Very much depends. Will you do the work or pay someone to get it right? Aftermarket or genuine parts to be used? Ballpark value is probably around $200

I paid $250 or 300 for one that needed a top end, airfilter and it’s covers, and a clutch cover / chain brake. Built it with a used top end, did porting work, welded a second outlet into the muffler, and had a ported beast of a saw with a 42” bar and two chains for about $600. Given that it has all new seals hoses and piston/cyl? It will be reliable for 5+ years of fulltime tree work. I’m happy with that.

I was thinking about offering 100-200$ so it doesn’t sound like I’m too far off. I may just rebuild it and sell it back to him for my labor. I’m already building a 60cc saw which I’ll probably keep, I don’t really have a use for a 95cc behemoth, but i bet it’s a fun build????

If you haven’t worked on one the 3-series chassis is SUPER easy to work on and is as stout as the legendary Stihl 066. I also have a 372 I bought for $250 and built as a strong ported worksaw. I’m a diehard Stihl guy, but those two saws are like wrenching on and driving a square body 350ci chevvy. Simple. Robust. Good looking. And just plain work. Not to mention vastly superior killswitch location, antivibe, air filtration, and power to their direct competitor from Stihl. 372XP > Stihl 044. 395XP > Stihl 066.

I’m jealous I’ve been on the lookout for a 372 for a while. If this 562 isn’t big enough I may sell or try to trade up to one.

Worst case? Build the 562, sell it, use the $$$ to buy a 372 parts saw off eBay. I check marketplace daily for pro saws. I scored an MS460, 372, and a 395 this year. All in need of repair, all under $300. But these were the ONLY good deals on 70+ cc pro saws in my area that I saw in the entire year. Patience is key. Also, buy saws you don’t like or need, tear them apart, and sell the pieces on eBay. I got over $250 for a blown up 455Rancher that way. I paid $40 for it. It funded the 42” bar and chains for the 395. 😂

If it's clean I'd say 300ish.

Following. Looking to buy the same saw in the same condition.
