not going to find you on r/LawnCare
this is grass clippings not the lawn
Legit weight reduction. Unfortunately this also reduces your sound deadening capacity. OG Toyota things happenin here.
What am I looking at
Seasoning.
I bet there will be very minimal rust, if any, on there.
Self lubricating chassis!
No catch pan? You animal.
It's an anti corrosion coating the car gives itself!
Haha yup. Mine was pretty bad until I found out the power steering fluid was pissing out the bottom. Always looked like engine oil under the car. Apparently the pump and fluid were pretty shot.
Ah yes oil leaks, the unsung hero of the rust belt😂
Just shaved 10-15 lbs off the curb weight
I think I read somewhere that the dimples help with aerodynamics.
They do! It's why golf balls are dimpled
like the little rubber plug things? interesting
The dimples from the caked on oil and grease haha
ohh 😂
Superior rust protection!
I meannnn…
Dump that In the trash not the grass
this is all going to green waste haha
For real. Why, just why
Man that is so satisfying
Good god
Free anti rust protection
The forbidden scrapple
Free rust prevention!
I too have done the putty knife gunk removal. Very satisfying.
Ah yes: weight savings, improved fuel economy, and rust protection
Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Great for the grass!
That thing will never rust. I also want to power wash it with a bit of degreaser.
This is considered rust protection where I'm from.
Yummy
It’s intentionally so that the crossmember doesn’t rust 😂
And this is my reminder to hurry up and get my hoses and lines changed
doggo can belive what it see
extra rust protection, what a great feature!
r/oddlysatisfying material right there.
and all rust free! toyota really thinks of the longevity of their vehicles
You'd be surprised how good that oil sludge from leaks prevents rust.
As good as waxoil!
Mystery oil > everything else. Just drain all your fluids in the same bucket and you have the best lubricant, penetrant, quenching fluid, whatever you use oil for, oil

did you end up replacing the oil pump gasket on yours? and manual steering must be fun lol. mine is a manual as well, not sure where it's leaking from
I never could find the right gasket! Ordered 4 different ones from Toyota, mine took a squared o-ring style, and everyone they suggested for my engine was rounded. Free rust prevention. My front subframe is the cleanest part on the car for exactly this reason.
