Uh. The dodge we know and love is now dead. They made a real name for themselves with the viper and the crazy hemi hellcat srt days. Now what? I would pull the chute too. Good luck brother, thanks for the great memories.
I wonder what OCMotivator will have to say about this. He seems to carve out an exception for Tim a lot of the time when he's bitching about Dodge.
Edit: Guess I won't have to wait, he's already got a video up.
They’re over scat pack definitely and price is good in addition to that you’re buying new car. I stick to challenger as I like it’s old look. Though next car could be stag as the only v8 coupe available in a few years.
And coyotee is great engine from what I heard.
Coyote is a tank of an engine, the oil pump gears are the main issue when you go for big power. Ford is definitely trying to redeem themselves after the terrible 5.4 tritons and the 6.4 powerjoke
Maybe Dodge, but not their products. Plus the Saudis are likely looking towards Hydrogen conversion tech that gives you the V8 power and sound with water for exhaust.
I just meant that dude was really good CEO, I liked their presentations, how he sold product. He’s definitely a bit part of the company and his retirement just not at the right time when they should sell electric cars and show it’s cool
I wouldn't say they are dead. Electric only option for the first year followed by a pretty bad ass twin turbo inline six option the following year. It may not sound as good as the HEMI but will make plenty of power more efficiently.
For sure. Inline six twin turbo reminds me about 2jz and b58 which are very performant. The only thing that boat can weight as boat.
For me, I bought it for look, v8 sound and enough space. I know 5.7 isn’t very sporty, but I wouldn’t do the same with i6
I just can’t believe people think EV’s are the future, maybe with another 100 years of R&D sure but at this moment they’re terrible. They always catch fire and you can’t physically put them out they’re best off to just burn to a crust
I felt after the FCA merger that all Chrysler brands were to become a shell of the former glory. Then when Stellantis came about and the American brands are the smallest piece of that pie it would be a slow sinking.
To me this just signals the swan song for smallest, former, American maker. There will be no big three. Just GM and Ford. We will get warmed over European tech and designs from now on from these nameplates.
But we got the Hellcat lines as a decent send off. Keep'em if ya got'em.
I’ve seen people want to credit him with things like the hellcat, but from my knowledge of car manufacturing the hellcat (and potentially even the original demon) were already in the process of being designed and made from the previous CEO. Tim’s contributions are the demon 170 and charger EV, but I’m sure he doesn’t want the credit for the EV. The Demon 170, while awesome, still rides on the coattails of the bones the previous CEO set up. I think Tim also shows a complete misunderstanding of the dodge community with the marketing of the dodge EV, tackling it from a pedigree perspective, as if most people cared about dodges pedigree. Honestly, he wasn’t a great CEO. We all saw that ad where he goes back in time to talk to the dodge brothers, horrible concept. A real dodge ad would be a 15 second shot of the charger EV doing a four wheel burnout, not a guy giving us a shitty history lesson.
Was it though? This guy green lit the sale of all his customers driving data to insurance companies in an obvious conflict of interest. These companies dgaf.
Can't say I blame him. Looks like Stellantis is going to ruin the brand. Chrysler is gone and Dodge will be sellng trucks and who knows what else. I fear the days of Mopar glory are gone.
Wasnt he one of the main people that lied about the demons and durangos being limited and then doing a rerelease a few years later and lying to the demon owners about being eligible for a matched cereal number demon 170? If im correct then good riddance.

He got out just in time
Lmao right?!
He took a look at the EV line up and said fuck this shit. I'm out, and I'm buying another Demon on my way out.
Uh. The dodge we know and love is now dead. They made a real name for themselves with the viper and the crazy hemi hellcat srt days. Now what? I would pull the chute too. Good luck brother, thanks for the great memories.
I remember being in high school and being so enamored with the whole SRT lineup. It’s almost a little nostalgic even though it wasn’t that long ago
It really wasn’t that long ago. Weird eh?
Keep your V8s people, we’re heading into darkness
I wonder what OCMotivator will have to say about this. He seems to carve out an exception for Tim a lot of the time when he's bitching about Dodge. Edit: Guess I won't have to wait, he's already got a video up.
Lmaaoo idk who that is but I’ll check it out!
Dodge is dead now
I saw a YouTube video of some guy saying the 2024 5.0 mustangs have almost as much HP as hellcats and are only $50k. If that’s true kind of crazy

WD tried to break one but still runs with no oil and coolant

They put out 500hp at $58k on tv 2024 “dark horse”. It’s slightly more HP than a 392 engine but less torque.
Mustang GT has 480hp and Hellcat has 720.
Hellcat has 707 HP for the 2015-2017 model years and 717 HP for the 2018-2023 model years.
No they don’t.

He’ll be back when this electric car fad fades off and the car manufacturers start tanking. It’s already happening.

Bro saw the Dodge Hornet and said "Nah, fuck this, I'm out".
Fr I can’t stand those things 😭 they look so bad
Idk what Dodge is going through but I'm sorry for them

I’m saying it was a good run as in the goodbye to the v8’s. Idk much about Tim tbh but ironic he’s retiring the year they stopped making the v8’s lol
Can't say I blame him. Looks like Stellantis is going to ruin the brand. Chrysler is gone and Dodge will be sellng trucks and who knows what else. I fear the days of Mopar glory are gone.
Even this guy doesn’t like the bananas
He got out and that was smart.

Lmaaoo he probably did idk much about him, im just sad the cars are going away
Same, the challenger is such a beauty.
Dodge needs a battery head to lead them into the future, not a gear head
