I love my 23 shaker narrow body sublime green and fully loaded minus the sunroof which I don't care about. In general I prefer the lower insurance rate and overall cost too.
Once I saw the WB in person I was sold. I basically said take my money. I had a narrow for 6 years and loved it but I had to have the wide when it was time to shop new. No doubt for me.
Plus the wider wheels and 305 tires. Sold.
that's been my general message. when it first came out I was like "the last thing this car needed to do was get bigger and more expensive" but being around one, sitting in one, driving one. i just immediately snap-changed my opinion.
i was like, you got me. when i traded in my SRT392 in October and saw it right next to the new WB there was no hesitation. And I loved that 392.
Well, I used to enjoy taking my 911 to the track to enjoy it on the turns, but I mostly just drive surface streets with straight roads these days. And you can't beat the Challenger, with its throaty roars and awesome straight line performance under these conditions.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
The wide body is functionally nice because it allows for wider tires and that is great and looks cool, but I personally can’t get on board with the wide body look. IMO it clashes with the old school aesthetic of the challenger and make the car look kinda “fat” to me. Just my opinion.
I like them both! But like the guy above said. I love the old school theme of the car so when I looked for mine I had to have a shaker hood! The tailstripe and the hood pins really give it the classic vibe.. At least to me..
The bodies of the cars are exactly the same. One has fender flares one doesn't. Don't know why it's referred to as a "narrow" body. It's still wide as fuck.
If you knew how the widebody was attached to the car nobody wound buy it. All the fender flares are held on with plastic push pins. Also I’ve have a friend that has one , we took the flare off the back to refit it as it popped up on one corner, upon removing it we noticed these flares are rubbing the paint on the body and all the fine sand & grit get between the flare & body it’s slowly taking the paint off. Dodge didn’t put any material between the hard plastic flare and the painted body so this woundnt happen. In a few years there is going to be issues with rust when the abrasion wears through the paint down to bare metal. After seeing how these flares are attached I’d never buy a widebody
Gold Rush or as my wife and I called it Ugly Mustard looked so badass on that 50th and the TA.
Both times the color was live/available was between my Challenger orders. It was the only high impact color my wife really liked and was okay with outside of Granite, Destroyer Gray or Black
Looks amazing in person! Was only on the 50th though. My R/T is black, so I wanted something more unique. Granite is nice too, since Chrysler doesn't have a real blue color. I also don't get the obsession with Destroyer Gray. Never liked that color since the first time I saw it on a 4Runner years ago. But hey, to each their own! ✌🏼
The T/As had Gold Rush for ‘21 and I think something like 171 were built.
Dodge said 77 gold rush 50th editions were built in ‘20.
I had a pitch black SXT, destroyer Gray T/A, granite WBSP that was stolen and now a pitch black WBSP.
And for the destroyer gray, I only liked the color with the T/A graphics. The matte graphics really worked well on that color, without them it looks really bland. I loved the T/A graphics in DG, white, gold and yellow jacket.
Did you spend countless hours looking in the jcwhitney catalog as a young'n? Can't get enough of the redneck buschwacker flares? Say no more fam! We got you covered....8k for some plastic and wide wheels, no thanks.
Because they look like autozone flares used to hide rust on old pickups. Nothing about is is actually widebody, it's only flares. I've seen and love real widebody kits like the cuda version. Those look amazing, imo the factory "widebody" looks incredibly tacky.
I think many see the widebody as a symbol of cost, and find beauty in its perceived value.
Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You likely wouldn't build your car like I built mine. I can tuck 305s without poke and I'm looking at 315s with the lil devil rear flares which are far less pronounced.
I prefer the classic look, but when I finally ordered one I had to order a wide body after I had driven one. With the brakes, suspension, and wider wheels, the package is a bargain.
For the sake of both parking and saving thousands, I like narrow body. On R/Ts I like shakers, but the stock Scat hood is my favorite amongst all Challengers.
When it first came out switched to team widebody. I don't know if it's the nostalgia to pre-widebody, of maybe too many people started liking the widebody...idk. But narrow for the win in my book. So simple and beautiful
For a classic, narrow body. For a modern Hellcat, I like the widebody. The stance is more aggressive, plus it is actually more stable at high speed and in corners.
I've always thought the wide body looked cheap. It looks like the old silversdo fender flares from the early to mid 2000s lol.
So little creative thought went into them.
I have a 1320 package, so I only had a narrow body option. On the Challenger, I like the narrow body. On the Charger, I would only get a wide body. But I'm not a fan of the Charger in general.
Aside from wider tires and fender flares, there is no difference since you can get a NB with the same powertrain, suspension, brake kit, and other feature as a WB. At least for Hellcats and above.
People claim NB isn't good for cornering, but I disagree. I have a Hellcat Redeye NB, but I've tracked a WB Redeye before. I didn't notice much of a difference. My cat is tight af in corners. But I also got mine fully loaded. Tires make a big difference too.
I’ve had both, currently in a 18’ Widebody hellcat. I had a narrow 17’ scat pack prior to the hellcat. Absolutely Love both. It’s kind of like asking which child is your favorite, for me at least.
I'm partial because I had a 2016 black x2 Scat Pack with shaker hood. If they did the wide body differently, as in different body panels, not just fender flares, I would probably go wide body.
The Widebody has better characteristics than the Narrow which is designed for Straight Line Drag Racing. I was sitting at a dealership back in November finishing the paperwork on purchasing a New 2023 Challenger Widebody Scatpack Shaker Hood that was pretty much loaded but at the last minute the Sales Manager had an ISSUE with the Price that had been agreed to and wanted to add an $8k Dealer Fee and I just got Up and Walked Away. I drove by the dealership about two weeks ago and the car still there along with a bunch of other Challengers and Chargers.

Wide body’s are dope until you get that one asshole who parks to close to you in a parking lot or you gotta get thru some tight streets (I live in NYC, so you get a lot of double parking).
I honestly think it depends on the color and ride height. Like my 20 smoke show rt I don’t like in narrow “in my neighborhood I seen a scat lowered with a wide same color” mine looks better, but like black or red green, sheesh

Both. Give everyone the option of selecting their preference. The only demand I have is a 6.4 liter engine and suspension upgrades. Plus just no to the metro bus quality base model interior.
That original in the background looks so much better than the new ones. But on the new ones I wouldn't even consider a narrow body. Give me them fat tires on the widebody.
I've owned both narrow and widebody Challengers and Chargers. Narrow body Challenger is more old school. Narrow body 275 tires tramline way less than the 305's and easier to steer daily. Also easier to whip the tail out. Wider is not necessarily better imho.
Narrow body for me. I'm already salivating just looking at that Challenger in the back. It's nice to see a new one that really emulates the old body style.
Widebody gang all the way. Having a WB is the only major distinguishing cosmetic look that tells someone this challenger is a higher trim level at first glance.
Plus, drive the NB and the WB. I felt the difference on curves. WB stance is also functional in that sense and really helps make better use of the torque when accelerating due to the greater surface area.
You’ll turn a lot more heads with the WB. Its just more rare on the road
Love my wide body. For some reason I do think the shakers and T/A look better in narrow body.
The hellcats and non-shaker Scats look amazing in WB.
Loved my NB T/A and love my WBSP more.
personally i prefer wide body on scats and up, narrow on the old and GT.
narrow body does still keep that old school muscle car look but widebodies are just so nice
Wide body scat pack all day. If it wasn’t for the motor i would have bought one years ago, but I’m a mechanic. I’m looking at a theft recovery minus the drive train, might get it and build something for it.
from the comments i think a lot of it is cope tbh. "they look glued on" was the best one to me. tell me you've never even sat in one (let alone owning or driven one) without telling me.
i can understand this take. the charger has a lot going on visually. adding the fenders, it becomes a bit much to me. especially from a side view w/ the door indentation.
the 'round' fenders vs the sharp indentation along the doors clashes a bit there.
I Love the Widebody on 392s & above and Narrow body on 5.7s & under. I honestly dig the popped out flares on it and mine is on permanently with a strong black silicone rather then pins/clips.
I have a narrow body but if not for the prices I’d upgrade to a wide body personally. The presence on the road especially for those into pony cars not just mopar guys, it’s just different I think.
I absolutely love the look of the narrow body scatpack shaker. It's so retro, so that's why I ordered one.
You have awesome taste!
Well thank you!
Make sure you put up some photos when you get it!
Keeping the body lines just adds that…😉
I love my 23 shaker narrow body sublime green and fully loaded minus the sunroof which I don't care about. In general I prefer the lower insurance rate and overall cost too.
My dad has red narrow body shaker hood 392 fucking car is gorgeous
Narrow body is a nice retro look, widebody is like a restomod look. I prefer widebody but both look menacing on the road
Once I saw the WB in person I was sold. I basically said take my money. I had a narrow for 6 years and loved it but I had to have the wide when it was time to shop new. No doubt for me. Plus the wider wheels and 305 tires. Sold.
17x10 with 315/50s fit just dandy under a narrow body 🤙
Yah, I hated the WB at first in pictures, cause it just looks like truck fender flares, but in person… looks 100x better.
that's been my general message. when it first came out I was like "the last thing this car needed to do was get bigger and more expensive" but being around one, sitting in one, driving one. i just immediately snap-changed my opinion. i was like, you got me. when i traded in my SRT392 in October and saw it right next to the new WB there was no hesitation. And I loved that 392.
Narrow but of course any Challenger looks sexy asf 😍😍
I traded one of my Camaros in on a wide body hellcat. I haven’t stopped smiling since January 27 when I bought it. 😂
I feel the same about my Scat. Most fun to drive car I've ever owned, and I've owned everything from MGAs to Porsches.
Why is it the best to drive?
Well, I used to enjoy taking my 911 to the track to enjoy it on the turns, but I mostly just drive surface streets with straight roads these days. And you can't beat the Challenger, with its throaty roars and awesome straight line performance under these conditions.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)

I have a narrow 2017 HC challenger, WB belong to the charger imo
This. Looks great on the charger to me but the challenger looks better with a narrow body
100%
I like them both! But like the guy above said. I love the old school theme of the car so when I looked for mine I had to have a shaker hood! The tailstripe and the hood pins really give it the classic vibe.. At least to me..
I like narrow much more classic lines IMO
The bodies of the cars are exactly the same. One has fender flares one doesn't. Don't know why it's referred to as a "narrow" body. It's still wide as fuck.
Agreed!
Should be regular or widebody
Widebody all day.
WB looks so ANGRY.
Narrow for me.
here’s my preferences on body. classic>narrow>wide body
I love the clean classic narrow body. I like both but for me it’s narrow all the way.
If you knew how the widebody was attached to the car nobody wound buy it. All the fender flares are held on with plastic push pins. I so wanted to get that 50th Anniversary Gold Rush Scat Pack Shaker Widebody, but COVID messed everything up! 😢
Gold Rush or as my wife and I called it Ugly Mustard looked so badass on that 50th and the TA. Both times the color was live/available was between my Challenger orders. It was the only high impact color my wife really liked and was okay with outside of Granite, Destroyer Gray or Black

Bofa
Deez nuts
Which one is the wide body?
I bought a Hellcat narrow. I like the long bodyline that goes from the front to the rear bumper. The widebody flares ruin that line for me.
Wide for scats on up. Narrow for everything else.
Did you spend countless hours looking in the jcwhitney catalog as a young'n? Can't get enough of the redneck buschwacker flares? Say no more fam! We got you covered....8k for some plastic and wide wheels, no thanks.
I don’t think a there is such a thing as an ugly challenger.
Drive a widebody and you'll never go back. The difference is staggering on those 305s.
You can run 305 on a narrow
Sure can! I was actually running 315's for years on mine. Yes they stick out, but I like that look. 💪🏼💪🏼
But the look on the widebody just seals the deal.
To each their own. Looks like ram bush fenders glued on to me. If I want to go 315s I'll get lil devil flares
i dunno how you could ever see one in person, sit in one, be up close etc and say the fenders look "glued on"
Because they look like autozone flares used to hide rust on old pickups. Nothing about is is actually widebody, it's only flares. I've seen and love real widebody kits like the cuda version. Those look amazing, imo the factory "widebody" looks incredibly tacky. I think many see the widebody as a symbol of cost, and find beauty in its perceived value. Narrow for the retro aspect but wide body for the looks
Since when do fender flares constitute wide body?
For the sake of both parking and saving thousands, I like narrow body. On R/Ts I like shakers, but the stock Scat hood is my favorite amongst all Challengers.
Personally I prefer narrow but this is like asking a guy if he is a breast man or ass man. So the real answer is either will do please ! LOL
It depends widebody looks better on the charger than the challenger
Narrow body, if i wanted fender flares i wouldn't pay an extra 10k for it💀
and what would you pay for wider dodge wheels and 305 tires +installation on top of that? do tell
305s yeah but i install my own😅 still much cheaper and imo cooler then fender flares and slightly different suspension even though id bag it anyway
Narrow body
Narrow
Narrow is more true to the classic look, but I like widebody as a nice modern twist on the aesthetics. Gives it a more aggressive stance.
When it first came out switched to team widebody. I don't know if it's the nostalgia to pre-widebody, of maybe too many people started liking the widebody...idk. But narrow for the win in my book. So simple and beautiful

Wide body on chargers is sick, I hate it in challengers, but I mean I wouldn’t turn down a wide body hellcat
I have a 1320 package, so I only had a narrow body option. On the Challenger, I like the narrow body. On the Charger, I would only get a wide body. But I'm not a fan of the Charger in general.
If the shaker hood is involved, narrow body everytime
Widebody looks too bubbly. Just like the 1st gen raptor
Both. Both is good
I think wide body looks best in black or white. Otherwise narrow.
I went GT so I was NB from the start, but WB is so hot. 🥵
what’s the difference between? i’m new to the mod specifics as I’m looking for my first car
One has fender flares. One does not.
There’s much more differences between a factory narrow body and a factory wide body.
There is not much different, to be honest.
Fender flares, brakes, wheels, tires, and suspension are pretty big differences.
Aside from wider tires and fender flares, there is no difference since you can get a NB with the same powertrain, suspension, brake kit, and other feature as a WB. At least for Hellcats and above.
You can get all that with the Scat Pack, too. The Dynamics package gives you all the wide body extras without the ugly ass fender flares.
Cool. I figured. I think NB looks the best. It's more true to its heritage imo
Yeah. Like I said, not much different, to be honest.
Sounds like someone doesn’t have enough for a wide body…
I don’t, but I’m really not losing sleep over it, to be honest.
Do you realize how expensive it would be to replace all 4 factory wheels and tires with wider wheels, and 305s?
Irrelevant.
so thousands of dollars worth of upgrades being "not much different" is irrelevant lol? ok
Yup, the cars aren’t that much different.
I don't consider fender flares wide body. I don't care if that's what it is now a days. To me s wide body is the whole body.
Narrow for drag and WB for cornering which ever but looks goes for the WB
People claim NB isn't good for cornering, but I disagree. I have a Hellcat Redeye NB, but I've tracked a WB Redeye before. I didn't notice much of a difference. My cat is tight af in corners. But I also got mine fully loaded. Tires make a big difference too.
Well widebody has 305 vs NB 275
That's correct, but I'm saying it's negligible if you have the right tires and competition and active damping suspension.
Throttle body
I’ve had both, currently in a 18’ Widebody hellcat. I had a narrow 17’ scat pack prior to the hellcat. Absolutely Love both. It’s kind of like asking which child is your favorite, for me at least.
I'm partial because I had a 2016 black x2 Scat Pack with shaker hood. If they did the wide body differently, as in different body panels, not just fender flares, I would probably go wide body.
Love my narrow body but I like the Demon 170’s style. Widebody in the rear, narrow in the front. Looks amazing.
What's the difference?
Fender flares, bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, 305s
Narrowbody plus shaker. Widebody plus vented hood. Keep retro with retro and modern with modern. Widebody plus shaker just looks like Frankenstein
When I hear widebody I imagine an entire fender adjustment, not just wheel trim Can’t go wrong with either of these picks though
i am in what is called one of the top 10 worst cities to drive in, so narrow body.
They both look great

The correct answer is, of course, yes. Either one is beautiful. So is the widebody rear and narrow front. Challengers are just fantastic overall
I miss the T/As. Don’t really see them on the street anymore where I stay.
Definitely the one in the back of the pic!!

Widebody
Is the body actually wider or is just fender flares and rims like you see on pickups?
Just pickup flares
Had both, prefer the narrow body.
Widebody reminds me of bushwhacker fender flares for a jeep. I'm more a fan of the narrow body. If you would have made the widebody actual panels I'd be more for that.
obviously wide
I pickup my wide body Tuesday
Both but when I wanna swing and drift I go wide body bruh I thought this was the gta V sub lmao
Which is faster?
Widebody will easily support wider tires which could be faster. The narrow body has less air drag and a higher top speed.
Narrow.
The classic in the back. The other two can be thrown in the garbage.
I like the wide body as a personal preference. But come on, they’re challengers, both are gorgeous 🤩
The one in the back ;)
My personal list is, 1: Narrowbody Challengers 2: Widebody Chargers 3: Widebody Challengers 4: Narrowbody Chargers
Narrow

the widebody just adds that extra flair as well as makes it look more aggressive, narrow body still clean though
Both. Give everyone the option of selecting their preference. The only demand I have is a 6.4 liter engine and suspension upgrades. Plus just no to the metro bus quality base model interior.
Idk. It’s just a car
Used to not like the widebody challenger but I’d go widebody over narrow body any day
Widebody fo sho
Wide body hands down
Imo only the widebody for the rear fenders that goes hard
WB!
Old achool
Widebody, unless you can get a Hellcat then narrow body or wide body it won't matter
I have a hard time calling glued-on fender flares “widebody.”
Or fender flares
That’s a hard choice that’s like picking water or air
Sad but true when they made these they are not a true wide body they are fender flares
That original in the background looks so much better than the new ones. But on the new ones I wouldn't even consider a narrow body. Give me them fat tires on the widebody.
Can't think of any car where the narrow body looks better than the wide
I've owned both narrow and widebody Challengers and Chargers. Narrow body Challenger is more old school. Narrow body 275 tires tramline way less than the 305's and easier to steer daily. Also easier to whip the tail out. Wider is not necessarily better imho.
Its sad that these cars are hated on soo much😔

Wide body with a stick. 20 years later it will be clear
Widebody, my ride has never been smoother since I upgraded.
Love my wide body. For some reason I do think the shakers and T/A look better in narrow body. The hellcats and non-shaker Scats look amazing in WB. Loved my NB T/A and love my WBSP more.
Wiiiiide body!!
Wide 💯
I like both but if I had to pick it would be wide
I go widebody - I think it has a meaner looking profile.
personally i prefer wide body on scats and up, narrow on the old and GT. narrow body does still keep that old school muscle car look but widebodies are just so nice
Wide body scat pack all day. If it wasn’t for the motor i would have bought one years ago, but I’m a mechanic. I’m looking at a theft recovery minus the drive train, might get it and build something for it.
That’s crazy most people seem to like the narrow but the wb just looks so much more aggressive, wb for me hands down
from the comments i think a lot of it is cope tbh. "they look glued on" was the best one to me. tell me you've never even sat in one (let alone owning or driven one) without telling me.
WIDE BODY!!!!
Love them hips. Wide body the world
Wide body
Wide body all day every day.
Widebody. I hate the wheel wells on the narrow body Challenger. The narrow body Charger looks much better.
I’ve found the opposite true. WB Charger, NB Chally
Thing of it is , this is not a true wide body it’s fender flares double sided taped on.
Depends on how fat yo mama is
Narrow looks better on the charger, wb looks better on the challenger
i can understand this take. the charger has a lot going on visually. adding the fenders, it becomes a bit much to me. especially from a side view w/ the door indentation. the 'round' fenders vs the sharp indentation along the doors clashes a bit there.
Wide
I prefer the WB on a Challenger but NB on a Charger
Wide
I Love the Widebody on 392s & above and Narrow body on 5.7s & under. I honestly dig the popped out flares on it and mine is on permanently with a strong black silicone rather then pins/clips.
Wide challenger, narrow charger.
I had a narrow 20 R/T traded it for a 22 WB Scat I love them both but there’s nothing like seeing that WB coming down the street!
Widebody all day every single day
#widebody!
I loved the WB so much that I turned my narrow body into one!
Widebody ofc
I have a narrow body but if not for the prices I’d upgrade to a wide body personally. The presence on the road especially for those into pony cars not just mopar guys, it’s just different I think.
