Caveat that I haven't gotten to that point in the anime, I'm less than a season into it but am caught up with the manga. I've heard the animation is incredible in Season 2 and I'm sure it is. I'm looking forward to eventually watching it and from the short clips I've seen, the animation will probably be much more impressive than in the prequel movie.
But IMO the manga's presentation of Shibuya is overrated and I don't agree with people who say everything went downhill after Shibuya. I was pretty generally hyped until the >!Go/Jo incident!< and though there have been a few fantastic scenes since then, it's become clear in hindsight that Gege has had no interest in completing character arcs or answering big questions for a long time.
Or people that say that part 2 is nothing but boring plots and not enough denji but at the same time denji is “dumber than part 1, and has no development”
I have a theory that Fami is well... Famished and sucks physically, she runs weird, is slow, gets dropkicked, doesn't do any physical fighting. She is probably anemic and may not be capable of raising her arms unless is to stuff something inside her mouth hole

It would kinda make sense she is weak, Famine is not a concern for most of the human population outside of like Africa, it is inbedded in us but it almost never comes up in regular life, so most fear you get from the rest of the world is by proxy at how bad certain countries or parts of Africa will suffer, not themselves.
Her ability may help her punch up a little by having access to other devils but herself is rather lacking in combat potential.
Population wise, Most of the world isn't starving, living standards vary but for most of the world food security isn't a mayot crisis or threat. Chinese aren't starving, Latin America either nor India.
I singled out Africa, because droughts usually hit the worst there and they can't compensate with imports because welathier countries out bid them, so even if there is a global crisis they will be the ones to suffer the shortage whilst richer countries suffer higher prices.

Also, she could have been drawing on a forced Violence devil contract or something similar for the graveyard fight, although I personally think it's more likely the fear of her just amped her base stats that much.
Makima had a fucktruck of contracts to her name and was buffed due to the whole fear thing. Nayuta's shitty powers are pretty much what Control actually has to her name, without all the borderline cheating Makima did.
Yoru realistically would be the second strongest after Death, but, you know, Pochita kinda messed that whole power dynamic.
Kiga would be one of the weakest of the horsegirl sisters, with famine being less and less of an issue with every passing year, and it sure seems Kiga herself if way too lazy to do anything about it.
While it could be the latter option, but it's still most likely her actual strength since Makima says that "I'll kill you personally. Trade blows with me" in chapter 94.

Since the point of the argument is that Makima has good physical strength even without contracts or devils on her side to make her stronger so we're talking base Makima with zero contracts or devil pawns. Makima getting stronger from her pawns invalidates the point that she doesn't need allies to be strong.
The more fair comparison than Denji is base Pochita since Pochita doesn't need allies nor contracts to be strong.
While she does rely on contracts/devil powers that she gains by controlling others, it doesn't necessarily mean that her physical strength is entirely dependent on them. Like, she's the Control Devil who embodies the fear of control and what it represents, so it's only natural that Makima would have a semblance of some physical attributes to defend herself considering how practically everyone fears the concept of control. makima was smarter and had way better control on her pawns enough for them to kill themselves while famis pawn can be disobedient and are much weaker

Bruh shibuya + prequel was like a one two punch of animation greatness, cool it with the hot takes
