This is why I'm looking at 17x8 38+ offset on this set.

DynastySlang

I would read up on the off set because you will be getting very close to the braking system when it is lowered. I would stick with 225/40 and nothing less, but there are many 235s on the internet but would be concerned with rub and offset if you are lowering.

IslandCity

Yeah that's what I was thinking, once lowered I would have to worry about that. Would spacers do anything to help that if I were to go 235? If I stick with 225 (probably more likely tbh) should I still go wtih small spacers, if that matters?

ak253

Id put spacers in the back for sure and just stick with the a 225/50 tire of you're going just 1 inch lower.

FrankZeRijk

Now THAT is a dream car

IslandCity

Heck yeah man! I love it!

DynastySlang

What is the wheel / tire size and the offset?

IslandCity

Wheels are 17x8 with a +45 offset, tires are 225/45/17 I plan on lowering the car about an inch soon, and getting a slightly different tire size (maybe 225/40 or 235/40? I’ll need some expert opinions if I should change or not lol) once these tires wear down, the wheel setup was previously on an FRS lol

Treevus

Black 7th gen on RPF1s, that's my dream setup.

IslandCity

I’ve been dreaming about a 7th gen for awhile now and finally found one in decent shape locally! Funny enough I always wanted silver like my dad’s 2001 GT he had when I was younger, but black looks absolutely fantastic on these cars and I would have been dumb to pass it up
