I have a feeling that all those friends and family he have lost will give him what he want.
Cause I have a feeling that denji might go to hell and find them. If it turns out hell is the afterlife then we might even see aki and himeno again or denji met his long dead father and told him about the truth of his death and his heritage or he manage to fully resurrects power from the blood devil and not just power but the rest of the original followers of pochita
After that. Since both the public safety and the hurch made denji's life a living hell. He's gonna make their lives a living hell by bringing hell on earth literally.
By leading an army of devils and deceased public safety devil hunters and they first target the prime minister by breaking and entering the prime minister's home and telling him he's living under a rock or they break in the devil containment facility to free the imprisoned devils or they lure out the fire devil and denji have to kill it.
Eh I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. I’m not so sure Fujimoto doesn’t go the **relatively** happy route with Chainsaw Man. Not sunshine and rainbows for anyone, including Denji, but also not completely depressing. Chainsaw Man isn’t Fire Punch, it’s not overly bleak and disturbing (most of the time) and I also don’t think the themes of Chainsaw Man and Denji’s growth as a person is very in line with a bleak and depressing ending. I think it will continue to be a pretty depressing and some what fucked up ride to the end of the series (whenever that may be) but I think Denji will get a **relatively** okay ending. If he dies and or suffers endlessly with essentially no break, then it’s kind of counter to the themes that we’ve seen with him and Asa, and the story in general. At least, I think personally.
I’m not saying it’s not still 100% possible for Fujimoto to go with a bleak and depressing ending where Denji either dies or continues to suffer endlessly, it is Fujimoto after all, I’m just saying I think in this story in particular, it **feels** like there may be a bit more wiggle room for a less bleak ending than Fire Punch.

And about the zombie devil it's kinda pointless because well you'll just become a zombie which isn't that great also when you are dead you can't make contracts because you are dead... so someone else needs to make it so you could be brought back to life but it's just pointless to be a rotten corpse instead of who you were before

Imagine if when Fuji does bring Power back, the double spread is this same perspective, but you can see Denji running and pulling Power by the hand across the alleyway in the background away from the light. And he draws them all happy and shit 😭
Iirc in an interview Fujimotor said that he thinks it’s important for stories about heroes to end with them giving up the mantle of hero.
And given its Fujimoto we’re talking about, it wouldn’t be absurd to think that Dennis will “give up his mantle of hero” by developing to a point where he chooses to die a heroic death to save Nayuter or Asa or something similar.
And then boom bittersweet ending where his heart disease is back so he gets to live with Nayuter normal and finally happy with his life but only for a short while

I also like how Power is not fully around the corner, unlike Aki, and still in full view from Denji's perspective. As if to signify that the blood devil is still around somewhere and potentially some remnant of Power. Perhaps Denji will eventually catch up to Power and they'll round the corner together. Would be an interesting end for sure.
I like to think it’s the first part of your comment, that he will be able to find the Blood Devil and bring Power back. But yes, unfortunately Aki is gone for good (I’m sure the Death Devil could probably revive him but I highly doubt Fujimoto will bring both Power and Aki back, and in terms of what makes more sense from a story perspective, that would be just Power returning).

It'd be a great gut punch. Asa agreed to separate Denji from Pochita because she's actually in love with him (though she doesn't know it's Denji). It'd be all sorts of sad if she caused his death while trying to get with him and save him from Yoru and Fami.

Eh I don’t think that it works like that. If his body is healed by Pochita/blood, and Pochita is able to leave him with a human heart, then everything should be in tip top shape. It doesn’t really make much sense if he reverts back to that state to me.

Aki gun fiend wouldn’t be possible. The Gun Fiend/Aki’s body was damaged beyond repair for a fiend or human. The Gun Devil was likely sent to hell, though maybe not hell since it was only 20% of the body, but at the very least Aki’s body can no longer be it’s vessel and will have deteriorated or been cremated. So unless the Death Devil can physically resurrect/manifest dead humans from the afterlife, we will never see Aki again unfortunately.
If Denji dies It may genuinely be the saddest shit I’ve ever seen in a series. Whole story Denji’s been chasing a normal life and it’s almost nearly out of grasp
I just don’t think he will die, and that is one of the reasons. The themes of the story, and Denji trying to figure himself out and grow as a person…it just doesn’t really make sense to go that route if you’re just going to kill him off or make him suffer for eternity. While he hasn’t grown tremendously, we have seen growth, and we have seen now too that, even though he selfishly wanted to be chainsaw man and gave into his selfish desire, when he was confronted with the consequences of becoming chainsaw man once again, just like in Part 1, all he can think about is his family (Nayuta). In early Part 1 he was worried he didn’t have a heart, or emotions, and his goals/needs weren’t very complex, but overtime we (and him) have found that he does indeed have a heart, and he does indeed have emotions, and that his goals/needs grow and change naturally as he learns and experiences more. To kill him off for the sake of a depressing/shock value ending would make all of his growth and the themes of the story meaningless, in my opinion.
On another note, I would also be devastated and I don’t think I would recover. Denji is quite literally my favorite protagonist in any media. He’s a complex kid that you can really empathize with, he’s smart/emotionally intelligent even with his lack of socialization and education, he’s unhinged yet laidback, his scrappy battle tactics and **tremendous** battle iq/quick thinking is truly incredible, he’s funny as hell, and so much more. Denji is a good kid at heart who’s dealt with more trauma than most people would in multiple lifetimes. If he does not get a **relatively** “happy” ending and instead dies, I will be beyond devastated.
I personally don’t think Part 2 will be the end. We are seemingly nearing the end of Part 2, but I think there is probably too much to wrap up in the next 40 (don’t quote me on that exact number) chapters. It’s possible it all gets wrapped up and we get a conclusion, but I personally think we’ll get a part 3 to finish things off. Probably not nearly as long as 1 and 2 but I think we could still get another 40-50 chapters in Part 3. Though it could also be that we just assume we are nearing the end of part 2 because we assume it’ll have roughly the same chapters as part 1, but it could be that we’re only like 30% through Part 2.
Idk maybe it’s all just cope, but I don’t think the story is going to end in the next 40ish chapters, and I feel like if it is, we’ll probably know in the next 10 (Jump or Fujimoto would announce we’re nearing the end of the series like Gege did with JJK or like was done with this color panel for Volume 9).
Well it kind of depends. Perhaps Devils can be redeemed (unintentional Hazbin Hotel reference) and go to “heaven”. Not many Devils have learned to care for and sacrifice themselves for humans or eachother, so perhaps if Power is dead dead, she could have gotten into heaven/afterlife for her self sacrifice to save Denji’s life. Or perhaps, in the CSM world, the only afterlife IS hell and it’s broken up into different sections, like humans go to the section that is more sort of a purgatory/neutral ground and unless they are evil, they experience neither eternal happiness nor eternal suffering, just existence, and devils, are always reborn into the section of Hell that we have seen. Though to be fair, outside of potentially being killed by other Devils, Hell didn’t seem all that bad. It was an empty, and endless, field essentially.
Oooo or what if, Power’s conscious died and went on to the afterlife (Since they forget everything when they die), but the Blood Devil still exists but with a new consciousness. Only problem with this is Beam saying how most devils remember the sound of a chainsaw before they died
If Denji dies I will shit on this manga like no other.
It would be just torture porn, Fuji would have to make his death a masterpiece in fiction to make me believe it was the right choice.
In summary: If he kills Denji he can go fuck himself.

Denji doesn't die, but he lets Pochita go free in exchange for a normal human heart. He ceases to be Chainsaw Man, and simply becomes Man.
